Introduction:
I have a couple of thoughts that I would like to share with you. I'm a hltv.org user for some time now, I have seen tones od topics and my conclusion is clear - 90% of people here are kids with life and social problems who need to destroy, troll and whatever you want, other users.
Examples:
I. During the IEM WC people were creating a lot of topics about casters. Do you remember that? ReDeYe fart on stream, he missed all actions etc. You were hating guy who is 2xtimes older than most of us and who support eSport for a long time. But when JoeM posted blog here about 1.6 community behaviour you were so respectful, oh... I had tears in my eyes... srsly that was amazing... Wait... Did ESL put 100k into 12 years old game? Yes and you can't stand couple of streams. They need to earn money, some people maybe think that ESL is charity organisation, I would say you a news: they're not.
II. Rahims case. As many of you know he is a greatfrag caster. You no need to like him but also he is supporting eSport and 1.6 . You're crying all the time about cs that it is dying but in the same time you're hating Rahim. For what I would ask? He created a great project, he is streaming from the begin to the end of day, he is sharing his time with us for free. My heart was breaking when I have read that he is good caster for kids etc. Guys I would like to see your streams with your perfect HD quality and I will be happy to hear your perfect english, oh and you shouldn't miss any action. Try to do it, put tones of hours, drink a lot of coffee and after all I will creat a topic that your work is shit, you'are annoying. For me Rahim is a guy with passion, he is supporting community as he can and I'm grateful for that.

I could bring more examples but I will not. I have some bad feeling that everything is coming to hating and trolling here. People are trying to decrease value of others to feel better. Serious life problem.

whats the problem that most people prefer walle and heaton instead that annoying rahim. They have a lot of experience and know a lot more of the game than greatfrag commentator.
In the other hand is like i did not respect lurpis opinion or posts on hltv because he talks about old times, I think is much better experienced people than noobs shoutcasting the game.

Totally agree with you, Admins should start banning like Pus said it last month I think with his blog that they were gonna start banning the trolls but no.. None of them took action and start banning the troll for example half percent of the poland kids, THALESMOREIRA <-- (Biggest troll nerd I've ever seen he doesn't leave his house) And 58% of the indian kids who spam threads and the forums the whole time.

I'm not defending anyone but it's pretty hard to protect every thread from spam, trolls and the rest of retarded users, even if more admins/moderators would be recruited. That's what Bus said in his blog, we should report every abuse we see. From what I've actually noticed, a lot of reported comments are deleted and authors of these are banned. Overall, HLTV crew don't need more moderators, they simply need our help.
But I have to admit, I still see some epic 'trolls' who aren't banned yet (don't know why) ;)

We were set to cast IEM WC, we had the green light from ESL to cast even the Grand final, but his family got bigger, and he had to cancel the Stream 1 day before the start.

I don't have anything particular to say about Rahim or IGC, but when I saw Redeye casting and saw his profile on Google, I had only one expression - "WOW!". Someone with so much dedication towards e-sport. I hope fellow HLTV users would at least try to know what he's done for the community.
I've always enjoyed Redeye's casting and obviously he's a great guy, but admittedly he was awful during IEM. Awful to the extent that his spectating ruined a number of games. I watched some of them live and I also watched some vods for the ones that I missed. Definitely not good enough for the best CS teams in the world.
if u don't like the announcer, just mute it. that's what everyone does for biased sports tv announcers.

It might... but to be honest that's peanuts really. He has a (well paying) full time job, so i doubt he would be putting in many sleepless nights if he genuinely didn't care about the game/community. :)

You're right, it's pretty annoying how people says that CS is dying, ESL etc., doing NOTHING to keep CS alive blah-blah-blah. And the next day when there is no hltv, but only streams by ESL and other sites they're like "oh my God, you want only money, you are stupid blah-blah-blah"...

the cs 1.6 community is the best example of a troll community, they don't believe they are part of a whole, they just open hltv and start their flaming. I've truthfully haven't been here a long time but already grew bored from what I've seen here. It seem like the people worth talking too left 1.6 a couple of years ago, and left is this shadow of a community.

Everything here is a subjective matter, opinions are just many angles to look at something. Even if most people here are kids, kids have their opinions anyways. You don't need to take it so seriously, a single thread complaining RedEye casting does not representative the whole community and some people think CS is dying does not mean all others will be influenced. I still keep playing CS. I don't miss any major CS events. I still watch demos everyday, but I know CS is no religion, it is just a pastime. If CS goes near its lifetime, then let it die. Of course, I'm sad if CS dies, but I'm not trying to convince people that CS will live long because I know that it is the force of evolution.

Hey we never overrrated or something, some ppl got excited and all, but as usual u know the EU trolls keep saying "another Indian Post, or do u have computers, pray to ur cow " etc, that really got many ppl nuts, no disrespect for other countries, probably we r developign at huge rate, but realisticly in current situation EU is the most developed :)

I agree with you, sir. A lot of people put so much effort in keeping cs alive, and a shitload of kids with NO knowledge of what it takes to make a descent event/stream/anything else related to cs, just complain about the negative aspects, but they don't see the possitive side..
Also i kinda agree with Gabe (#3)... a couple of forum admins added to the crew wouldn't be a bad idea.

This group of people are usually too young to formulate common sense and rational thinking or just social outcasts. They will keep breeding and spawning like cockroaches, you can kill them but you can't exterminate the troll race.

Thanks 4 the support PUS.. & u r right.. most of the gys are jst jealous coz IGC is ofering 40000 USD prize money in CS1.6 compared to 20000 usd of CPH games.. M5 were smart to come to India.. I hope they take away the 40000 USD

Well, the IGC thingie is kinda wierd. That event is just crap, and I cant believe how the indians are trying to protect it, its kinda obvious it failed bigtiMe. So, to the Indians: Just face it - IGC is crappy. And btw, we dont give a shit about your education? Seen so many Indians commenting like "well, our country is more well-educated than yours so stfu". What kinda answer is that when the topic usually is about the IGC? Otherwise I agree with you.

nice read, but well, i could counter your arguments:
I-All respects to Redeye for what he's doing for esports, but he really missed a lot of good actions during IEM6, i personally don't get it, since when i'm watching an HLTV, i manage to watch something like 75% of the best highlights, which drops to something like 25% when i'm watching a stream (worse case is when caster is looking to the right guy, but switches to another one far away from the action like 2 seconds before it starts, really annoying).
My solution: 10 or 15 seconds of delay on the HLTV on which the caster is connected, and a second computer connected directly to the server, so they can watch all the actions live and then switch to the right player for the stream. not that hard to do, all you lose is those small "live camera views", but i don't really care about that, except maybe at the end of rounds & during freezetime.
II-I've been watching Rahim's stream ever since he was streaming "not-that-important" games, such as ICSC & stuff, people on the chat have always been very respectful and thankful (at least most of them), again, who cares about some annoying "mature" scandinavian who claims it's for kids & stuff...
III- THe problem with Indians is that they are indeed overexcited with this event, so they just connect to HLTV.org, create an account and try to reach the attention, without even knowing that there have been thousands of topics related to it.
Anyway, we all know the vast majority of the community is a little childish, but the rest of it is worth sharing our opinions and discussing.
