What our community needs
2012-05-29 00:08
Today Monday 28 of May, 12,000+ die hard CS fans watched the FCL quarter finals. I don't know you but I think that's proof on why our community is the strongest in eSports, we are rock solid followers of our game and we don't care about much else but the tough matches our top teams give us.

To keep this thing alive that needs to change, we need to be more proactive when it comes to support the game we love.

We got the numbers but what we need now is to be LOUDER.

Attend the CS events you can, follow and support the CS personalities like Joe Miller, GeT_RiGhT, cArn, markeloff, etc on twitter and facebook, create hype on your local esport communities/forums, its on our hands keep this game on top of eSports!

I made this twitter list so you can easily find and follow some of our CS personalities, including Thorin, HLTV.org, dunN, the entire SK team, legends like shaGuar and method, etc, etc: https://twitter.com/#!/revampedb/cs1-6/members I'm sure there are more CS people around twitter and facebook, so please share them so we can follow them as well!

PS: lots of love to you guys!
To be honest, if the FCL stream was hosted by Corey or Whisenhunt they would have my bandwidth everyday.

+1, Rahim being a commentator on an official stream is a joke. He can have his fun on a alternative stream for tournaments, but being an official streamcaster.. Njet.
2012-05-29 01:40:37
Would you rather have Corey who says he saw ESC in IEM WC so prepared and they were looking confident and still doesn't know their line up and calls taz Seven Four Two?

lmao.

he also calls niko "naiko"
2012-05-29 02:46:44
every english speaking person with no insight how the name is actually pronounced would say "naiko"
2012-05-29 22:36:45
but it comes from nicholas... in fact, its common around here to call them "nico" as a short. I'm pretty sure that would be what niko's surroundings call him.

I think it's short of nikolaus as in SPEED-LINK times.
2012-05-29 23:30:52
you're right, but still they sound the same.
2012-05-30 05:05:18
Yes. There was a streaming long ago here in Brazil where the commentator read cego instead of cogu. What a joke.
2012-05-30 05:07:29
corey has expired for many years ago
2012-05-29 12:16:42
Yes.
2012-05-29 15:17:49
duo cArn and Rhaim is very good for me so personal preferences. ;)
2012-05-30 08:36:09
Whis? Really? Bleh.
2012-05-29 01:45:48
Whisenhunt sucks but Corey is a great caster
2012-05-29 03:56:18
It's DunN?
2012-05-29 16:59:25
yes, dunN is Corey.
2012-05-29 21:22:45
So he is a great caster.
2012-05-29 21:24:15
ahahah

CS 1.6 is NOT the strongest community. Do not blatantly lie, you are thinking of SC2 (and I hate to say it...) as well as LoL.
2012-05-29 04:10:00
It depends on what you undestand with that word, none of those games have been more than a couple of years in the competitive stages and both can easily be replaced by new games.

I'm sorry for you if you think those games will last 1/3 of what 1.6 is lasting. Both are only pushed by the companies that made them and both will die as soon as the hype of being new dies, or Warcraft 4 and DotA 2 get released :).

btw, I don't see SC2 or LoL being big without the help of thousands of casual gamers from the US. 1.6 would destroy both games if it happened to be alive in the US.

2012-05-29 05:12:01
SC2 still has 2 expansions to be launch, one in the coming months and other one in a couple of years, I doubt SC2 will die that easily ;)
2012-05-29 15:17:35
It won't die. SC is still played and people play it since 10 years already.
2012-05-29 15:24:37
thats broodwar and it was played mainly in korea in the rest of the world the gsme was dead because foreigners were nothing compared to koreans, the same will happen when the korean pros get used to SC2.
2012-05-29 15:46:52
yeah, Blizzard has made sure of hook players by making them wait for expansions (in all of their games, lol) but still, I don't think they got what it takes to play a game for half the time we've played the same CS version and their expansions can easily be garbage and even make the foreigners worse than they are :D
2012-05-29 15:59:42
la la la =D

LoL has a great feature that CS should have, when you're in the game they show you that pro matches are being played/about to be played and allow you to spectate. Here most people don't know about HLTV and have to SEARCH for pro gaming to know about matches.
2012-05-29 10:46:01
LoL is just stealing ideas from other games, and they made decent game :)))
2012-05-29 11:45:10
I wonder where did they took that from *COF* DOTA 2 *COF*

Though it seems only MOBA games have this feature O.o
2012-05-29 15:22:22
If I recall correctly, Chet, valve dev, said CS:GO would have a similar feature.

Thank goodness, probably an idea that came from their Dota 2 game. Well didn't CS:GO also have a competitive feature where there's an in game ladder and so forth? You are placed in matches vs people in your skill level.
2012-05-29 15:56:27
Yes, but I doubt CS:GO will have a big and diverse community that can backup that ladder system.

It already has a big community, there are players in that community that neither like 1.6 nor source lol. People that are new to the CS series that is XD
2012-05-29 16:33:24
Not really, 1000 players out of +80.000 keys is nothing. After everyone plays the game the hype will turn to disappointment and the game will die.

Which was said about source, and 1.6 (back in 1.5)
2012-05-29 17:03:51
The forums show that even Saucers don't like CS:GO, that game really needs to change a lot before it can be taken seriously TBH.

I think Valve/HPE have even make whisenhunt and other supporters (i.e. JMC/u5/coL/Dallas venom zid) mad because they keep ignoring what they suggest to make it a competitive title, lmao.

I got tired to be ignored as well, so thats what CS:GO is right now, CS:S 2.

so if it is CS:S 2 why no1 from css likes that game?
2012-05-30 09:47:39
You can't seriously compare those games with CS:GO. Next to CS:GO, CS:S is the best FPS game ever.
2012-05-29 19:35:38
there's a difference between a strong and a big community

2012-05-29 12:48:52
guys how can you compare cs 1.6 fps with non fps games? :DDD

cs 1.6 is the most live watched fps!

dont compare fps vs strategy or smth.
2012-05-29 16:19:24
Joe Miller and Carn should cast FCL
2012-05-29 23:19:30
Agree with that, Joe isn't casting CS since IEM WC :(
2012-05-30 04:50:09
He is working for ESL so I don't know that he can cast other leauges.
2012-05-30 08:37:36
Most guys dont watch live and downloads demo like me
2012-05-29 23:41:31
Agree, we need more support for this game
2012-05-30 05:29:13
At least one fps game is needed in eSport community as far as I know 1.6 is top1 ;)
2012-05-30 08:38:04
we need stable tournaments, that people keeps motivated, lan & online. Stability for the younger players, so you can look forward to something. YENOM<-
2012-05-30 11:20:27
