Life at a B-School (Part-2)
Play this before reading -tinyurl.com/y38x5xe
alternatively,tinyurl.com/4x845k9
****************************************
Its been a roughly a rough 3 months since I’ve been here and things have finally started to look up.
Daily schedule -
Getting up at 10 in the morning when I slept at 7 in the morning – tinyurl.com/d4blgdr
When I go into the class in the hope to learn the knowledge to change the world – tinyurl.com/6tz9dj8
What I end up as – tinyurl.com/bltg43l
Playing CS Source at night after finishing assignments - tinyurl.com/94hvweu
Then I go to bed – tinyurl.com/9m29avm
*On weekends (the entire day) - tinyurl.com/94lqvfv
Moving on, my notable achievements and learnings...
ACADEMICS:-
1. Given my weight, broke one of the legs of my very comfortable chair in the lecture room ( tinyurl.com/d484462 )
2. Have consistently got C in every subject.
3. Have consistently not understood a single concept in the Finance and Statistics lectures.
4. Managed to piss off the Organizational Behaviour professor to the extent that whenever he enters the room he first checks whether I’m present or absent. (A more clear picture: tinyurl.com/4v9aoff )
5. 0/40 in the Finance mid-term exams (Proof: tinyurl.com/97t99wa)
6. Performed ‘Extinction’ on the Accounts teacher. Now he’s stopped asking me questions altogether given my flawless consistency to give every answer wrong. (Extinction = tinyurl.com/8kz3789 )
7. CP (class participation) efforts are the best. This time the professors have performed extinction on me where in consistently NOT giving me the chance to speak when I actually know what I’m speaking. Undesired result for the professor: Consistently stealing the markers so as to stall the class from commencing thereby consistently wasting 15 minutes of the 75 minute lecture.
8. Using the word ‘consistently’ consistently because every subject and every answer invariably warrants its use.
9. Consistently wishing to stab the girl sitting next to me in the neck with a pen because she has to laugh pointlessly just because a minuscule part of the entire class laughed at something WHICH SHE DOES NOT KNOW but still she has to laugh along because...because...she’s mentally retarded (that’s what I like to think)
10. Wishing to burn her armpit hair with a blow torch when she is wearing a sleeveless top and the hair are freaking shining in the fluorescent tube light when she raises her hand for an opportunity to answer.
NON ACADEMICS:-
1. Met some other interesting people. Got introduced to their true selves and my perception towards them changed. The quiet guy is actually really talkative (this dude tinyurl.com/8b27ryh )
and this tall fucktard is actually quite the stud and all the good looking girls want to go out with him ( tinyurl.com/9h2rhkd)
and these are my awesome new friends ( tinyurl.com/cchmas4 ).
2. Every guy and every girl I meet has left behind some guy or some girl who either trampled on their hearts or the other way around. Makes me ponder as to how culturally progressive and open my generation has become. But still most of us don’t understand love or comprehend its power. Love can happen easily – only if you could find two people who enjoy each other‘s no-strings-attached company (and want to have sex ^_^ ).
3. To change your surroundings and inspire people around you cannot happen through some formula, for e.g. mixing one third patience or two thirds honesty or four parts of intellectualism. It happens by you genuinely being the change that you want to see around you. You cannot fake that change. You have to sweat yourself and make those decisions that others leave to fate or are too weak to make, admit or commit to. You should be willing to drag yourself across the field of broken glass while bearing every deep painful cut to reach the end, only to get up dust yourself and realize that beneath all your weaknesses you were forging an Iron Man and you’re inspiring.

Hahaha, this is why we laugh at the MBAs. How on earth did you get a multiple-choice CAPM question wrong? I'll think of this blog next time I'm grading a huge heap of papers :P
Well I didn't study at all which was, jokes apart, really foolish of me. Won't sustain this casual attitude for long given that I've taken an education loan to fund my education.
I'm grading a huge heap of papers. Are you a teacher?

PhD student :)
Nice ^_^. What is your area of specialization? And is it true that after your PhD you'll be given the title of a 'Doctor'?
Edit: Read your blogs and seeing the research done, you definitely are right doing the PhD :P Well done.

>Have consistently got C
>Have consistently not understood a single concept in the Finance and Statistics lectures.
>0/40 in the Finance mid-term exams
You know the problem is that you expect to learn something in class without actually studying. You should study these things at home, I mean, read a book or something, and prepare for your exams. Don't expect to acquire knowledge by simply attending lectures. It's pathetic.

Exactly, if you put in the work you will get the marks...
i have to agree with you
>Have consistently not understood a single concept in the Finance and Statistics lectures.
remember, they dont give a single f*ck about you,at least most of professors... while you dont understand and think it is not really your problem and you dont understand just becuase of the professor not explaning so clearly as you wanted, well thats your problem... they still will get their money, and still not giving a crap about you... you always should just go to lectures,to right down what you will have to study, and by their voice understand what is more important to learn at home,at least i always had problems like you,and im still in school... where teachers doesnt explain so clearly as i wanted,so i have to learn almost everything at home

nice read .
You need to put more work into your studies, else you will end up being a toilet cleaner and going down a caste in your culture.
I understand the first part of your sentence and agree with it, but reading the second part forces me to give you a piece of real hard intellectual advice - PLEASE GET OUT OF YOUR HOME, GO TO THE NEAREST LIBRARY AND READ ABOUT INDIA, THE CASTE SYSTEM in medieval India and the CASTE SYSTEM NOW. And do not use the internet. For someone like you, it'll be most beneficial if you see the tangible text and pictures.
Okay, I read a book. It was very interesting and I learned a few things. Firstly, Indian people are obsessed with cows and worship them as gods. They are very cool animals in India.
It has a really interesting thing about Devadasi who are women and girls who have sex for money to worship a god called Yellamma. Apparently this happens very often with girls of lower castes.
I also read that Indian people absolutely hate Pakistan and that most of India wants to murder the Pakistani population.
There was also something about how India has one of the most corrupt governments on earth and that 40% of Indians had first-hand experience of paying bribes or using a contact to gain a job in a public office. It also has one of the worst Corruption Perception Index scores of any country.
I read a sad bit in the book about how a third of India's population lives in poverty. That was not a nice thing to read at all. India also has the largest illiterate population on the planet.
The book also had some interesting things about Indian food that seemed very interesting and cool. I am going to try some today!
I'm going to read more books about other cultures around the world.

gully bro, I'd Iike to teII you
something about India...
Here when we greet one another,
we foId our hands in namastey...
because we beIieve...
that God resides in the heart
of every human being.
We come from a nation where we aIIow
a lady of CathoIic origin...
to step aside for a Sikh
to be sworn in as Prime Minister...
to a MusIim President to govern
a nation of over 80 percent Hindus.
It may aIso interest you
to know that...
many of the origins to your words
come from Sanskrit.
For exampIe,
maatr becomes mother...
bhratr becomes brother,
giamiti becomes geometry
trikonniti becomes trigonometry.
We have 5600 newspapers...
magazines in over twenty-one
different Ianguages...
with a combined readership
of over 120 miIIion.
We have reached the moon and back,
but yet...
you people still feel that we've onIy
reached as far as the Indian rope trick
We are the third largest pool in the word
of doctors, engineers
and scientists.
Maybe your grandfather
didn't teII you that...
we have the third Iargest army
in the worId.
And even then, I foId my hands
in humiIity before you...
because we don't beIieve we are
above or beneath any individuaI.

Those are all very impressive points, OwNaGeR. But you seem to have completely failed to bring up any of the points that I made in the post above. Why is that? Because there is nothing you can say to defend those atrocities? Would you like to address them now?
hope u remember me... hmmm if no, meet me in a server of 1.6, and dnt say tht u play source so u lost touch to 1.6 and all that
