HLTV Overlay by JoceL - 1024x768 and 800x600 resolution

Hi budies, this is my first Overlay, I made a new Spectator Layout and adjust Health Bars settings. 1024x768 and 800x600 resolution

This Overlay only func in HLTV MOD.

Before anything you should copy your Spectator.res inside cstrike/resource/UI folder to your desktop because after you stream/viewdemo you can replace your old spectator menu to play and see all stats like score, time, etc.


1 - Copy Winject 1.7a folder to Desktop or to other folder you want.

2 - Copy and substitute dj and cstrike folders to your counter strike folder:

C:/Programmes Files/Steam/steamapps/your_account/counter-strike

3 - Open Counter strike, change resolution to 1024x768 or 800x600, connect to a HLTV IP or HLTV DEMO

4 - When you're inside the server, open Winject.exe:

--In the Target Process search for hl.exe

--In the DLL to Inject go to your dj folder and choose joneshud.dll and press Inject (+)

C:/Programmes Files/Steam/steamapps/your_account/counter-strike/dj

5 - A message should appear on Winject and in your cs console, now go to your console and write:

exec 1024.cfg

or

exec 800.cfg

6 - To configure the team names and flags just type dj_help in console and you will get some extra commands ;)


Some commands:

dj_team_1_name [Left_Team_Name_On_Scorebar] |ex: dj_set_team_1_name fnatic.MSi|
dj_team_2_name [Right_Team_Name_On_Scorebar] |ex: dj_set_team_2_name Na'Vi|
dj_set_team_1_flag flags/[Country_Of_Team_On_Left].png |ex: dj_set_team_1_flag flags/Sweden.png|
dj_set_team_2_flag flags/[Country_Of_Team_On_Right].png |ex: dj_set_team_2_flag flags/Ukraine.png|
dj_team_1_score [Number_Of_Score_After_1st_Half]|ex: 9|
dj_team_2_score [Number_Of_Score_After_1st_Half]|ex: 6|
dj_swap - Swap names and scores of Scorebar (Type this after 1st Half or Knife Round when players swap team)
dj_reload - reload settings after change something (type dj_reload always you change names and scores)
dj_strip_tag [TAG] - hide some tag only in healthbars |ex: dj_strip_tag fnatic.MSi||ex: dj_strip_tag <3
dj_connect [HLTV_IP] - same thing as connect IP but is the only way to connect after inject joneshud.dll
dj_help - show you all the commands

Type hud_saytext_time 0 to chat disappear

You can adjust health bars positions and names and scores positions by your self..

type dj_help and you have a lot of commands.

after you like it just type again dj_help and copy all commands (the commands will be like you adjust them) and paste them in a new config on cstrike (640.cfg)

No problem, just go to your Spectator.res and look for TopBarr.
Make visible "0" and enable "0"

Now go to your 1024.cfg and look for dj_draw_topbar 1 and set to 0

Now you should have only the Following bar ;)

FUck, i think the reason why in your stream the healthbars were a little pixelated was because healthbars was realized for the 1024x768 resolution, and when you use it on 800x600, it zoom and pixelate, i think so, but anyway, you should cast with hq, or is only for premium? i dont remember

Humm, these zeros is for you put the score after 1st half (to remember) but if you don't like it you can write on console:

dj_clanscore_font_size "0" (i dont try it, just saying that could work for hiding these zeros)

or if dont work you con write:

dj_team_1_clanscore_xpos "9999"
dj_team_2_clanscore_xpos "9999"

if you have a steam...just make a copy of your counter-strike folder and rename it counter-strike2 let's say....then install the overlay in the folder...depending on the your need you change the name

After lets say, you play an HLTV demo and it shows the admin of the game in the terrorist team overlay and not the fifth player of the team as it is supposed to be. How do you fix that?

That bug is from hltv side i think, but try to type dj_reload when the fifth guy shows up.

more specifically in the demo of Anexis vs eSrael.msi for the BECSL II on de_inferno. Well it still registers him as a Terrorist 4th from top.

Also my native resolution is in 800*600. First time I run your overlay I used the "800*600" folder. It had a weird top bar with the timer being outside my screen and I could only see the bottom pixels at the top left corner. I thought that might be because my screen is wide(samsung 233rz) but everything works decent in 1024 apart from that bug I'm telling u.

A possible fix from my point of view is to create a 6th health bar as if it was a 6v6 and then delete the "erroneous" health bar and re-arrange the health bars. Thing is I don't know how to code that. But I guess it could work. I'll try to watch the demo with dj_reload although i think i tried that already.

ok dj_reload does not work because : 1) the admin joins the game prior to knife round and actually plays a round then joins spectators. 2) after joining spectators the HLTV still shows the admin through left-clicking(+attack) with him always having a glock and 100hp.

So I guess the only fix to that issue is the way to add a 6th health bar for each team and use the proper one each time.

Don't stress about it though because this only happens when admins or spectators join the game prior to live. I have tried both with playdemo/viewdemo and it can't be solved either way.

I have also gone through the commands and none of which is helpful to that issue.

Overall its a great overlay and this problem is way too specific to even bother adding a 6th health bar to fix it. Tuscan demo worked fine

Can you please do one for 1280x720? The one I'm using at the moment has the black bar at the top with flags and team names appearing behind it.

I want them to show up in the front. Also, the health bars are smaller due to which, sponsor names have to be removed using dj_strip_tag. Despite having CSP text installed in the windows fonts, the text on the health bars is not bold.

I'm using the one created by D1ckJ0nes (CSP+Overlay).

I cant see any of dj_ commands in my console bar.
I made a dedicated server, setup a hltv for it and joined the hltv port 27020, after inject (+) i cant see any kind of dj_ commands in console. Help please
