CSS failed numbers
2012-04-08 05:58
CSS CPH games grand final is live at this moment.
There is no sourceTV, only this official stream, with ReDeYE casting.

http://i44.tinypic.com/2zsw47c.jpg

Thats right, thats the number for CSS.
2.000 viewers.

I dont think I need to post the 1.6 numbers right?
We all saw 1.6 reaching 20k + in CPH grand final.

Funny how people in cadred published something about 1.6 dying, but NOTHING about CSS dying? Biased much? What about that idiot Lewis publishing that fnatic should drop 1.6, and now fnatic tops a major lan? I guess this should be enough for everybody to see how wrong, ignorant and biased a butthurted sAucer can be.

Have a good day!
My god such horrid low numbers... No one care about broken source, only a few tards wasting their lifes in a dead game. Even angry birds would have more viewers. And about Richard Lewis, he is a cunt, just ignore him... Fnatic should drop 1.6? Lol, what a retard, did he really published such bullshit? If so he knows nothing about CS.

he knows nothing but still he expands his crappy website to more games like sc2, lol, csgo, etc, etc. such a failure.

we had more than 20k specs in the matches before the finals due to the more options to watch the games. I counted 22K in streams only, I dunno how many were in the HLTVs.

bad decition to close the HLTVs for the 2 final matches IMHO, they could've reached 30 or 40K easily with more options in streaming, the ukranian and russian streams had a lot of people.

CS:S is a joke as usual, but good post, it's good to put em in their place, we should do that more often :)

PS: don't let your hw alone in events where CS:S is featured, you might lose it.

Sourcers were humiliated again... Deserved.
Hey Dumpster, feels good bru?
2012-04-08 06:13:55
1.6 is dying/losing popularity; you can not deny that. However, in my opinion, I don't really think source was ever "alive" to begin with.

lets make 3 threads a week stating how dead css is to make ourselves feel better about the lack of 1.6 competitions on the horizon
2012-04-08 06:15:36
I don't think is about that, Saucers keep coming here to bash our game, something that makes us angry and keep repeating the "cs 1.6 is dying" nonsense that has been around since 2005.
2012-04-08 06:20:23
O_o

Conspiracy!
2012-04-08 06:22:29
Yeah man really the source players coming here bashing 1.6, its these kind of threads that make the source players want to comment on the current state of 1.6, they are 2 different games i dont understand why both community's dont just leave each other alone, if you dont like the other game stfu no one gives a shit about your crappy opinion.
2012-04-08 06:32:46
sAuces low numbers are being exposed... And you are MAD.
Thats what I got from your post.

Bye.
2012-04-08 06:35:34
Source numbers lower than 1.6, its been like that for a very long time anyone who disagrees is stupid why would i be mad over a simple fact like that ?
2012-04-08 06:45:10
good to hear you know your place :)
2012-04-08 06:48:44
um ok, good to know that your community has higher numbers than mine what is the saying? "quality not quantity" yeah that about sums it up :)

peace.
2012-04-08 06:49:52
Yeah, no quality in our community, thats why 1.6ers raped Saucers in CS:GO, including the top2 sauce team in the event LOL.

Give me another excuse for that failure, you saucers are good in that:)
2012-04-08 06:54:11
been around since 2000* actually.
2012-04-08 08:56:15
LOL LOOK AT THE TIME FUCKIN HATER.
2012-04-08 06:16:26
don't cry :(

1.6 is better , just assume it .
2012-04-08 07:05:40
LOL DRY YOUR TEARS FUCKIN CRYBABY
2012-04-08 07:42:24
CSS is shit and dead.
2012-04-08 06:18:09
Fact is both games are getting less players, less tournaments, less organizations and community isn't growing anymore.
2012-04-08 06:18:51
css highest number were 6k but not on final

final highest was 2.5k but that was at 6am rofl
2012-04-08 06:21:03
1.6 reached 25~28k in CPH, thats a huge huge difference... And 1.6 reached 70k last month in IEM...

Source is just a massive fail, even TF2 has more viewers in their leagues.
2012-04-08 06:26:06
Lol, what a fail source is.
1.6 has 10x more viewers.

People still wasre their lifes in sAuce, LOL
2012-04-08 06:22:11
And you still waste your life on a 10 year old game that you will never be good at and that is dying.

peace.
2012-04-08 06:33:41
incorrect, I dont even play the game, I just watch some stream here and there. MAD because 1.6 humiliared sAuce once again bru?
2012-04-08 06:37:19
rattlesnake, all i have to say is, overrated! f0rest destroyed him in the semis on csgo haha.
2012-04-08 06:40:53
Yeah man hahah he owned him on that game in beta that all the players were really really wanting to win and not just have fun with a new game that is incomplete.

haha owned!!!
2012-04-08 06:44:29
that game is way more CSS like than 1.6 like, and 1.6ers raped sAucers. Funny shitty :)
2012-04-08 06:50:41

Never played CSS never will. 1.6 4 life.
2012-04-08 06:34:54
does it make you feel better?? u're just doing the same of the trolls, saying their game is dead while there are still people playing.

You are just showing you're nothing more than a kid.

Fuck Lewis, who cares about him?
2012-04-08 06:40:07
I used to play CSS, but then I switched to 1.6 and never looked back.
CSS is just broken and boring... 1.6 is the only competitive CS
2012-04-08 06:40:35
CSS is a joke... Way more deaded than 1.6, its a fact.
2012-04-08 06:56:08
Based on my experience playing both games
Source players tend to be not as good(before competitive level) but friendly

Average 1.6 players are a lot better but EXTREMELY fucking childish.

I've played 1.6 since 2006 and prefer it way more to Source just to clarify, can't stand how they went about making CSS.

Indeed. I have noticed exactly same thing in both Finnish cs scenes. Dunno why its that way tho.
2012-04-08 12:05:05
Neither do I man, I think it's because 1.6 attracts people who are primarily interested in game balance and competitive viability so naturally it attracts more competitive people.

I know that's the reason why I play 1.6 over source :)
2012-04-09 08:03:14
1.6 just humiliates source everytime... I bet they MAD ;)

btw, source died long time ago.
2012-04-08 07:35:47
Honestly CSS is bullshit and that game was never live on PG scence
2012-04-08 07:41:23
Great blog, its nice to expose the failure source is. I bet sponsors are aware of it, and probably wont host anymore shit css events, I mean, what is the point for the sponsor? To advertise for 2K people? LOL

1.6 is the only Counter Strike.
2012-04-08 07:50:53

I was watching 1.6 mainly but did have the CSS stream and cadred bracket open at times.

The css tournament had sensational attendance with teams from Brazil and the US. It seemed like there was some interesting results similar to the 1.6 tournament.

No reason to get upset.

this guy knows. :)
2012-04-08 12:33:11
I dont think the poster was upset about anything.

If we would have had teams from Asia and (good) teams from America's (semXorah doesnt count) attending, IM SURE(!) there would have been at least double the viewers.

In my opinion its just sad that organisations still want to send their teams to play from all over the world if only 2000 people watch them play. Not very media-sexy.
2012-04-08 12:46:34
"In my opinion its just sad that organisations still want to send their teams to play from all over the world if only 2000 people watch them play. Not very media-sexy."

Obviously have money to burn bro.
2012-04-08 12:59:55
Source died 2 years ago so what's the point comparing it to 1.6? CS1.6 is the only FPS game in eSports. Support 1.6 or left FPS.

- Also i think Copenhagen games should put more money to 1.6 for next event. They should cut price money for CSS or drop. Sponsors are everything and i don't think sponsors were happy to put 20.000€ for 2.000 People. It'snot fair. They should put 200.000€ for 20.000 viewers!

Why the fuck would they drop source when source has been raping 1.6 in attendees at every single danish LAN event the last year?
2012-04-09 18:11:41
CSS got 2.000 viewers CS 1.6 had 20.000+ viewers? OK. They should drop 1.6 for next event :) LOL
2012-04-09 18:40:55
ATTENDEES as in team signing up. Thats where they get all their money, not from spectators. And css is bigger than 1.6 in DK atm
2012-04-09 21:50:57
Ahahahaha and another thread by stupid 1.6 comunity. And again u proves that ur the stupid side.

Ask someone from sc2 or moba what they will think about 1.6 comunity. Cos u guys are getting so fucking known as the biggest twats ever.
2012-04-08 10:05:34
dude css has never been alive^^
2012-04-08 10:08:45
cs 1.6 > css but yesterday at same time was LoL tournament stream and there were 110k viewers while cph games final watched 14k, so think about it :)
2012-04-08 11:23:58
cs reached more than 14k due to the Russian and Ukrainian streams. I thought it was more like 25k-30k viewers when I looked
2012-04-08 11:56:07
Also as there was no open HLTV, some people would have not watched the streams who would have watched the HLTV, (non english/russian speaking people + poor internet connections).
2012-04-08 11:57:54
Richard BlewHis is a cunt. Period.

Just goto cadred and see how many times they post news about 1.6 fail (IGC tourney). They were proactive in posting news and that too about 2 times how the IGC sucks, and that article was posted by Richard BlewHis himself. But, now when its happening, they didnt follow it up. There intention is just to show 1.6 failing at touneys.

They havnt even posted the news about fnatic winning CPH 1.6 tourney. Fking biased cunts. And they talk how mature their website is. FUCK YOU cadred. :)
2012-04-08 12:02:11
lol... considering the CSS Final finished at 5am (ish) in the morning, and Rich had probably been up for around 20+ hours, do you blame the guy?

Plus, IGC hasn't even been covered by HLTV. Moron.

The fact that he interviewed a CS Great doesn't come to your mind, and the coverage they pumped out for CS, CSS & 1.6 this weekend alone just goes to show.

Idiot.
2012-04-08 12:32:22
Ohh, sorry didnt knew that cadred is a poor website which has just 1 reporter. AWWWWWWWW. :'(
2012-04-08 12:43:29
Yeh they have 1 reporter... covering umpteen games.... :| sigh.
2012-04-08 12:55:38
@_@
Sad, but i have seen some guy: Rickeh also reporting some news. :-s
2012-04-08 13:22:41
yeh it's pretty sad.

Ive seen Jeff_Kim,KwijLBEAST, cellzki, and r0b1 report news, your point?
2012-04-08 13:33:12
Anyone of them should have followed up with the news.
2012-04-08 13:41:11
"And not to mention drama. We're all drained in the press room. Some of the videos might have to wait and we're going to stay awake as long as we can before catching flights become a brutal reality. However, for some of the coverage you might have to accept we're human and understand we need to get some sleep, especially with other events looming round the corner."
2012-04-08 13:45:11
I see 2 news articles. Do you think not reporting (like here) about it is better than reporting it? There has been more negative vibes from people posting in threads than there has been on cadred.

They had the 1.6 matches on the side of their page. They had their own tournament which was just as big as the 1.6 tournament.

HLTV has very rarely, if ever, had CSS news. HLTV does a good job covering 1.6, why would cadred compete?
2012-04-08 14:15:29
Well, cuz they do cover 1.6. If you are covering a game or event, you should cover it in the best possible way. Thats professionalism. Isnt it?

1.6 tourney got completed much earlier than CSS, but nothing was posted there.

But like #84 said, so i have nothing to say further.
2012-04-08 14:27:07
Yes what #84 said.

1.6 is not their focus. They have just posted a news article now.

2012-04-08 15:18:03
CSS wont live much longer, alot of css players will move on to cs:go or promod by the time. and the css scene is almost dead, what good teams are there? last night after i watched fnatic vs navi final, peeked on the css tournament. man it was boring (not to mention the commentators).. it was around 1,6k spectators, comparing with cs 1.6 which had over 16k.
2012-04-08 12:24:17
lol.

Boring, the final went into two maps, and 2 overtimes. Hardly what I call boring at 5am in the morning for the players after 20 + hours of playing straight.
2012-04-08 12:29:26
yeah well it didn't have alot of spectators, atleast at midnight, and probably much less at 5 am.

tldr?
2012-04-08 12:50:49
League of Legends and Call of Duty have 1 million people playing at a given time - should we be playing and supporting that?

I know a very small percentage use xfire but I'm not sure where to get similar stats. Look at how COD, WOW and LOL rank compared to CS/CSS: http://beta.xfire.com/games & http://www.xfire.com/cms/stats/ - much higher.
2012-04-08 14:27:20
CSS has less spectators, but comparing both CPH Games finals is just wrong as the CSS final ended at 6 AM. How many people you want at that hour?
2012-04-08 12:56:39
6AM local time bro. It wast 6AM for the whole world.
2012-04-08 13:24:00
Well, most of CSS fans are from europe (some others from USA, which have another time zone, but definitely better to watch the game than the european zone).
2012-04-08 13:50:34
we southamericans wake up 3am to watch european 1.6 matches. bitch please.

1.6 Strong :) Especially after IEM
2012-04-08 14:32:24
regardless of the viewers source had one hell of a tournament. just so fucking close and epic games and truely first time i've had a pleasure to enjoy css. redeye casting made it just too perfect :)

and also we had only 15k on the stream on final, which is pretty pathetic compared that we had like 70k just a while ago. basically 85% of spectators disappeared on just few months? if thats not dying what is? IEM will draw good numbers with any games, they dont need 1.6 for that and thats also the last time you'll ever see such numbers for 1.6.
2012-04-08 14:41:41
I don't get why sponsors seeing the numbers of viewers on iem and at CPH games, till the final game we easily could reach 30k-40k viewers(stream+hltv) still drops cs for other shitty game..nonsense
Just immagine 70k attendence is like a champions final in football...!
2012-04-08 15:12:35
no it's not, a champions final in football is more or less 1 billion viewers...
2012-04-09 18:28:21
man i mean only the stadion, not people who watch tv..=)
2012-04-09 20:44:28
If 70k attend IEM7, its like CL.
2012-04-09 18:54:09
cadred? not, retarted
2012-04-08 15:15:16
The CSS-tourney was actually pretty decent imo. No point in bashing a game that lies down with a broken back.
2012-04-08 15:29:53

easy broken game for kids
2012-04-09 17:57:00
i don't understand you guys... i play 1.6 and css, and i can't understand... cs 1.6 are the most popular played game in universe, but are losing popularity.

css isn't good anymore, just in alot of years ago, with warden,frod... the old col, carolinacore, optx, and others.. today is a newbie game.

but i can't understand this forced fight CS 1.6 vs CSS. LOOSERS.
2012-04-09 18:02:12
To be fair, the Source final was played very late, and people was sleeping at that time. And there was still a full crowd infront of the stage.

But yeah, 2k viewers is a dissapointment for sure.
2012-04-09 18:31:01
one match of CS 1.6 at any time of the day, could reach more than 2k viewers only in brazil...
2012-04-09 20:46:25
The League of Legends grand final yesterday had 200k viewers, just saying ^^
2012-04-09 18:56:18
Why the fuck do you compare CSS with 1.6. Everyone knows that 1.6 is bigger, no need to worry about hat. Just saying..
2012-04-09 21:53:07
CSS died a long time ago.
2012-06-15 18:00:09
We should feel bad that both games are slowly declining. Not act out in a way that hates on source. Just to clarify I hate source in terms of game play, but how do you think they felt when their game declined before ours? Just as bad as we feel noe that 1.6 is on a very steady decline. Its not something we should discuss as if you like one game more than another why should that make you angry? I feel bad that their game went down the tubes quicker than ours, but let's just leave it at that. No reason to bash a game that no longer poses any threat to ours. Just childish.
2012-06-15 18:12:00
