- Hey guys! my name is Alexander known as "Legacycore" on HLTV (cocun9)
im here to tell about my little project and what its about.
- The Concept of this group is to make CS stay alive we all know Counter Strike 1.6 = BEST gaming community, it started with a post from "SeeR" who said he was looking for someone to play with, people commented "i wish the whole world could play together" thats when i said to my self then lets all play together, i started making a group on steam that has over 280 members now, when i saw people where joining every minute i was like let me just buy a teamspeak server
with 100slots, i went to bed. Next morning i was surprised the group went from 30 members to 200 members thats when i found out this could get big if it would work, people wanted me to make a IRC and i made it
ASAP!, it was my first time ever making a channel on IRC so i was lucky i found some people who knew the basics "NortproN" finally people came in on the IRC about 10 people at the time now some guys from T00 HAXX (TH) came in and offered to make a "Gather bot" for me, thats when things started as soon as the bot was up and running people came in 142 people on the irc! more then 5 games where going on, at same time i was stunned, then Pus, Scyp, alex joined the IRC i think they all like this idea about global gathers when HLTV staff came in i was like ":O", not done yet in comes the fine lady "HellRose" what a nice nick name *smile* i felt i was having something big at this moment.

Mixes/Gathers!
- today there have been many matches hltv.org users vs other hltv.org users, we all had fun playing people from US, Serbia, France, Albania, Iceland, Finland, Denmark, Pakistan and many more there was ping diffrence but not enough to stop us from having fun.
- Also we tryed to locate server in germany/france so its centered so every one has a fairly good ping.

i will it was a rush thing at first so many things that are more important like gather bot on irc and server teamspeak but when i got time i will change it 100%

This seemed like a fun thing, then i joined the irc channel and one of the op's was trolling.
Can someone explain step to step how to join gathers i never play so i dont know how ? I downloaded TS3 ?
you open irc, then Quakenet>ADD>HLTVGLOBALMIX then when gather_bot says game going on need (10) players you type in .sign with "." when it has signed in 10 players it will either make 2 captains where you shift to choose players or genrates a team automaticly then you go teamspeak and gather up ure team in the gather room and then server will be provided then join and play hf :)

Easy Tony, its day one we need time this is in beta we just finished setting gatherbot up and talking with other organizations, we want to see if we can get servers sponsored, and these gathers going on are just for fun nothing serious, ure taking this far to serious but join our facebook page and you will be notified when there are servers with EAC on

I played one today on server with EAC it was great. Whole team knew English and nobody was shy to talk. Atmosphere was friendly. Definitaly going to play more when I get more time to play :)

so far so good just finished playing a game there today and it was fun people are generally friendly and nice and that doesnt happen much often with them various cs communities these days
it aint big in any way plain and simple id say but at the end of a day it just feels somehow better than fancy and uber-sophisticated gather-network i mean its the people who made these gathers for you not the system right
my personal suggestion would be to add some moar cool maps like de_lite or de_prodigy or maybe even some real obscure ones like these on here http://www.vaginatown.org/forumdisplay.php?f=7 you know from different time periods and leagues across globe pugs i think are all about trying and experiencing something new you know positions spots spams different moves so why not the maps xD
