WARNING: THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT DISCUSSING THE FUTURE OF CS, IT IS ABOUT DISCUSSING WHO YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE IN THE FINAL OF GAMEGUNE AND WHY.

Well guys I really hate to say it but it looks like GameGune will be one of the last big tournaments we will be seeing... for awhile. Who knows what teams will stick around afterwards. Assuming the major teams get their invites (currently not listed) and assuming what I have said is true.. if this were to be the last "big" final ever - who would you want to see.

For me: SK vs ESC


SK - the experience and veterans of the international scene is pretty much unmatched by SK with the exception of ESC. The new fnatic team is obviously a super power but they simply don't have the history. Whether you agree or not, f0rest evolved this game and took it to a new level. Several players have came out and said he is the #1 player in the world. While he is not currently the best, i would say it is hard to find someone who dominated the scene as much as he did and as long as he did. Additionally, Robban and face have been holding it down on the international scene forever. On top of that players like delpan and GTR are just shocking to watch in form, their aim just gives me chills sometimes.

ESC - again, whether or not you agree with me you have to admire the golden five. They have been around the scene forever, and like the players of SK, have experienced all the ups and downs of the international scene. If i were to pick one more landmark team, it would be ESC. They have magnificent teamwork and are the only team that gives me a glimpse of the past: mTw. If there is one thing I have learned from all these years it is that nobody hates on mTw... they were just the embodiment of awesomeness (so much fun to watch). It is only appropriate to mention neo, who like f0rest completely dominated the game. There are moments when he is truly a one man army. Fact: Neo is capable of making any team look like complete noobs. ANY TEAM.

anyways this is a blog and I invite you guys to agree with me or not disagree. But with all the tournaments dropping cs, it seems like the scene will be in a dry spell for awhile after this. Give it some thought. Explain why you think your team should be in, and more importantly explain why you think their opponent should be in the final.

Honorable mentions

Fnatic - they are young and obviously hungry. I can't wait to see them with trace and I definitely want to see trace and moddii in action together. SICK!
