Interview with friberg
2012-08-10 16:10
Hello guys! All you know that Ninjas in Pyjamas is back with CS:GO roster, and today I'm very happy to introduce you an interview with one of NiP players Adam "friberg" Friberg!

Hello, Adam! Firstly, I want to congratulate you on your entering legendary team Ninjas in Pyjamas! What are you feeling now being a part of NiP?

- Hey there! Of course I find it very exciting, NiP is a big name within eSports so it's a big honor to represent them!

You were playing Counter-Strike: Source for a long time before this day. What teams had you been representing, what titles have you won and why NiP chosen you, not another player?

- Yes, I've been playing CS:Source competitivly since 2008. I've been playing for teams like H2k-Gaming, Blight, 30P-Gaming, FRAGMASTERS TOXIC and Heat-Gaming. Around 2010 my game developed a lot and I became one of the best players in Sweden and since then I've been going around to diffrent top events in Europe with various teams. I think NiP picked me up because of my ability to frag, and as CS:GO is more like CS:Source then 1.6 I've had a bit of advantage with the enviorment of the game.

Ninjas in Pyjamas is seemed to be a partner with ZOWIE company, is it truth or only rumor?

- NiP will announce all our sponsors in the next few days, so stay tuned over at our facebook page & website (https://www.facebook.com/NipGaming and www.nip-gaming.se)

How are you feel playing side-by-side with two legendary CS 1.6 players f0rest and GeT_RiGhT and one of the best ingame leaders in the 1.6 community Xizt?

- It's great having all these players around you when you play, they are all cool guys both in-game and outside of the game.

As I noticed above, Xizt was an amazing leader while playing Counter-Strike 1.6. Will he lead Ninjas in Pyjamas or this role is went to you or another player?

- Xizt will not be our in-game leader, as we have Fifflaren that's been a in-game leader for over 6 years in CS:Source. I'm sure Xizt will be there to back him up, more then the others, if necessary =)

There is no announcements from big events' organizers, excepting ESWC and ESEA (not european). Are you planning to visit champ in Paris and Which plans in genera ldo your team have now?

- At the moment there's not a lot of tournaments announced it, but we will make sure to attend as many events as possible and we are already aiming towards ESWC in Paris.

So, I wish you and your team good luck in future and hope to see Ninjas in Pyjamas back to top positions like in 2007! Any last words to you fans and community?

- Thank you! Stay tuned over at our facebook page and website for more info about sponsors etc in the next few days!
thanks for the iview... really sad, what xizt made to fnatic... i know xizt was in many teams before fnatic but i think fnatic made that xizt, that we know today

Have you read his statement? Stop talking shits about him... Xizt isnt ungrateful. He played for fnatic, they gave him a lot, he bring them titles together with the other players. Since he doesnt see any future for cs 1.6 (which is 100% right, and you must be crazy and very childish to think its not true) and he got his chance to play a new game that he actually LIKES a lot with 2 of the best CS players and CS Sorce players.. Can you GIVE ME ATLEAST 1 REASON that he has to stay and play for 1.6? Just because some of you guys think that CS 1.6 is still alive, lol.

I mean, you guys have to respect him and his decision.. you cant talk shits just because he is switching a game. Would have been worse if he quit eSports. Im sure after some time most of you that talk shits now will start playing cs:go and you will understand that you were not right. And even if you dont start playing cs:go, there are a lot of players that are doing it and the community will become bigger and bigger. There are CS:GO cups every week and tournaments are coming..

¨My time in Fnatic can't be described as anything else than great. I have played in Fnatic for over one and a half years and I am very happy and proud of what we accomplished, even though we had our rough patches, we still had a lot of fun and in the end we came out strong. I heard a lots of rumors about Fnatic before I joined that it’s the best organization and you will always be treated good and I can really say that Fnatic is one of the best when it comes to eSport. I have never had any troubles when playing in Fnatic, they have all been very helpful towards me and I have only good things to say. It's now time for me to move on with my career as a professional gamer and say good bye to CS 1.6 and Fnatic. It's very sad for me to leave CS 1.6 but since all the major events now have dropped it I feel like this is the best step for me to take. I will still keep playing 1.6, but not on a professional level. I would like to say a big thanks to the Fnatic management for believing in me and letting me represent the Black and Orange colors for such a long time: Anne, Sam, Neil, Danjiel, Matthew and Alexander. I played with a lot of different players in Fnatic and I would like to thank everyone, it's been a blast, especially to cArn and dsn for picking me up in 2010/2011 who made all of it possible. I wish the best of luck to the current Fnatic CS team, I am confident they will find a suitable replacement for me and continue their dominance. Lastly, I would like to thank all the Fnatic fans out there, you are awesome! See you around!¨ - Xizt

p.s. there are so many GOOD players back in the days that quit CS and start playing poker or just doing smth else.. and u didnt talk shits about them. QUITING A TEAM OR A GAME IS OK, no matter for what reason it is. Its a personal decision.

sorry but i readed the whole blog.
and im too lazy to read your wall of text
i just readed the first few phrases, the thing is that instead of staying with fnatic, play all the tournaments of this year of 1.6 and see what fnatic thinks about cs:go.. he just goes into another team ,im pretty sure fnatic will have cs:go team, and i hope it will dominate the scene.

anyway i kinda understand what he did but still i dont like what he did,i never liked those players that leave a team to join another if in the team where are they, everything is okey...
i started to dislike f0rest and gtr after they left fnatic.
2012-08-10 18:42:39
Just stop..
2012-08-10 19:00:53
good..couse if you readed , you deaded!
2012-08-13 10:40:00
deaded? seriously?
2012-08-13 11:44:34
and you dint notice readed?? :facepalm
2012-08-16 06:38:53
Well, it is not about switching on CS:GO, it is about leaving fnatic. I don't say that Xizt is a bad boy now, but cmon... I am sure that fnatic will build some CS:GO team in near future and it looks sad that he droped them after all what fnatic did for him.

2012-08-10 20:45:55
well i do rly think that making a team with f0rest and gtr is a better than any other option.
2012-08-10 21:15:35
they could put u in as a 6th, ? :D? i think that's the better option
2012-08-14 21:46:13
If the organization fnatic really feels like continuing with a CS 1.6. section I am pretty sure she will find an adequate replacement and won't have any hard feelings towards Xizt.

2012-08-10 21:53:11
thing is he want to play cs:go already to have some advantage against other teams and he got the opportunity to play with probably the best cs:go team, why not choose it? fnatic might go over to cs:go aswell but im quite sure that the team will be a newformed with 3-4 new players.
2012-08-12 18:44:36
havent seen u for ages :D
2012-08-10 22:32:38
lol u realy bothered to wright all that :)
2012-08-10 23:26:17
So much words, when I was reading I felt how you were screaming, your mom tried to calm you but you were like "NO, I HAVE TO WRITE A BIG MESSAGE TO THIS GUY, BECAUSE IF I DON'T CHANGE HIS OPINION HE IS STUPID".

'Have you read his statement? Stop talking shits about him.'

Have you read the message? He didn't say a shit about Xizt. He just stated that Xizt became in fnatic a pro-player, therefore fnatic was the reason of Xizt's achievements today. He didn't say Xizt is ungrateful or stuff.

Basically you just writhed in hysterics because of almost nothing.

What do you expect? She's Mrs. Landström.
2012-08-11 09:36:07
basicly ur just defending some1 from your country and basicly if u check all the threads about CS:GO there are many ppl flaming xizt

´´really sad, what xizt made to fnatic... i know xizt was in many teams before fnatic but i think fnatic made that xizt, that we know today´´
learn to read between the lines, its obvious what he meant..
2012-08-11 12:47:03
No, I actually hate this Nzr0 guy, he writes so much unnecessary stuff and he feels like when lurppis writes his opinion. I just said that you're trying to change someone's opinion when you don't need to.

Just to recap: I'm not saying Xizt is a moron because he left 1.6, I understand his move, the time will show who was right and who wasn't. But it's definitely not the case when you have to panic in a over9000 symbols message to a random guy, because "he is saying stupid things.

Xizt not even IGL? Anyway, good luck guys.
2012-08-10 16:59:22
I'm liking that though.
Xizt didn't get that much experience as an IGL in 1.6 (allthough he did very well), and he's a really good fragger so let him do that instead.
2012-08-10 18:09:21
Yeah, he did well. But as stated in the inteview the CSS player has more exp. in calling. Probably the best for them.

In the end, just before cArn quit, Xizt´s fragging was mediocre I must say.
But I guess GTR and f0rp know what they are doing. Its a whole new game anyway.
2012-08-10 18:59:42
I'm not trying to call Xizt a bad IGL in any way, but as many professional players have said, even some from fnatic, is that they rely a lot more on aim, and very few tactics, so basically Xizt only told them where to go and stuff (and probably a lot more also) but what I mean is; they rely more on raw skill then tactics :P But i'm sure he would have been a GREAT IGL even if he had a different team (a less skilled one) ;)
2012-08-11 15:44:24
It's hard to lead in a game you barely know...the mechanics aren't the same, the ways of playing aren't the same. CS:GO will be a much more fast-paced game as you can't walk and jump, you can't spam and you can't crouch peek. All you got to do is run-walk and shoot! what a competitive game ;)
2012-08-12 17:52:50
GL in next events which doesn't exists :D
2012-08-10 17:06:09

2012-08-10 17:11:01
CS:GO cups and tournaments are coming..
2012-08-10 18:21:36
lol. Every fps game have that kinda tournaments. It'snot making any difference
2012-08-10 18:24:15
then whats the problem?
2012-08-10 18:37:10
why you're replying by saying that?
2012-08-13 16:54:16
lold knk
2012-08-10 18:51:20
Same for 1.6 currently, so your point is?
2012-08-12 17:28:36
Same for 1.6? lol
2012-08-13 16:54:36
No IEM, No WCG, No GameGune, No DreamHack, No big tournaments.... so yeah, my statement stands correct.

Although, I could point out todays announcement from DreamHack as the first proper "big" tournament for CS:GO.
2012-08-14 01:10:39
For cs 1.6. It's unknown. CS:GO can get 1512435 tournaments like CS:S. If CS1.6 dies completely it's because of 1.6's popularity.
Let's see how long CS:GO will stay. CSS was 4x better for me.
2012-08-14 09:36:52
So you have backtracked from your original statement and now questioning the staying power of CS:GO, the staying power of any game is questionable, the same can be said for games such as SC2 and LoL, they still have questionable issues of staying power, that's the eSports life cycle. If RIOT hadn't come in and backed LoL tournaments then the game would have evaporated quickly.

Valve won't do the same as they know tournaments like ESWC, IEM, WCG are all big tournaments to help CS:GO stay healthy.
2012-08-14 15:13:50
They're putting million dollars on lol because they're earning really good money. They'renot homeless people now. And it's unlikely to see that all of those tournaments will end suddenly.
2012-08-14 18:27:12
Short but interesting :)
2012-08-10 17:08:04
xizt will be the madfragger (like always=) )

2012-08-10 19:33:50
They are good but not THAT good, can see them getting kicked soon.
2012-08-10 19:55:09
They are probably the best sweden can offer, and they've also performed really well on the top international scene.
2012-08-11 17:48:45
friberg is pretty nifty, not sure what Fifflaren is like nowadays. He was pretty good during CGS days, if he can emulate that form, then he will be just as good as the 1.6 lads :D
2012-08-12 17:27:57
NiP's main AWP ? :D
