Pre-WCG
Hey everyone.
As I'm getting ready for the first day of WCG 2011, I thought I'd post a small pre-WCG blog, letting you guys know what I've been up to so far.
The journey to Busan
It all start Tuesday at 04AM CET, when I boarded a train to Copenhagen to reach the airport. From Copenhagen I went to Frankfurt, then to Beijing and finally reached Busan after more than 24 hours on the move.
Taking the bus from the airport to the city center, I met up with Joe Miller, who will be doing English commentary for QuadV here in Busan.
Reached the hotel, which is basically on the beach, sadly its winter in Busan, meaning no swimming in the sea, luckily theres a indoor pool.

Going out for dinner
After chilling a bit at the hotel, I met up with Nils (hellphyte) from readmore, we took a cab to Joe's hotel, where we would met up with him for dinner. It turned out to be quite hard to find a place. We basically wanted Korean BBQ, but without a local, its really hard to find the good place. We ended up in this "Italian" restaurant, food was decent, nothing more to add.
We were all pretty much exhausted, so after dinner we decided to return to our respective hotels, in order to recharge.
The first day in Busan
Woke up around 7AM, having slept a solid 12hours. I must say, its been a while since I've slept that good, falling asleep and waking up to the waves going to shore was so relaxing.
Started the day with two cups of coffee, then off to the pool for 15laps and chilling in the jacuzzi.

At around 10.30AM I met up with Nils in front of my hotel, going out for some food. We ended up at Kraze Burger, which is a pretty solid Korean burger place. I craved the Matiz burger and then we went around Busan by foot to see what this place is all about.

We found a lot of skyscrapers being constructed, and the area we live in actually reminds me a bit of Dubai, all new, but nobody around and far from all office spaces in use.

We walked around for a fair bit and then decided to go to BEXCO, which is the venue for WCG 2011. When we got in, we noticed a Korean guard fending off a guy in a wheelchair, who wanted to enter the hall for WCG. We just went in, and I'm guessing since we were not Koreans, the guard basically didn't know how to stop us.

The venue was roughly 50% done when we went in, walked around for a while and went to say hello to all the CS refs, who were setting up and testing the tournament area.

Then we went to Shinsegae Centum City Department Store, which is supposedly the world's largest department store. We walked around for hours in there, and it is indeed quite massive. I bought a book (Steve Jobs biography), while Nils bought a pair of shoes.

After having sat down with a cup of coffee, we decided to go back to my hotel to drop our bags and then head to the Busan Aquarium. Now, for those who follow me on twitter, might have noticed this photo from yesterday. I was so certain, sitting in the front seat when we took a cab back to the hotel, that the cab driver had a cock ring in the cab. What do you think?

After dropping our bags, we went to the Aquarium, where we spent quite some time walking around looking at all sorts of fishes and other sea creatures. After finishing our tour, we decided to go chill at our hotels and meet up in the evening for dinner.

At 6.30PM, we went for dinner at T.G.I. Friday's. Once getting there, I get a txt from Lexxech from place2play (former gamesworld), who later joined us with his crew. After dinner and two beers, I was pretty beat and decided to call it a day.
Stay updated with everything I do
I know most of you probably follow me on twitter already, but for those who don't, be sure to follow me at twitter.com/NixHLTVorg, I'm posting tons of small updates and photos when at events.
Time has come to shower and get ready for the first day of WCG 2011, be sure to stick to HLTV.org for the four days to come!

What worries me is the fact you knew that was a cockring :o
You go to South Korea and you order Burger and Chips???? :D
Problem is, its really hard to walk into a Korean place and have dinner. First of all, everything is in Korean and its hard to know, which places are good and which are bad.
Today and onwards I'll have a local helping us with food, so should be solid.

he betrayed Denmark :(
Cuz he is currently there lol
I know, obviously.
But It's not like he's changing it to every countries flag he goes to, right?
That specific question wasn't for you though. :-)

Actually he changes it all the time when he is on site in different countries.

He obviously changes IP whenever he logs on to a different location. If he logs on a computer from China, it would be a chinese IP. Same goes to everywhere else, so HE doesn't change it.
Oh didn't know it. Nice.
Even though not a specific question for that user #83 pointed you in the right direction.
IP is not related to the flag and yes, he himself changes it according to the place where the tournament he attends is held.
If I change to a chinese IP I will get a chinese flag. Like any other site would. Been a user on many different sites, and whenever I was on vacation and logged in from their hotel or whatever - I would get a flag from that place I am currently in. I don't know if this site uses that function though, but most do.
