ESWC India 2011 Qualifier Winners

Alright, It was not worthy enough to be on the frontpage. So i thought i should post it in here.

Ate Gaming has won the ESWC 2011 India Qualifiers for Counterstrike 1.6. Beat Team NSD 16-11, 12-16,16-7 on de_dust2 / de_nuke / de_train respectively.de_dust2 was in the Winner Bracket Finals. Team NSD came back to the finals from the lower bracket beating Team MakeWay.

Ate Gaming Lineup:

Ben 'r4iD' Varghese
Ritesh 'RiTz' Shah
Pranay 'Wuzz' Bhatia
Kunal 'PeXXeR' Bhatia
Akshay 'Kappa' Sinkar

Team NSD Lineup:

Imtiyaz 'I am possible' Khan
Bhavesh 'Mag1x' Nachnani
Raju 'PokerF' Jittu
Roshan 'Virus' Fernandes
Akash 'v3nom' Gudkha

I see teams progressing in the right direction. Some good prospects. Teams from Kolkata / Pune played really good. Far better than what most of us expected. Good Game guys. Expecting you to put up a better show next time around. Disappointed with Bangalore though. Not once have I seen them compete with their Lineups in tact. Also, missed few top teams like Invictus / fTw. Perhaps results would be different if they had played?

Disappointed with the organising of events here in India (Nothing New). You win qualifiers just to know that you don't have any slots for the grand finals.You came just to win a Mouse / Mousepad, which you already own or you have a better one. With so many big banners supporting the event, I wonder if it had to be this bad for all of us. We are trying to get a slot, Hopefully, we shall get one.

WCG Qualifiers are to start later next week. National Finals is scheduled for November. Only then can I tell if Ate or NSD or some other shall be eligible to represent India at WCG 2011 at Busan.

well it is believed that it will not be all expense paid trip and that players have to bear the travel and accommodation cost themselves.
and if thats true that i dont think there will be a single participant from india, be it any game at ESWC paris
- well i am not saying this, but i just heard it from some other thread :D

What is the use of playing the tournament if there is no slot for INDIA in the ESWC , ftw and invictus took a better call and stayed home instead of attending nationals (ofcourse includes their personal commitments)

we every year have slot in wcg/eswc but we dont get sponsors every year

I am sure Nomad/Nixon would do this much to help out a team. After all you are winners of India ESWC qualifiers.

@Gamer360: You're very right about Bangalore teams not attending the major events in India with a stable lineup. This has a lot to do with me having exams during the tournaments and others have work related issues. I missed out on this event because I had exams so the team took a stand-in who they barely practiced with... But I'm sure we'll be having our main line-up for WCG!
