I see that some people are very disappointed at SK and already complaining about their 4th place is unacceptable that they should bring delpan back blabla.
Overall they did more then well to be honest accept vs lions. I'm not going to take anything away from lions but that was actually a surprise and im happy for them. They deserve succes to some time. Again SK. They manage to tie against NaVi in the opening game when they were losing 14-4 to them. They manage to comeback and huge taking 11 rounds in a row, the lead 14-15. They almost had it. That was the strongest comeback in this tournement imo. After that game SK went unbeaten in the group, raping pretty much everybody else, including ESC train 16-4 something lmao. The hardest group of all time cs history was won by SK with a new player. If that is not a succes then I don't know what it is.
The Semi-final match they started absolutely perfect. They lost pistol round and went 3 to nothing but then they managed to take all the remaining 13 rounds after strong team play, especially getright. After the switch, again they lost pistol and yeah pasha may have played his best match against SK so far.. The pistol rounds which were both won by the poles decided the first map. If SK would have won atleast one of them as CT then they could have gone 15-0 in half. Not to mention 2-0 in maps and eliminate ESC. De_mirage was more like it. SK out-aiming and stuff but de_train they did their worst T side ever. But still they manged another huge comeback and almost took the game to overtime.. But again ESC is there as always squeezing the final match point round as usual. That is what the poles are good at. To END stuff. Something SK lacks from time to time..
The fun thing is that SK actually won 1 round more then ESC in all 3 maps together. 16-14, 16-14 and 16-11. ESC more matches. They won the more important rounds such as pistol rounds which are extremely important and if you are SK losing a match(nuke) 16 to 14 were you lost both pistol rounds... Than you know what went wrong.
The battle for 3rd place. I doubt that Lions are better as a team vs SK but it was their turn to win this time I guess..
The semi-fnal between ESC and SK were the real final imo and I want to Congratulate ESC for the victory and that you fianlly got your revenge for ceh9s ghost, biggest troll of them all.

totally agree =) trace the best player in sk in this tournament but sk loss the motivation after they loss against esc.(they lost motivation as Delpan :$)

i dont agree. f0rest did a lot of ecofrags in the play offs, thats all. Yes he played good i groupstages with getright, but tbh, they kinda sucked in playoffs.

You're right, but unfortunately for SK, they won't never have a proper direction since its RobbaN who calls for them, and he is a good leader, but at this level, you need a toplevel caller to win titles, and RobbaN isn't.

I believe this time it is. They went unbeaten against top2 teams. It was a tough group and atleast half of them were fighting for top spot, semi final spot. Its still an achivement good 1.

wins in group are only a beggining... the real and valuable matches are in next rounds.. and first of all .. ESC match vs SK was after 3 wins of poles.. Poles could afford to risk lose this match and make a psychologic advantage for SK that will be used for the benefit of the Poles in next rounds ... :)

SK was fucking awesome this tourney and if you go to sk gaming's website and see the video interviews thorin did with neo and kuben you'll see that neo says he was not very confident against sk and after winning against na'vi kuben said that sk played better and was tougher to beat than na'vi
and both losses to esc were by 16-14 which is pretty much the closest you can get
so the smallest of factors could have changed things around
so not really a failure for them
I think they can easily be the team of the year

Yeah they made a couple of bad mistakes, exp. loosing 4vs2 knife on train. Even a pro, it's not that simple to get fit for a short with new player in the team. Also SK 46 rounds - ESC 43 rounds. Please stop saying bullshit like "something > all". Yeah, bassicly pasha won this tournament for ESC and there's also big games coming like CPH.

i agree a 100 percent. The loss agains ESC just took their spirit, which can be quite understandable. The match against lions should have been held the same day as the final, then they might have been able to gather themself and look forward for the match. Taking it on to win, and not coming into it as losers, as they obviously did!

I think SK did quite well. And they might have won the tournament if they hadnt made few big mistakes. They need more time to practice and to come up with new strats. I think the time has come for robban to step up his IGL. When you have 4 mad fraggers like trace, gtr, forest and face, you need to use their aim, but also make them work as a team, not as an individual players. IMO, sk will be best team in 2012. They sent a message to others (NAVI, ESC, etc) that they are even stronger than last year. I think trace awp's quite well, and he's better with riffles than delpan. But delpan was very aggressive with AWP and usually it paid off. Trace is more passive AWP player. Even robban or forest can sometimes awp.

I personally would prefer a team mate who is more rounded which is what Trace is , Delpan would have fucked sk with inconsistency

SK had a new player and did very well. trace never disappoints. But I'm sure that landing a fourth spot with that line-up was hard. They now know, that strats matter. They will create new strats, work on them and will dominate 2012.

Sk threw the 3. place which is what annoys me the most. I guess it was quite stupid to place the 3-4 place match the day before the finals, as SK was clearly disappiontet and obviously couldnt step themself up for the match. It might have been different if they have had a good nights sleep to think about it. They walked into the game as Loosers from the ESC game, and the underdog, Lions walked into it as winners, since they had allready exceeded their expectations.
HOneslty, it angers me quite a bit that they threw it, but i understand it fully.
But yes, as you also write, they just added trace, but clearly he had no prolbem adjusting, that problem had a lot more impact on the play of forest and Get_right in the playoffs.

+1 Right f0rest is always consistent and trys really to be an asset to the team even when they are losing. GeT_RiGhT is more of a player who plays on luck kind of. When things are going his way, when his fragging then he keeps on fragging even more. But when gt is not hitting his shot then it get only worse. Some how he cannot manage to step up his own game when his under performing once in a while. He started as beast on nuke and then he ran of luck.. The last round against ESC on train, he got blinded on alley and still he ran towards to spray alley blind, hoping for to get the kill but he didnt instead loord picked him pretty easy. That kind of play, you succed 1/10. GTs misstake on last round caused them the loss imo. Better luck next time.

obviously i dont get it yes.. SK had the will to win and pushed each other so much to do a comeback and draw to navi on inferno, after that they were so motivated to run easy through the group stage. in the interview with robban he seemed very happy to make rank1 in the group stage. imo SK plays with their heart
