Dying because companys don't want to spend their money on CS anymore, without money and sponsors how organization like WCG or ESWC will pay their prices? think about it. To me it's gonna be more like it was when CS:Source came out. They will try to force us to play CS:GO because big organization, probably like ESL, will put CS:GO and take off CS1.6.

Sponsors, and CS is not dying its just the competive scene that is going down slowly, CS isnt profitable much longer :-)

You guys are allways saying that CS is dead. STOP SAYING THAT! If you keep playing CS with yours friends/team, CS will never die. If you keep training and playing and do not change to shit games like CS:GO, sponsors will not spend money on a game that people don't play. Simple! So keep playing CS and shut the fuck up and nothing will change :)

It's not dieing itself. Maybe there are less players than years ago and obviously the sponsors want to present players in new games. You will ever be able to play Counter-Strike just for fun.

cs it's rly dying..
because so many things: like new games more innovators (no cheaters, in some of them), no sponors, lack of motivation to play, no ideas... cheaters, most of the time we can't knew if we are rly good or bad, or progressing or not, because cheaters etc. imo.
so i'm now retired after 4 years playing and it was the game I loved more.
but, lack motivation, cheaters, lack of opportunities, school, my internet, wtv, i just quit.. and i see specially here, in portugal cs is completely dead. few server with people, and weak people or cheaters, and the pro gamers are givin up, and there are no sponsors or motivation that make them want to play, or tours grow up ...

CS is not dead, but its dying.... They are making the process faster by creating a scenario of dry tournies without cs.

Because mad fan boys thinks, that cs 1.6 will die, if there no will be any big tournament and that it is only about money for teams.
