Its totally random which players they choose. Me and my mate filled in exactly the same. I've done it about 7 or 8 weeks ago? and my mate 3 weeks ago and he already got a key.

I have two steam accounts, so I took the survey two times. I got the beta key almost immediately on one of the accounts. Why..?

Because I took the survey on two different computers. One of them has very usuall components, and the other has not so usuall. Of course I got the invite when I used the latter.

So if you haven't taken the survey yet and are planning to, use your wierdest computer! ;)

It's not nonsense, it's perfect logic. Why do you think they gather your computer speccs during the survey? To spread the invites to most different computers as possible. This way they get a lot more information for how it runs on different hardware.
