If I remember well, in some interview Carmac stated that the 7th season of IEM will feature 1.6, so I think it's fake.

@#5, Carmac confirmed the 7th season for IEM in his interview and he clearly said that LoL is the only game which will be in the next IEM season for 100%. IEM wasn't sure about CS and SC2.

This isn't a fake like you can see on the ESEA website. I'm sure we will see a news on HLTV in the upcoming days.

This means its the last year for professional CS. No WCG, SEC, WEM and IEM. Who knows if ESWC will host a CS Tournament. Maybe they like to be the first major who likes to try out CS GO :)

CS:GO isn't even out, and in reality Valve isn't forcing this on any of the tournament organisers. I am 100% sure if Valve were like that, they would have MADE tournament organisers switch from 1.6 to Source, a LONG time ago. They didn't so stop making Valve out to be bad guys.

You guys need to face the truth , IEM is someday dropping CS, no matter how much you dont want that to happen.

And regarding the CS viewers at IEM, yeah, they werent bad but the payed subscriptions were like 20 and if you check the sc2 forums for instance, they always buy a lot of premium subs for streams and such meaning they inject money to their own community in a sense, they also buy team shirts, attend events and ask for autographs etc, that doesnt happen in 1.6...
