There is a reason why Arsenal doesn't spend like Real Madrid, Manchester City, etc. If you take a look at the profits announced by the club, it is way more impressive than any other big club around Europe at the moment (Not surprising considering majority of them are in debt). In the long-run Arsenal will benefit from the business they are making for the past few years. Let's not forget that the club is still trying to cover all the expenses incurred from building the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal follow a particular wage structure as well. They run the club in a professional manner - unlike every other big club in the world paying extravagant wages in order to keep the big names in their club.
In a few years when the FIFA Fair Play rules apply to the game, then you won't see many big-money signings in the future and that's when all the big-spending clubs will face the raw-end of the stick while clubs like Arsenal and Barcelona wont be affected in a greater extent.
The future looks bright for Arsenal, whereas for the other big clubs? Their future looks bleak. At the end of the day, money matters!
