I knew from the beginning that city couldn't continue in the same way as they did in the first half of the season.. shitty city :) - to many ego's and idiots on that team.. especially mario.. a good player, but what a retard.
It's stupid. If Arsenal have enough money to buy some stars, they probaly do it aswell. That is their choice to train young people from Arsenal-School and not buying stars. It's kinda stupid to saying that team with more spend money for players has better chances to win vs this team who don't do it. For example Barcelona - almost all players are from Barcelona-School.
Real Madrid - almost all players are from different teams (bought).
And what? Barcelona won almost every play versus this two teams. I hope you got my point.
There is a reason why Arsenal doesn't spend like Real Madrid, Manchester City, etc. If you take a look at the profits announced by the club, it is way more impressive than any other big club around Europe at the moment (Not surprising considering majority of them are in debt). In the long-run Arsenal will benefit from the business they are making for the past few years. Let's not forget that the club is still trying to cover all the expenses incurred from building the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal follow a particular wage structure as well. They run the club in a professional manner - unlike every other big club in the world paying extravagant wages in order to keep the big names in their club.
In a few years when the FIFA Fair Play rules apply to the game, then you won't see many big-money signings in the future and that's when all the big-spending clubs will face the raw-end of the stick while clubs like Arsenal and Barcelona wont be affected in a greater extent.
The future looks bright for Arsenal, whereas for the other big clubs? Their future looks bleak. At the end of the day, money matters!
considering we were 17th at one point while losing 3 insanely important players from our team, turning it around, 1 place behind city and beating them and taking into consideration how much they have spent compared to us... i'll take that any day
lol i hope they dont show the door to him this summer.. He has been one of the best one-club legends along with totti, maldini, scholes, giggs etc. Look at scholes he is so influential on and off the pitch for man utd even now. It would be so stupid and ungrateful of juve management to let him go!
Arsenal DOMINATED the game in every aspect. Van Persie should have scored a hat-trick!
1. Vermaelen blocked his first goal.
2. He hit the post when he CLEARLY should have scored.
3. He was offside in one attacking move which was very foolish of him because if he had been a yard behind the defense he would still have been clean through and would have been onside!
And let's not forget Man City were lucky they played the majority of the game with 11 men, Mario should have been sent off at the start!
Arsenal > Man Shitty in that game and I don't think anyone can deny that :P
yes they were, i was just trying to point out that if your team could have scored 5 goals and scored 1 instead, you should't be so proud... :D
but I totally share your feelings towards arsenal, as they are a very honest team capable of beating the shit out of any team in the world and also to loosing to lamers... :D it's very entertaining to watch them.
Btw. I really think Arsene Wenger should return to the direct passing counter-attack game he forced a few times during the season. You have 2 very fast wingers (gervinho, walcott) a very strong midfield and a classic world class complete forward (RvP)...
But I'm no manager - so i'm probably wrong - I just love the tactical part of football. :D
