SS Siberia v2 are fit for gaming as well as music...
SS 7H are hardcore gaming headies as the bass is suppressed in 7H, making them best for gaming, but costly as well.
I myself use SS Siberia v2 + Soundcard.

7H >>>>>>> Siberia in everything, and Siberia really isnt good for music
2012-04-15 08:35:58
wrong, it sucks for music. Does its job for gaming though

SS' headsets never does their job for music, maybe for gaming but people who love SS' headsets can only dream about having 2 in 1 headset from steelseries...

I heard and watched some reviews that the 7h have a lower sound quality than siberia v2, is this true?

no, not true, I actually own the 7H usb and the sound is perfect and clear and is fit for gaming, music, etc. However it's quite more expensive than Siberia due to it's design I assume. But I assure you it's worth it.

fit for music? I thought that too, until I get one designed for music. there's a huge difference :)

I already own a pair of seenheiser headphones for music and movies etc, now I want to buy another pair for gaming, I got the v1 and Im used to how they feel and they are pretty comfortable, the 7h look very big on ur head and they are sound cancelling, do they feel tight on ur head?, also 7h have alot of moving parts that can cause them to brake, the siberias are pretty tough I dropped my pair like fifty times and not a single scratch now I need a new pair because sometimes one earphone gets louder than the other.

the 7h has exactly the same sound as the siberia v2 , if u don't believe me check their pages on the steelseries.com sites in 2 tabs at same time and see the information of the sound quality ;)

only difference between the siberia v2 and 7h is that the 7h is more expensive cause they have the design of the 5h's. which has a disadvantage , cause they break very easily. only thing i like about them is that you can change the cups from leather to that thin cloth or how you call it...

but for the rest siberia has a nice design and it's probably the most comfortable headset in the world now , and since it has the same sound as 7h , why take 7h which break , are not so comfortable , and are more expensive?...

just go for siberia v2 with or without usb , it will be a win :D

p.s. - my black/gold version is comming :D just got a new pair after the other pair i had from feb 2011 :D

Style : v2 > 7h
Color(s) : v2 > 7h
Durability : v2 > 7h
Price : v2 > 7h, when you get both on v2 and 7H 18 – 28.000 Hz
Travelable : v2 < 7h but anyway 7h is a very delicate
Both are comfortable and light . Also both of them have good ear cushions.
For me v2 7.1 >>> 7h 7.1

I have SS 5xb and its cheap (in Poland it costs about 35 euros) and its a preety good headset look at it

siberia v2

I wonder if you mind spend extra 30 euros on a headset? You will save alot of money because you buy once for all the best headset and not going through a maze (for example buying siberia v2, then 7h, then noticing that PC350 has gotten amazing reviews and you buy PC350. This costs like 270 euros). I have gone through that kind of maze and i suggest you to avoid that shit.
But if you don't have interior sound card then i suggest you to buy siberia v2 since it costs less and it doesn't have that cord bug (when ever you are talking to someone for example via steam voicechat and you touch suddenly the headsets mic, the mic starts to show its last days)

Huge mistake if you ask me.
2012-04-15 22:39:36
Why, explain yourself.

Agreed with Seffe...

I have used SteelSeries 5Hv2 and Siberia v2 for few hours and those were surely the most horrible hours to my ears EVER.

If you have used headphones which had even a little bit of bass, you can't use SS headphones.

well let me explain with one sentence: just compare steelseries' headset to for example sennheiser PC350 (both are headsets and they are meant to be used in gaming, however the diifffeeereeenceee iisss overkill with everything).
2012-04-16 14:25:49
none!
PC350 ftw
