The thing is that in countries like Norway, Sweden, Denmark (not sure bout Finland) the salaries are very high, so paying 300 euros for such a good monitor is nothing, but here in Argentina the salaries are very low, plus the goverment super-high taxes for electronic-imported stuff. Is almost impossible to buy a monitor of this quality.

I bet Finland beats Argentina in every single tax. :) Finland has second highest taxes in the world after Norway. And btw the monitor cost 450 euros when it came to markets in Finland. Benq XL2420T cost 500euros, but now its only 359euros. The prices are dropping very fast now. Last year everything was expensive as hell. And I dont have money for that monitor either. I'm playin with 8years old 17" hp crt... :D
It depends 100% on the job you got. My dad earns 2500e/month but after taxes and bills he only has 250 euros to use. Big part of that goes to money and gas so its not much left for "free use".
2500e/month is a lot of money :P here in arg is like $15.000 pesos argentinos, a very high salary. A house with a pool and big-space, 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms is like 250k dollars. what's the price in finland? (obviously depends on the neighboorhood etc but you know :) ) tell me :D
In my city a average house costs 200 000€ (~$264 000). A house like you described costs between 250 000€ and 400 000€ depending on build year and location etc. And houses in my city are pretty cheap compared to bigger cities' ones.
