I don't think, he is overrated. He has some sick actions, and incredible reflexes.

imo coloN, not because he's Danish but because his consistency in hitting shots. Both online and on LAN he "drags" his scope really well :). Delpan and Friis are amazing awpers but they don't consistently keep their level, the only two awpers that were so consistent was Markeloff back in 2010 and Sunde back in 2008.

To keep this discussion up i´m going to post something you can think about.
1. COLON so far has only played 2 top teams on LAN where he was solid and his team got knocked out of the tournament. That´s kind of too early to make any conclusions at all whetever if he´s consistent or not. 2 LAN´s - and he was solid, not good.
2. Which kinda brings me back to the 1. point.
Delpan has been on the scene since mym.se 2009 and has proven several times, inclusing winning multiple titles. colon so far has proven 2 things: 1) He´s not cheating 2)is solid player on LAN.
So really if you start comparing colon with delpan or friis you should first take a look at what teams colon has been playing to make any conclusions in the first place.

Well keep in mind I meant awping ability, in terms of team play and experience the other players blow coloN out of the water. Though I completely agree they are on a higher level than he is, I just believe this is due to inexperience considering he's way too new to the scene. The only real experienced players in eSrael are trace and Arcadion, players like coloN make too many stupid mistakes and get picked off easily. Regardless of who he plays against, I admire coloN's awp ability based on how quick and accurate his reactions are when he comes around corners and hits his shots.

Delpan, Friis, and markeloff are a lot better players not just because of consistency in playing against big teams, but through years of experience. I see coloN has a future player, to take their place as the best awper ONLY when he's had as much experience as they have.

So yes, currently they are better. Though this topic is about 2012 and I believe if given enough time he can be on the same level as them if he's played more games and started to play against top teams consistently as they do.

Well everyone makes mistakes and I'm human after all, I can over exaggerate sometimes just as everyone else can. At the time I just watched a demo vs Lemondogs or something and I saw him get his double 4 man and I was a bit hyped of how fast his shots are.

Though I agree it's a bit early to say how well he'll do in the future.


I think the reason he's bad against top teams is because top teams usually have really experienced players who know how to counter inexperienced awpers, and they never really gave him a chance to shine due to them not making any mistakes against him. Not to mention the top teams have more experienced awpers.

If you remember Delpan in 2009 he was considered a cheater just like coloN and it took a while before he went into a top team. Friis was just another Full Gaming member with no real future until he was transfered to mTw and people saw so much potential in him. This is the same potential I believe coloN has, but they had years of practice due to this. He still has a future ahead of him.

Possibly, although a lot of known players were in the scene for a while before they became a "OMG TOP PLAYER" status, watch videos of WCG 2009/2008 etc and you'll see players completely dominating smaller teams. I remember seeing "markeloff" and "zeus" (I think was zeus) in those frag videos, getting dominated. No one knew markeloff at the time, no one cared. He might have done well but no one really recognized him. After Na'vi came, everyone recognized him as a top player, that's when his potential shined.

Yes well, i mean you have to start somewhere, right? If you dominate smaller teams that can only be a good sign. If you don´t dominate lesser teams you´re not going to dominate top teams - that you can be sure of :P

In this case, colon is again only proven to be one of those upcoming players and as i´m not seem to be tired of this: it´s yet to be seen as he needs to prove himself with the upcoming experience as well.
I think if colon manages to win atleast 1 title in 2012 where top teams attend aswell i can consider colon being a top player. I just wouldn´t compare colon with friis/delpan or markeloff yet. Even if he only speak about 2012.

They needed a strong awper, trace is decent and he was the best rated player in SK. However the language barriers allowed for way too many mistakes and he was defensive while Delpan is aggressive. I don't consider Delpan to be "THE WINNING FACTOR" so to speak, but I think that him being in the lineup makes the other 4 players adjust better to the style they are playing with now, and therefore as a team play better than with trace.

I think the main factor was that SK didn´t have a open-fragger with trace. The language barrier seems like a excuse while the real reason was that the gamestyle´s just didn´t fit.

if its truly "ATM" i dont know why all says markeloff. Hes been quite inactive, and starix has been on the awp.


I personally think Friis is the best awper, but if colon continues he will soon take over.
