Hello guys, I know my question is s2pid but I'm begginer in CS :)
Why Monitor HZ is important for CS, I think in game? what Hz change?
I play with 60hz on 17 inch monitor and it's ok :$ Please help, tnx!
right, but monitor which can handle 75hz is not so expensive:)
in Poland, you can get 2 of these monitors for Kinzu price, so I dont think that this is a problem
Cs will be much more smooth if you play with 120Hz then you cant go back to 60 it feels like you are playing with 30 fps xD But you wont be better because of the monitor but its nice to have a high hz monitor cuz everything feels so good.
Well.. As the monitor updates the game faster with higher hz you'll be able to control the spray/recoil better, and the overall feeling will be a lot smoother.
The response time of the monitor only causes the delay between the computer/input devices and the monitor it self. The hertz frequency makes the game smoother.
Try -freq 75 in the launch options. If this doesn't work, try updating your video drivers and look around the control panel if there is any herz option.
What resolution do you use in C-S? My LCD has native refresh rate 60Hz too, but counter-strike, if playing @ 640x480, enables me to set refresh rate up to 75Hz.
also your movement in game and mouse movement is faster but trust me . if you dont have stable fps do not buy crt. unstable fps + 100 hz crt is most unsmooth game ever much worster when you have low fps on lcd
lol bullshit? you probably never play at fps 60-70 (low end computer) with 100hz. I know it because iam using crt monitor and it feels foking gr8 when i have stable fps but when my fps drops (I mean at least 60-70 fps) its so much badder then playing with 60-70 fps on lcd. trust me. and actually yes your movement with mouse is faster because is refreshed much faster then on lcd
I don't know why it is actually important, but when I play on more hz than I'm use to the game feels so much slower and it takes hours for me to adjust to it.It was such a pain in the ass for me in lan until i figured out that was the problem.
I have a notebook, and it only supports 60 Hz. The video card is a Intel HD 3000, I already tried to create a new resolution, but nothing. Anyone have a tip to force to use 75 Hz?
well for exemple if i put -freq 100 i see it windowed but if i put it to -freq 120 i can play fullscreen and it feels smooth...
my model : LG flatron w1943SS
