I'm sure most of you play with it just because some pros did back in the days, or because you got told it's the best.

Anyway, I prefer 800*600 myself. Almost the same as 640*480, but the graphic is better. Can't see why people would play with 640*480.

My monitor is about ~ 7-8 years old the max resolution which can handle is 1400x1050 but in 60 Hz in 1024x768 max 75Hz but in 800 or 640 100&120 Hz so its not realy because of the monitor.
Its because of my integrated card...with these high fps boosts I could play on constant 100fps but these model changes and modifies are illegal, but I dont change them I usually try to avoid all of those things which concered to be "cheat" so If I suck in game, than I suck :)

It all comes down to what you are used to, if you've been on 640 since the CRT-days of CS, switching to 800 is an unnecessary adaption where you'll get little or no profit at all. The one argument you have is that it "looks better" and that doesn't really make a difference at all. It is not the graphics that keeps people playing CS.

But I agree with you on one point. 800x600 fits newer monitors way better than 640x480.

It's a valid argument though. Why have worse graphics, when it almost doesn't change anything to the game anyway? It only makes it better to play in 800*600. I know the thing with people being used to, but like I wrote before, it's only because people were told it's the best or saw pro gamers play with it. You can't play like the pro gamers just by changing the resolution.

I played 640*480 for a while as well, but I don't see the point in using it. The graphics are just terrible, edges and stuff aren't good at all compared to 800*600. And in my opinion the graphics does matter, when it's so bad like in this case. I know it can't change much in CS 'cause it's so old etc. but it makes everything more smooth and playable. I don't know which resolution you play with, but if you're using 640*480 try giving 800*600 a shot.

I can't tell the difference between CRT and TFT, it's been too long since i used CRT.

Yes. And you're way of thinking is exactly my point: you are used to 800x600 and you have probably developed a certain playingstyle while using this resolution. Therefore of course you'll see no point in using 640, it just makes it look worse and feel different to you.

And what you are saying about the game not being that different in different resolutions is bullshit. The whole gaming experience changes when you switch resolutions, the HUD(hp,ammo,health etc.) the GUI, the ingame chat, your radar. Literally everything changes and it takes some time to get used to. I play on 640, have done it since I can't remember when. I have tried to switch to 800x600 but it just ruins my game so much and when there is no actual reason for me to do it, I don't even know why I even should bother.

Yes, the sensors of Kana or Kinzu V2 has really poor performance on any colored pad.

I would say that they have really poor performance in general. I dont know if it is my copy of the Kana that has shitty performance, but I cant use the Kana at all, regardless what pad I use. Have tried QcK+ SK, QcK heavy, QPAD UC XL, QPAD CT LARGE and Zowie swift. The performance is better on any one-colored mousepad, such as QCK heavy. But the KANAs sensor is still nowhere close to good.
