Compared to the best, maybe.. but the USA made much progress during the last few years and presented themselves nicely at the last World Cup. Keep the head up, Klinsmann is doing a good job so far in my opinion. Americans should just stop supporting their boring other sports like baseball or american football that no one really interests outside of the USA and they could do even better. ;)

If that would happen they would dominate football. In my opinion they have the best atheltic trainers and the best resources to dominate this sport, football is getting bigger and bigger over there. I predict that they ll be a top nation in the next 20 years.

I don't think "soccer" is going to be one of their main sports... it's not a tradition over there, so I think even with resources and stuff, they'll never be top5 in the world.

actually the popularity has grown quite a bit. Baseball is a bore if you ask me and American Football can be quite exciting sometimes if you were raised on it but otherwise soccer's popularity has increased a TON in the last 5 or so years. (in the USA)

During the world cup is when most Americans get more committed to the sport but some watch our team whenever they play. You'd also be surprised how many Americans PLAY soccer. I live in Las Vegas, NV and there is a field accross the street(dedicated to soccer) which has hundreds of people on it daily for small tournaments among kids of all ages and you can hear the cheering a mile away :)

Brazil's lineup sounds interesting. I really like Rafael (GK), Sandro and the four offensive guys.

Only Hulk, T. Silva and Marcelo are 23+. It's a really young lineup, full of stamina.

Hoping to see some samba on the field.

Lucas and Pato should step-in on second half - too bad Ganso, D. Alves and D. Luiz are injuried =(

Government spending a lot of money on football stadiums which will run for one month, one competition and we won't see the return of it. Meanwhile, what we see are people suffering, living in misery, needing medical assistance, better transports..
I don't see anything badly with the fact Brazil is the best or one of the bests in volleyball though..
