Why is it that all pros rather play with ss if zowie is that good? Just because they are sponsored? Do you know any pros playing zowie am?
2012-05-31 22:27:12
Because of sponsor most top teams are forced to play with Steelseries-mice.

I think NEO is using some Zowieproduct at least, probably not the AM.

But if you have decide between these two I would really say go with the Zowie AM. The sensors of the Kinzu V2 / Kana are horrible. Escpecially on multi-colored surfaces.
2012-06-01 11:56:01
NEO is using Zowie EC2(probably eVo version).
2012-06-02 21:00:32
ceh9 is using zowie am

This cant be true, considering how big of a role Steelseries seems to have in NaVi.

neo, heaton, spawn, and many many others use Zowie because they are not forced to get any other mouse, and they just like it
also, Im pretty sure that all the pro players will get rid of steelseries shit in case they are not sponsored anymore
2012-06-03 16:35:10
perfect example by heaton and spawn...
They are basically working for zowiegear and how can you imagine them promoting any other mouse?

my point is, heaton created the EC while spawn created the AM, and both of these guys knows very well what is cs special needs, so these are like cs mice..
2012-06-03 16:51:42
Oh.. do you really think its heaton and spawn who created the mice? I don't think they even participated in creating them... The only thing they probably did is testing the mice, that's it. Heaton and spawn were hired and paid to participate in a strategy that was aimed to attract boys like you, who actually buy the shit zowie says and so they can get more customers to buy their products. Seems like the strategy works pretty well.

probably true, but it is not only me who says ZOWIE is great, have a look at reviews, ask the players who tested it, everybody is saying that ZOWIE is underrated

@ adv BBBW why v2 over zowie am?
2012-05-31 23:31:47
i just feel better with it, both have great sensors great shape, gliders, but kinzu is smaller (i like smaller mices yes :D).If you don't like small ones, think about Kana (same sensor as v2pro but larger mouse, and it glows :D), so you wont make mistake if you buy some of them...

Both have great sensors? Man you cant even talk about SS's shitty sensors in same day than Avago ADNS-3090.
2012-06-01 14:52:44
Afirmative, v2 have fantastic sensor
2012-06-01 15:01:53
Wrong, AM has better sensor.
2012-06-01 15:05:33
maybe, but he cant say that v2 have shitty sensor...

Kinzu is crap
2012-06-01 12:02:12
Kinzu v2, sensor problem i recommend u kinzu v1! or Sensei
2012-06-01 15:06:11
So which mouse has the best sensor?
2012-06-01 15:33:23
i would go for steelseries
2012-06-01 15:57:03
have both here, kinzu has the better shape and weight... But sensor makes problems sometimes... zowie am doesnt feel that great but totally has the better sensor...

Anyway I think I send both back and go for the xai or sensei raw... You know the difference?
2012-06-02 00:29:40
if you like the sensor in the AM but not the shape maybe go for EC eVo?

xai and sensei are laser mice, it's terrible :p
2012-06-02 00:39:28
the zowie sensor is still better than the raw and sensei
2012-06-02 00:48:15
Kinzu has a really big issue with multi-colored mousepads, and so does the AM, but it's not nearly as bad.

If you use a team QcK, like Fnatic, EG, Tyloo, etc, you should not even think about the Kinzu v2. The AM will be much better. As for ergonomics, that is up to you entirely, no one can influence your opinion on ergonomics.

The Avago 3090 (ZOWIE AM/EC eVo) is not better than the Avago 9500 in real world situations. It doesn't have any issues handling multi-colored pads, and I can get the Sensei to track at higher speeds. It has a slight acceleration issue (5-10%), but it's consistent.

www.fragboss.com for reviews on just about every major gaming mouse.

"Kinzu has a really big issue with multi-colored mousepads, and so does the AM"
No. No such thing on the AM.
"The Avago 3090 (ZOWIE AM/EC eVo) is not better than the Avago 9500"
Avago 9500 has accel, 3090 hasn't.

Good website, thanks for sharing.
2012-06-02 21:40:21
Thanks can you recommend the xai/sensei raw?
2012-06-02 09:25:10
I can recommend either. I haven't used the Sensei Raw yet, since it's not released, but it will perform very much like the Sensei in all aspects.

Both are good mice, and easily one of the best I've reviewed to date.
2012-06-02 20:15:18
SteelSeries Sensei sucks, bought 2 of them, both didn't work properly........

lol, ofc AM, I have Kv2 and it really sucks
2012-06-03 09:47:45
I like the kinzuv2pro shape and feeling, sensor seems to be terrible though...

Kinda funny if you look at the wheel mouse optical or intelli 1.1 or mx518 they are so much older but seem to have better sensors? How is that possible? :D

Anyway the AM felt not so good I couldnt really play with it...
I sent both mice back and now I play with my mx518 again...

Most of all pros play with neutral or symmetrical mouses/mice (Not fitted for righthanders), so next I will test:

- wheel mouse optical (overclock hz to 500)
- xai/sensei raw (same shape right? Better sensor and weight on sensei raw)
- kana (Is the sensor any better than the kinzu v2 one?)
- kinzu v2 pro again (Maybe I had a bad or used mouse, there were scrachtes on the glides)

And because Im stuck on my mx518 shape I will give:

- EC2 eVo (Neo is a legend :), Shape seems to be a mix of intelli 3.0 (every pro played this mouse) and razer DA)

a try...

If I cant use any of them I think I have to stuck with the mx518 though I will miss the placebo effect of playing the same mouse that the pros play... (Hacker COLON at least... ;D)
2012-06-03 12:33:42
Please ignore what the pros are playing with. You are mentioning that most professional players use ambidextrous mice and that is simply because of Steelseries-sponsorship. Steelseries have almost only released ambidextrous mice since they started with Kinzu/Xai.

Both the Kana and the Kinzu have cheap-ass sensors so I would say dont even bother thinking about these.

If you can get a hold of a WMO-mouse and can manage the shape of that mouse I would really say that that is the way to go.

But a good option to that is to get the Logitech G400. It has the 1000HZ report rate(plug and play). In my opinion the mouse feels better than the MX518(top and sides) and one great thing is that the sensor is close to perfect in the latest batch.

"In retail stores, you can tell the difference between the older and newer versions by the package's transparent closure labels; G400s without angle snapping have the Logitech logo printed on these labels. G400s with angle snapping have no printing on these labels."
http://www.overclock.net/t/1197269/g400-angle-snap..

GO FOR THE G400!!!!!!!!!!

dont bother yourself testing kana, it has the same sensor as the kv2
2012-06-03 16:37:04
I just found out that old ms mice have 4000+ or 8000 fps per second while kinzu only has 3600 fps its so crazy how 15 year old mice have a better sensor than new ones that are actually made to play with... haha...

Anyways I heard the kana one is better because of a better lense or something...???
2012-06-04 17:02:20
zowie am
2012-06-03 16:18:36
Still I will test the pros mice and last option is mx518/g400 ... I like the placebo + there a many pros that arent sponsored and still play on SS mice or zowie EC´s...

How is the sensor of the wmo and intelli 1.1 compared to the SS kinzu/kana and so on?

No problems on colored mousepad.
Malfunction speed is better in old Microsoft mice.
2012-06-03 17:53:55
somehow crazy right?
2012-06-03 18:26:14
Yes SS Kinzu/Kana has PixArt sensor and it doesn't like the colored mousepads.

Overall most of all pros play with neutral or symmetrical mouses/mice (Not fitted for righthanders)right?
2012-06-03 19:42:33
What I found out is that a major part of the pros plays with symmertrical mouses/mice... Like 1.1, xai, kinzu and so on...

Moreover I do think the g400/518 is to heavy and big but I still play with it. If the Kana/kinzu had a better sensor I would switch...
