Absolutly not, since CS:GO is build on Source2 engine, while CS:S and Half Life 2 is build on the old Source engine. Only Portal 2 is build on the Source2 engine along with CS:GO.

CSS is much playable than CS:GO. When i play CS;GO i want to cry with bloody tears, this is isn't Counter Strike, it is freaking monster mixed by Modern Warfare+L4D2+CS+BF. So yeah, maybe CSS will die after cs:go release, but after 2-3 years, no one will remember this game.
