I won't buy that shit. Played the beta recently and it is utter shit, there is no way to fix that game in 1 month, there is no way to fix that game in 1 year, the game is a disaster from engine to gameplay to maps to models to netcode. No way I will leave a good, almost perfect CS version like 1.6, to play a utter shit version, just because of money, events. I play for fun, with friends, my goal is my college, not CS, I don't want or need money from CS.
Valve won't get my $$$ for a shitty game, maybe it will get yours, thats your problem, not mine.

See.. the only thing promod lacks is the force man :/ we saw the power of valve... those guys really need some influence if not money to get it done :/ else no one is gonna bother bout promod.. sadly they hav a team of 10 ppl max? to create thegame.
2012-07-17 03:51:51
25 ppl
2012-07-18 01:09:32

2012-07-17 04:35:22
Yeah you are.
2012-07-17 18:43:05
who will need a game wich you can run on poor pc's a little bit more spec's are asked than 1.6 but still nothing crucial, can run that game on shit pc
2012-07-17 05:15:52
Graphics will get updated, it's dated to 2007 atm, but it will be upgraded with time.
2012-07-17 18:43:28
it's great that cspromod can run in a shitty pc , most people dont have the money to buy a good pc
2012-07-18 14:37:55
yes, but for sponsors who support big tournament names its disaster.
2012-07-18 15:35:07
Actually its not, sponsors doesnt give a shit about graphics. Atleast Carmac said so ;]
2012-07-18 15:45:11
really cant understand the motive behind creating a game that is pretty much same as cs1.6, price cannot be a factor as cs1.6 is i believe one of the cheapest game available.
2012-07-17 10:43:27
All you guys talking about cspromod but noone plays xD funny.

csgo is shit, if it doesn't improve I won't play it, simple as that.

2012-07-16 20:23:44
And the point is?
2012-07-16 20:23:58
true but yet nobody told you to stop playing cs 1.6 you can still play the game but it wont be played at a pro level anymore
2012-07-16 20:24:18
this threat is all about showing that valve should support cspromod instead of csgo
2012-07-18 14:39:28
i see people on this site who dont get 100fps in cs 1.6, how will they play cs go ? :s
2012-07-16 20:31:07
lol
2012-07-16 20:39:35
if you can't get 100fps on CS 1.6 you really need a new computer.

2012-07-16 20:58:57
and do you really think that everyone has the money to buy new computers?people play with what they can afford..
2012-07-16 22:16:30
well if a game is so important to u to be posting YEAHHHH IM BOYCOTTING CS:GO. you should start to think about playing ur favorite game with at least 100fps. noob
2012-07-16 23:03:32
He is right dumbass, only a nerd would buy a new computer just for 1 game... But yeah, i guess you're a child who doesn't know how life is and wastes all of his time playing games. And how ridiculous are you? Calling him a noob when you didn't even saw him play... do you even know what noob means?
2012-07-18 14:17:58
yeah, you are absolutly right bro. But there is a term called 'Good Investment'. The ones who really want to enjoy the 1.6 at its best should think deeply over this point.
When it comes down to buy a new PC, everybody is talking about i7 or i5 3rd gen. etc. etc. Well, if u need a PC for playing 1.6(mostly) and not the other high-end games, u can settle for i3 1st or 2nd gen. or even Core2Duo with a decent gfx card(8400GS works for my friend and its cheap too).
I played on 20-40 fps for about 3 years, before buying a new CPU just for 1.6(and thats 2 years back). Since then, gaming has a new meaning for me.

we dont waste all the money on the fucking technology of computers
2012-07-17 04:19:42
+1, I have 512 MB RAM...When I'm playing mixes with ts3 I have 40-70 fps
2012-07-17 07:36:45
well i had a p4 3.0ghz and 1gb of ram before i started playing cs, to get 100fps in cs i bought 8400gs for about $35, but if i want to start playing cs go, i will have to buy CPU,motherboard,RAM,graphics card, and a good PSU. now thats not affordable.
2012-07-17 18:01:42
excately the same problem + the game is shit :D
2012-07-18 04:00:21
Yea, i bet Valve won't do anything before it's release, i mean improvements like recoil, movement, maps and so on.
2012-07-16 20:37:08
Noobs like b1n3 will kill fps games, just because they are afraid of changes. Dudes get over it, cs 1.6 is legendary game but, every big events droped it. I'm sure that valve will make CS:GO cool game and in the future we will see it as a main title in ESWC, WCG, IEM and others.
2012-07-16 20:41:09
everybody said the same thing for css: guess what, I have bad news for you
2012-07-16 23:08:50
guess, what, valve doesnt care about making the game "cool", all they care about is pushing it as an esport main title, then a lot of casual gamers will eventually start playing it even if it's shitty, that's how the world rulez, $$$
2012-07-17 12:29:16
let's see cs1.6 started as a mod made by the community and now it's the main cs title , css was created completely by valve , and now it's shit , csgo is being created by valve , and it's going to be shit , cspromod is being created by the community , and it's going to be the competetive FPS savior
2012-07-18 14:42:53
i've read somewhere a couple of weeks back that they're working on a BIG patch for the release, saying that movement and recoil would be greatly improved.
i hope they're not just rumours :)

WE HAVE TO KILL THAT SHITTY CS GO
2012-07-16 21:29:06
if they want to replace 1.6, then it must be CSPromod, no more valve shit, and we must not PLAY this shitty game of valve.
2012-07-16 21:35:51
dude promod is even worse then css, that game wont be anywhere near cs:go. PLS!
2012-07-16 23:04:46
da fuq are u saying?
2012-07-17 02:30:04
Explain why.
2012-07-17 02:45:53
Promod > CS:S 10 times
2012-07-17 06:24:28
you sure haven't been playing promod.
2012-07-17 12:30:06
i have, but its not that good as everyone is saying. I still think for a game that wants to be like 1.6 they can at least fix the kill animations. the rest is ok but the graphics are shit
2012-07-17 19:06:32
it's not "even worse than CSS" as you claim it to be, it is indeed far superior to CSS & CS:GO, and, of course, still far behind CS1.6
2012-07-18 00:51:50
have u played cs:go? :) imo its not superior to csgo. Play cs:go after the release and then judge it.
2012-07-18 11:16:07
Just let Valve finish the game then judge, it's not the boycott time since we game is still in beta. I know it's sad to admit the fact that counter-strike is losing its popularity, and mainly, not popularity, but some tournaments and sponsors. Maybe the pros are leaving, but that's only because they feel they can't play the game always, they have to think about their future (by the way, they all live at ~25 y.o., that's ok). The fans are still alive, and, the game is still #1 played game in steam afaik. Keep playing, keep believin, and the counter strike family will be alive many years.

first of all, the game won't be postponed anymore. they're trying to stick to the announced release date in august.
secondly, i talked to the dev and he told me basically everything about the next patch, which will most likely be the biggest change to CSGO we'll ever see before release.
thirdly, give up your hopes, if you dont like the game right now. you won't like it after the patch either :).

Events will be who decide the future of the Counter-Strike, and VALVE wants grow in esports with CS:GO.
valve=money=events=professional teams=esports community
VALVE in 1999-2012 did NOTHING in esports (in 13 years of CS history never a official league or yearly event like Blizzcon or quakecon), always in edge. Now they want join in esports like Blizzard with Starcraft, in my opinion are good news cause we will have big prizemoneys and events but yes, in CS:GO..

BULLSHIT.
Valve will never ever join the esport market when it comes to CS. Give me a source or stop talking about your day-dreams. Everything we heard since they announced CS:GO was pure marketing, nothing more. They clearly stated they won't host any tournament.

Dota2 is whole different story.
All we saw/heard about CS:GO was just "blablabla". They already confirmed they won't host any tournament and the "working alongside the community" was just a big lie. You must be blind for not seeing this after the past 11 months.

-All the pro players have been given tremendous feedback, they ignored.
-They have a invite only "Pro" forums on the steam forums, valve ignores the posts/threads.
-They said they would only release the game when the community said it would be ready, even if it took 2 years, they announced a release date when 70% of the community says the game is far from ready.
-They have been hosting "The International" tournament for DOTA 2, but they have publicly stated that they will not do the same for CS:GO.
-You can't make an eSport game without the community, a big chunk of the CS community will not move to CS:GO as it is a downgrade to other versions, newer players don't enjoy the graphics or the gameplay is simply too outdated.
If there isn't a massive change to the core of the game, it'll be a bigger flop than CS:CZ.

Heaton is a joke. He's just promoting is name by spreading wrong rumors and trash-talk players like carn.
I couldn't care less about what Mr. "buy my products" says. The only thing that's relevant to me is the quality of CS:GO and it couldn't be worse.

2012-07-18 12:45:21
Oh he didn't? Ask carn.
2012-07-18 13:07:16
You still dont know anything he said one thing about cArn that i actually agree with but on hltv everyone have their option but if heaton say 1 thing about cArn then he gets blamed and btw in fragbite stream he said good things about cArn etc. So you should not say his trash talking before you dont even know a shit :)
2012-07-18 13:30:08
He asked walle why the CT didn't buy helmets. Walle said that's quite usual and the Germans would do that often. Heaton answered "and that's why the Germans suck".
Top IGL like gob b even do this and every semi-skilled player nowadays knows why: AK-headshots are always instant kills and if there's almost no way to get wallbanged (depends on map and position), enemy got AK's and you're out of money it's just stupid to buy a helmet.
Regarding the fact heaton hasn't played CS for 6 years he just the wrong person to talk shit about other players and countries.

A while back you talked about cArn and now about germans? lol.
HeatoN about german sucks is just a joke, and yes he have played some gather etc so again you have wrong. The pros doesnt do insta 100% so its good to buy helmet since it can do so you win the duell.

1. cArn wasn't amused at all. Just to make this clear.
2. The thing about the Germans is just a second example and the Germans weren't amused about it too.
3. He hasn't played an official match since 2006.
4. Do you realize that a helmet does NOT increase your body armor? Your sentence makes no sense since a headshot with an AK is always a kill (doesn't matter if you were an helmet or not). The helmet only helps you to lower the damage if you get a headshot trough a wall.

Yes cArn was since you talked about him, he hasnt played since 2007.. but an official match doesnt make sense he have played gathers and thats still a game, about head armour its still needed if you are out of bullets and have to pickup your pistol.. and some in your opponent team (terrorist) may have an colt.. and getting haxxed through wall is very important to have helmet and it happens often. so your sentence is useless.
2012-07-18 14:31:27
Oh lord...
Of course it's good to have a helmet, but if you're almost out of money and you still need more grenades or you're risking to not being able to buy a full-equip. the next round it would be clever to not buy the helmet. Especially if you know your enemy plays with AKs and it's almost impossible to wallbang you in your position.
I'm out of here. No need for further explanations. Have a good day.

I WILL NOT BUY IT! That's the important thing! DON'T BUY THAT SHIT PLZ GUYS
2012-07-16 23:05:33
I'll explain it to you guys. This is the reason why Valve is almost 'bribing' comps to kill Counter Strike 1.6. CS:GO will bring more money because it needs a more advanced PC, not that advanced, but advanced enough so that people who want to play it, have to buy a better pc or just a better graphic. Either way, you won't be able to do it Valve.
2012-07-16 23:35:29
dont buY the game
2012-07-17 04:14:10
Fuck this shitty game, I spit on Valve.
2012-07-17 07:39:59
i play cs for almost 10 years , obviusly i am old and i cant go to another game so diferent like cs:go , but i still believe comunity must develop and go in front.. but it should something near csp, its looks a cool game , if developers make it a free game , and try to create the competition that some rpgs..or even LoL have ... it will be a great game for the future , then valve will buy it. So u guys just need to be calm cuz cs:go will be a huge fail
2012-07-17 10:22:34
DON'T BUY THAT SHIT OF GAME ! :) COUNTER STRIKE 1.6 ruleZ
2012-07-17 12:22:15
you never know, maybe tomorrow the sun rises again .... maybe they pick 1.6 next year in all the major events then what??? u never know
2012-07-17 12:40:52
there is one billion of 15 y/o kids which will buy this casual shitty game anyway. So u can't do anything. I played cs:go yesterday like ~6 hours, and still i can't understand how spray gones, so much random kills + those new pistol of terrorists for 400$ and 30 bullets just imbalaced, as "PP bizon".
2012-07-17 13:20:22
Just play Dota 2, the game is almost pitch-perfect.
Lets hope valve will make a "cs 2" which is as perfect
Lets hope valve will make a "cs 2" which is as perfect
2012-07-17 13:55:41
Boycotting CS:GO will not help CS:1.6 or CS:P in anyway... Major tournaments are done with 1.6, there is no doubting that. CS:P has absolutely no power to push their game on to NEW players, unlike CS:GO, and that is what sponsors and organizations want.
If you like CS:GO, play it and buy it. If you don't like CS:GO, don't play it and don't buy it. The game will be competitive and will be featured in a number of tournaments over CS, CS:S, and CS:P, with or without the 1.6 community's help.

It will fail as hard as CSS did.
2012-07-18 02:27:19
How did CS:S fail? It still has major tournaments, it still has major leagues. There are still a lot of professional teams. There is still money to be made, and sponsors are still attracted to the teams.
This will change when CS:GO is released though.

No-one is forcing you to buy it. If you don't like it, don't play it, but no need to go make a childish "boycott" thread about it.
2012-07-18 11:26:41
I won't be playing CS:GO. I'd rather give my money to Blizzard for WoW/SC2/D3 which atleast care a tiny bit about their players.
2012-07-18 11:28:06
Game developer Chet Faliszek said in an interview with Gamespot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSJLH0OyNk8&#t=.. that the beta would contain like 70% of the finished product. So it's not complete, it's not polished, they even say they put in things that they just wanted to try out (that won't be in the release). Why would anybody judge the game as "not good", when it's not even meant to be the game you're going to play at this point? It's not meant to be judged as a finished game, players are privileged with closed beta access to provide feedback in order to make it the best game it can be at release, start giving some useful feedback instead of spreading disbelief. Claiming the game is and will be broken just seems like a cry out from players that are afraid of change.

Im in!

Stupidest idea what I ever heard! Why? If "we" are going to do this, then we will show only one thing, that the CS 1.6 community is retarded and pathetic.. You can/can't agree with me, I don't care, that's my opinion! Thanks, bye.

2012-07-18 12:49:19

I will follow CS:GO events and stuff it there will be some, but I'll always play beloved CS 1.6
2012-07-18 12:34:01
fuck cs go i am just saying
2012-07-18 12:41:44
i'm not gonna buy it if it's a bad game point simple imo valve should've gone with promod , well i'll stick to 1.6 anyways
2012-07-18 12:55:37
Theres no reason why the pro-mod code cant be migrated to the csgo version of the source engine (and also use csgo assets like weapon models and environment textures). Supporting promod now will be investing in the future of decent counter strike. Promod is much closer to 1.6 than CSGO will ever be with hidden path developing it. (These are the guys that tried to implement rocket launchers and dogs in source). The promod guys know what they are doing, they know what the 1.6 guys want and are working hard to make it happen.
More support for csgo = more web hits = more ad $$ = more developers = quicker/better game...if it gets enough traction and support, valve might even pick them up. Thats what happened with counter strike originally.
Even source players think csgo is shit.
csgo-mod? its more likely than you think.

+1 - been struggling to get a key for such a long time & when I first got the key, heck, I was blaming myself for not selling it instead. :p

im gonna wait to see how it turns out, not gonna blindly hate a game before playing it. To be honest i havent really seen that much from it.. only the pro match some time ago, and i didn't like how it looked.
2012-07-18 14:25:06
CS 1.6 is dead and will never come back. If you want to play competetive you should find another game.
2012-07-18 14:43:26
The game is also developed for consoles, this is a casual game, how can this shit replace 1.6 in tournaments?
1.6 the best ever
1.6 the best ever
