really? lets take Starcraft as an example, how many years did Broodwar stayed as the best RTS worldwide? it got replaced worldwide as soon as the next blizzard RTS was released, something that is going to happen to SC2 as well. CS is the main FPS on earth for 13 years in a row and thats because of its community.

LoL is already being replaced by DoTa 2 on some major tournaments and its because Riot was the only one popping money for that game. It won't last more than a year till it gets completely replaced by DotA 2.

the only community strong enough to compete with CS is the DotA one IMHO, that game is big everywhere (SEA, China, Latinamerica, USA, Oceania, etc) and they didn't sell out as the other communities as easily. Wait till the game gets F2P and even SC2 will start to suffer.

Promod Wont make it because its just a MOD name one MOD thats being played competitivly right now. 1.6 is 13 years old the people who quit wont come back to it. GO has teams/players from every other FPS game, ESWC NA Qualifiers already has over 700 SET TEAMS, and 350 Pending. MLG will make only 500-600$ max off 1.6 viewers, Checksix is Dead Frod/Storm Quit So theres only about 15 teams that would attend an event. GO is the only way to go all you people think about is fun and all this other BS, But its all about the Money dude if you dont have money in this world your a NOBODY.

you will see the hype factor. look at call of duty and battleifield. i bet half of it will already quit after the first matches. the activity in cs:go(steam stats) are not even near to 275x5 players internationaly. do some match buddy they wont play it any long. On mlg events there were always other players from other countries attending. As i said cgs may repeat. Yeah i admit they were coppied off of Source with a some tweaks, But the first week i got off of 1.6 and went to GO the movement was somewhat similar, 1clicks are easier no dinks. The Mechanics of the game resemble 1.6 alot more than source because i see source players complaining 15 times more then 1.6 players. Only thing that took time to adjust to was the maps.

hmm i get your point dude, i played cs go beta more than 30 hours but i've been really dissapointed until now,no more updates since one month,we can still see trhough smokes if we throw an he in it,recoil is fucked up and the list goes on.

I'm waiting a stable version before playing it again and maybe i'll love it then :)

you mean it's even harder to play CS:GO than CS 1.6?
because harder gameplay means higher gap of maximum skill and the professional competitive scene would skyrocket.
To put it simply if CS:GO require more skill-based and luck-based than CS 1.6, then it might be fit for high level competitive game.
CSS is on the other hand based on luck more because of the recoil, there is no certain pattern so you just lucked out doing headshots just by pulling crosshair down and keep the crosshair vertically to enemy :|
if CS:GO requires more skill which I believe don't(no bhoping, more complexity, can't see recoil pattern), I guess I'll stick with CS 1.6.

and also the skill gap is harder for me personally than 1.6. I grew up on quake hl1 engine and unreal. Now if i switch to this its diff but not a bad change. But def harder for me. so it should be a good experience. It is already im enjoying it a lot.
