I remember playing one tournament back in 2008 in Bosnia with some friends. In finals we played BO3 and every single map went to overtime. First map d2 was finished with 25:22 score second de_inferno was played and finished with 16:19 score and last map was de_train with score at the end 22:20.
Longest match I have ever played it took around 4 hours to complete.
yeah i think i do
i might have put chosen some words carelessly a bit but the general idea was that in the olden days you played all the rounds or each of the sides and with two maps, one from each team, that was 48 rounds in total
two maps * two sides * mr12 on each side = 48 rounds
i think it was around that year when 1.6 came up when people generally started to play till the win, that is, with 48 rounds to use in total, till one of the teams scored 25
and thats clanbase im talking about
before that i think there was the 'chargers only' system in place with mp_timelimit and even before that some mixed up system also with timelimit on each of the sides and big (?) and small (?) points to gain? something like that
19 or 18 in overtime, max but it feel like forever and is so tiring
*I mean score is 19-to 16 or sometyhing, not 19 overtimes lol.
I remeber 1 pro match with finnish players I dont know maybe both teams finnish, and basic and co, i think it was close to 50-48 or something, almost 100 rounds total + pauses it was sickest, soo many clutches maybe in 2010 or 11.
It was years ago on inferno. Triple or quadruple overtime in a league match. It was played in mr5 format I believe. Pretty awesome match. We were competing on who would end up moving up into the playoffs to. We lost :(
I was playing a final of Mid level tournament and we had 7 MR3's with no result. We decided to play race to 10 rounds and that drawed too :@ 5-5. We divided the price money and went home 4 am :@- 46:46.
That was the most amazing match i every played and the final was BO3 and each map went to MR3.
