hmm tried to clean your mousepad and the sensor? the sensor is pretty sensitive to dust. so i guess its not a software problem. forget my post about the downgrade

you can pretty much throw your mousepad into the washing machine at low tempature. or just clean with with a water at your sink. and the part with the sensor get a brush or a tissue so you can reach the inside of the plastic lens. you dont have to open the mouse for that. just clean it from the outside as i said. and for sure blowing always helps at the end

first of all which software are you using? 1.42 okay which firmware are you using? you can see that when you plug the usb plug in it will show for a second on the backscreen of your mouse. if you use the newer software i would recommend to downgrade it to an older version. i will look for the link later just tell which software you are using. or contact the steelseries support they have a downgrade tool

the display and the button still lights up. it could be but i dont think so. could be also a cloth pad problem since the xai doesnt track on specific cloth pads that well(it does well on qck i know)

i think not cable crack.

mouse lights doesn't disconnected. just disconnect sound after 10 sec connect sound. after 10 sec mouse connected.

found the software downgrade

1.run fix for deleting all xai files on your pc
2. run downgrade
and then 1.3.6
you might have to restart your pc after deinstallation it doesnt matter if the downgrade said failed to upgrade you see if it worked when you plug your xai to the usb hub in and have a look on the backscreen which version it turned to. it should be 1.3.1 by now and then back it up to 1.3.6

and make sure you test your usb ports

as i said it doesnt matter since you got it downgraded so it worked. just get it to 1.3.6 do a restart if it didnt worked properly and try it again and always check if its not already running now on 1.3.6. it cant be that difficult brother :D

did you used any programs to modify its hertz ? HZ ? switch to default this will solve your problem. I did the same with me intelli 3.0 i forced it to 500 hz then i moved back to 125 because once i started windows and the mouse kept freezing from 10 to 10 minutes.It worked for me..

Had the same problem, its the cable that is broken, you can fix it, open the mouse and try to solve it, i solved the problem, but after some months there was the same problem again.. So i just bought a different mouse ;o

Okay, i am reading some of first comments, and i am LOLED, you are using your xai for 1 year and you dont know how to clean sensor o_O?... First of all, your mousepad should be clean for mouse like xai at all... but you need to clean your sensor one time in day, you should "blow" in your sensor or just take a hair dryer and push to the sensor for about 5 secounds, and then it will be all good...
I am using Xai for about 8 months and i am really satisfied with him, you just need to take care of him, just that, and the mouse will do the rest of job :)

I had the same kinda problem and in order to get it to reg I had to get the 9HD pad which is made for this mouse.

jk, try to blow dust of your mouse sensor and clean your mousepad, also cable can be the problem, i'm suprised that you have eve half-working xai, i had 2 of them and they both died very fast.

It's your cable , go to some electric buddy or someone you know , he will find the error in cabble , cut it and just repair it , i fixed my kinzu 10 days ago like this :)
