When you have LCD/LED monitor you don't need them.

Actually you do ! .. Thanks for one program (I dont remember its name, i will post it when i got home) I can use 75hz on my LCD, if I hadn't used it I couldn't have got them .. In others words i forced 75hz .. Theoretically my LCD doesn't support more than 60hz .. But it seems it does :P ..

There's no risk if your monitor can handle it ..

in target

or whatever frequency ur monitor can support...

Why? No risks involved. Reforce simply scans your monitor and displays the highest refresh rate you can achieve at a given resolution. Very useful. Don't be scared just because it is an .exe :p

the question is more likely, what's the point?

Whats the point in using more hertz? Well your games runs much, much smoother.

you can make it by settings in nvidia drivers or ati, why in the world i would install a program to do something i can easily do without it?
2012-08-03 21:02:18
No you can't. I actually had to forced them with some program .. nVidia Soft doesn't accept to use more than 60hz on my LCD, but this program does ..

Because you must add custom res with Hz, or unlock unsupported resolutions and refresh rates in drivers, that's why :-).

if your nvidia panel doesn't give you option to use more than 60hz it means you have wrong monitor drivers installed.
