CSP in South America
What's up guys.
I got a server in Brazil and we play a lot here. I met 2 guys from Argentina in my server a couple days ago and they latency was very good (something like 50 60 ms and they're from Buenos Aires). I want to know if some people from South America wanna join with us in my server in Brazil, not just from Argentina of course, if that could be possible and playable for you. Here is my server IP: 187.16.16.66:27006.

Let me know about your latency (ms) here and if you wanna play you can contact me on Steam: benaixen

We always got people to play here, always. I can play only at 11 p.m (BRT) to make some mixes. But now we got more 2 admins that can play and make mixes in ther afternoon. Feel free to play with us if there's no lag for you.

Yes it is but we make a lot of mixes there too. I play with some europeans with 220ms and it's ok to me. With 150 ms, in CSP, don't make such a HUGE difference. Just try it!

Explain better this point of view for me, I don't get it.

I think he's talking about the death prediction, that allows people to play without problems even with high ping
2012-08-06 18:26:53
i guess that what akkaaz is trying to say, is that thanks to the new netcode, playing with high ping is not a problem, anyway i think is not thaaat real, i mean with more than 300ms u will sure be in somekind of disadvantage, but anyway the new netcode is waaay better than the one that 1.6 uses :)

there is a new predict system for csp, that means ping doesnt make any difference while taptapping or recoil, it just the same as in LAN

That's half true. 200, 300 or 400ms is still 400ms. The only good thing about prediction attacks system is that you don't see the lag but he's there anyway. I played with some europeans a couple days ago from Finn and Sweden with 200ms. Sometimes it's hard to say when i killed or not an enemy, but a think they improved that in 1.09. Anyway, you still got a lil disadvantage for sure, but is playable, at least for me.

that's cool, but there will always be a problem with cornering, like peeking and etc, that is where ping has alot of trouble. For example, you shoot, then retreat around the corner, but while you are covered behind the wall, you die. yes, it still happens even in csgo, because this is what ping is, and lower latency is always the better environment, you won't see players playing competitively with 80+ ping still.

I got 200+ (rofl)
But in the morning/night should be better, i'll let you know!

I think that could be possible to play with this latency with the new version.
