Sensei RAW
There is some known accel with this mouse due to the laser. Though I heard you can remove this with rinput. Is this true?

dont think so. + prediction shit senzor. Go for better mouse like razer DA or razer abyssus

My deathadder "broke" after 3 months, i got the scroll bug and my mouse1 was double clicking from time to time. :(

It was a decent feeling mouse, too bad the quality was bad.

Dunno what you talk about. There's no accel with the Sensei Raw. The normal Sensei has somekinda custom accel, which u can turn off anyways.

Go for Steelseries and never look back. Razer Copperhead+Deathadder, MX518, Roccat shit .... i won't buy ANY of these mice again.

Sensei Raw, go go.

I clearly do know what report funcion is for, just had to laugh at your "never look back at steelseries". Their mice are crap since xai and unfortunately they dont give a shit about it.

I honestly don't know whats your problem with them. I had a razer copperhead, it broke ... mx518 ...it broke... Microsoft Intelli: better than the others. Steelseries was the logical solution for me, since i like the shape of the intelli.

So whats crap about them? I never had a single problem in a bit over 6 months.

Then you must be having lucky coins in your pocket or something. I had 3x xai, sensei, 3x kinzu.. they all broke or had doubleclick issues or sensor issues. When you browse other threads, you can see people complaining about the same. Copperheads were shitty though, agree. 518 had only one problem, that was the cable contact, otherwise that mouse was invincible.. and yea I like the shape of intellimouse aswell (3.0) and I also liked xai but since I spent alot money on them, I cant use them anymore. So only mice I would recommend nowadays are DA, g400 (which I use) and zowie ones (ec1 is a perfect copy of intelli 3.0). But I would never go for steelseries mouse again, especially with laser sensor. If you really have no problem after 6 months, go and celebrate because u might've bought 1 of 1000 nonshitty SS mice ;)

Well, i hope so :D. Nearly every mouse i had got either double click issues after a while, or the cable broke.

i own about 20 steelseries mice, not a single one has the problems you mention.

The only minor problems were:

Steelseries Intellimouse 3.0 the cable contact needed redoing after about 5 years.

Steelseries Xai (prototype) the mousewheel got a bit clunky (tough to move) probably from dirt or something.

No idea... maybe i'm really lucky as well :)

I'm pretty sure steelseries is known for their overpriced and somewhat badly built products to this day, so your merchandising is useless at this point :(

They have done good job in marketing their products, but the truth of their greediness comes out after all. I wouldn't personally touch any of their products unless they improve their quality.

+I can't understand that why they push those fkn laser sensors to every mice.

i understand and value all your points except the merchandising. I am not contracted and all the products i use i standby as doing the job for me, otherwise i would replace them. In fact i used to use a func / goliathus and puretrack pad for very long periods.

Laser mice point is especially true, i felt ikari and xai were a bit lackluster, but i think they rectified the problem with the Sensei RAW.

oh my god, the sensor himself has aceleration,
you must deal with it, cant remove it via software, mousefix, etc its the fucking sensor.

Some other feel things in different way, it just wasn't the right mouse for him I guess. :D

For example, if you have played with optical sensor as I have for ages, It's very odd to play with laser mice because they are so responsive and the tracking feels different.

Couldnt agree more. As much as i played with the xai i never could get used to is. For sure you wont adjust to a mouse withing one day but even after months i sturggled sometimes which i never experienced when i switch from one optical mouse to another one.

so true. I have 1xKinzuV1, 1x1.1 now and 1x3.0 back then. kinzu is shiet with annoying accel, the micros are perfect (except scroll bug =P)

too bad my 1.1 got this weird problem. after playing for ~.5/1 hour the mouse start to disconnect and then reconnect itself. sometimes the light just black out and never come back until i replug the cable. any help?

OK, honestly now! All mice have some grade of accel. but that is not the point. Even if you have a mouse where you cant even feel the acceleration (pretty much all quality mice inkl. raw), the accel. will have very little impact on your gameplay. The mouse shape, build quality and what you get used to is much, MUCH more important.
Go to a place where you can try it a little bit, if the shape feels really good and its made from a good company (microsoft, razer*, steelseries, zowie, corsair, logitech, roccat etc.) you should give it a try, cause aslong as you dont have a toothbrush as a mouse, what is doing the difference is YOU, not your mouse.

(If you want living proof look over at what umm...lets say Xizt, using an ikari, known for being the odd mouse of steelseries with some wierd problems and more accel. then other mice. But he is used to it and now he is one of the best at CS.)

A lot of fnatic players were using that ikari, and that has terrible malfunction and perfect control speeds.

n0thing uses a Sensei RAW which has 5% inconsistent accel.

I've had XAI for half a year and then I switched to RAW back, 'bout 5,6 months from now and it's amazing.. Build quality is better than XAI, and all those not needed tweaks are removed..
All in all, it's a honest recommend to all players..

It's true. Mice like the Sensei or Mice in general with Lasers like the ADNS 9500/9800 have some small amount of hardware based accel you can't fix no matter what you trying to do.

Means those Mice are not ideal for a competitive Gamer.
It's not the Case that those Sensor are useless crap you can't aim and control with, but they got those hardware accel problems for sure, what stands in your way of a consistent and worldclass aiming you could have with non accel and in best case non prediction mice too.

not really accurate most gamers dont even realise this slight accel wich is around 5% of the overall movement. Even pro's can handle that easily since they use it. Overall i have to agree with you i dont like it either but on the other hand you see such mice in competitive gaming as well. For sure the sponsor plays a rule in that

I have a few minor problems for sensei RAW.

- custom macros not working on w7.64
- profiles are not saved on different pcs.. only cpi

Like others have said, I would stay away from the the SS mice. Head for a Zowie, Razer or some other well thought of mice such as the MX518 is poss and the intellis.

Logitech g500? Anyone? It's a great gaming mouse that offers a lot of useful features also for ordinary computing.

Normal Sensei is one of the best mice right now, with very good and popular Avago 9500 laser sensor. RAW features are a littlbe bit cut off compared to standard Sensei and the plastic it's made of is not so good.
