True, f0rest was really unstable this tournament. friberg and get_right did good every game. For example against ESC at inferno. f0rest finished up with 7-22 or something like that. But some games he just rolled like he and gt usual does.
Nico and markeloff are really dominant with the AWPs. Nice to see gla1ve step up this turnament. Can't believe he managed to pull anexis to a 2nd. place with only 1½ month experience as and IGL, at such a young age. The team overall is very young! Hope to see alot more from anexis in the future.
I just saw the stats for GuardiaN and holy hell I was impressed. Had his team been just as good, they might have been able to threaten NiP, but unfortunately that was not the case. He carried his team by such a large margin that he is the MvP for me.
It's not all just about the stats. For instance both MSL and Nille have a K/D ration beneath 1, which might seem bad, but they both played a great even, so you can't just say: "Wow, 3DMAX might have won, if the other players on the team had a K/D like GuardiaN."
The thing is, we are talking about the MvP and though Anexis definately is the better team, GuardiaN was the sole reason 3DMAX could put up a little fight. Players like GT and f0rest are monsters, but they play with the best players in the world. GuardiaN stood out on his team, whereas many other good players had the backup of their teammates, roles which MSL and NIlle have for players like Pimp and Nico.
You are right, that GuardiaN stood out on his side at least at fragging, but you can't give the MVP title to a guy, whose team doesn't even make into top 8.
It's not just about who is taking the frags. I mean, it is pretty easy to stand out, if you are the one to save, take exits and to be the last man standing. I will say though, that I didn't see any of their matches, but it's no great achievement to stand out on a poor playing team compared to standing out on a team, that plays very well.
