Razer Deathadder - Lift off
I'm mad at all of you :(
Pretty much everyone recommended the Razer Deathadder and I bought it yesterday. The mouse looks and feels great but the high lift off sensivity is getting on my nerves. I want to believe I'll get used to it but I'm not sure.

After googling for the problem, everyone just uses a piece of scotch tape to cover the sensor, but that's something I'd avoid doing, having paid 60€ for the mouse.

Did you guys use this trick or just got used to the lift off?

1day is just not enough, you will adapt after 7 days.I would reccomend you to use lower sens

You are correct. It doesn't. It's only the amount of "readings" the mouse does on the surface per second.

try 1800dpi 1000hz 6/11 wsens 2.3 ingame sens, worked amazing for me

That is the highest sensitivity i've ever heard of... lol
I use 450 dpi 6/11 2.6, on a ZOWIE AM.

The best thing about that sens that you have though is if you flick it you'll be able to do backflips. :D

Is it just me or am I the only one using 400dpi, 500Hz, 6/11 and 2 ingame. So far it seems like my sens is too low, tho I do not feel like highering it.. :/

Probably not the only person man, I know people who use alot lower sens than that. For instance one of my friends uses 3/11 windows - 400 dpi - 1 sens in game.

It's a complete mystery how he plays, but he's still really good lol.

Anyways... Sensitivity is purely preference, nothing more and nothing less.

you should have got a Zowie, similar shape to deathadder, intelli 3.0 and with only a 1.5mm lift off distance (lowest on the market). and if i had of replied to your original post, I'm pretty sure i would have mentioned this. or i would have jsut said buy an Intelli 3.0

but yes you're right, the list off distance on a deathadder is poooor

Im using deathadder for nearly 3 years now, and Im incredibly happy with it, just do what the guys here told u too, lower the sens, and i think ull find DA one of the best mice ever made.

Man, after 1 week you'll be used to the lift off(that in the DA you have to pull it higher than other mice), I have one for 7months and it's perfect

i did that with some of my older mice. It always worked flawless. Just make sure its see through
If its still too high just add another layer

Well you had to check WHICH DA are they recommending, because there are 3-4 versions of DA and all of them have different lift-off...
Deathadder 3G - Avago ADNS-S3668
Deathadder 3.5G - Avago ADNS-S3888
Deathadder 4G - Avago ADNS-S3988
all 3 have different sensor and ofc different lift-off.

Update firmware!
Select newest One without DC (direct control )!.

I use DA 900DPI @ 500Hz @ m_raw 1 @ sens 0,75 and it works perfectly :) [ + razer gholiatus alfa control ]

The mouse is meant to be used at 500Hz as polling rate and it's default CPi rate (900(?)), otherwise it's interpolating.
