not sure if it's just individual server issues or if it's the actual HLTV.org servers but games i've watched haven't really been 'laggy' but it seems as if there was very little data for the hltv proxy to actually record to, making the relation between firing/deaths or nade throwing/leaving the player seem quite delayed? not really sure how to explain it to be honest but it's often a hassle watching a demo when you can't really see the kills happen how they're meant to be shown.
for example you'll see a player with a nade/flash/smoke out, then you will see the gren leave the player, THEN you'll notice the movement of the player's view.
another is when you see a player tap-fring. the gun shot/animation will occur then slightly later you'll notice the actual recoil of the whole screen. not hugely a problem but it does get quite annoying when a person understands there is better quality from other HLTV demos.
finally what bothers me is the actual kills. you will watch an awper kill someone who is running around a corner, they'll fire their awp shot, then suddenly an enemy will slide in and appear dead AFTER the shot has fired! perfect example is the gux ace clip from last week's EPS match on inferno, where enemies appear to just show up in his xhair when they're dead.
so, if any hltv demo / broadcaster buffs can help either me or the HLTV recording staff (if that's the case) to get some better quality HLTV demos, then please let us know - it's going to help out more than me, i can be sure.
i totally agree with the thread creator.. often i face the same problem [missing portions of otherwise complete demo]
Its fine if you miss the portion of demo where Cts kill all Terrorists and then defuse the bomb ... but sometimes whole portion of CT vs T bomb-site battle vanishes
#5 that is annoying too, but sometimes it's just the buggy-ness of the HLTV server and the way slow-motion doesn't work properly any more, so it's a valve thing to fix, not so much hltv.org's responsibility.
