install the lastest driver..if problem still their... buy a new one =D

I don't know. It's kinda weird, because it only double-click out-game. It never happens in-game... But it's _so_ annoying! :(

have the same problem...... was annoying as hell..... i guess its coz u cant double click that fast in-game............. but trust me in a few weeks its gonna happen with pistols in-game too (started with me almost a month back, double taps pistols almost destroying your usp-kills).......... better to get it replaced while u still can (under warranty!).......... its got nothing to do with drivers imo.... probably some mechanical problems with the button switch coz it started only after 5-6 months of heavy duty rough usage for me...... just curious how much HZ u using on the mouse?

It's actually happening in-game too.. I can't hold the nades pins out, otherwise it's throwed by itself.. and it's shoting with pistols by itself too.
Well, I'm using 500hz. But I've tried both 125-1000 and still had the problem.

haha... know the feeling.... just had to get it replaced, when my teammates got tired of all the team-nades and mistimed flashes :P.... u've had the mouse for how long?

Around 8 months now. But I've used it for like, 3 months. I've had a Zowie 1.1, and a Zowie EC2 since I bought my Kinzu.. Btw, I've bought the 1.1 and the EC2 because I got tired of my problematic kinzu - I love the mouse, though. The sad thing is that clicking issue :(

it's a hardware malfunction, better contact steelseries asap. I have the same problem btw with my xai after about a year

My mouse is double-clicking. For example, if I wanna open some software, it clicks twice (open, and close) got it? I can't explain exactly 'cause my English doesn't help. But, if someone has the same problem as me, the person knows what I'm talking about. :DD:D

Try to download latest drivers... Works for me...

i understand..its kinda annoying cause if at tyms if i wna drag something smewhere it opens up the folder/software..its really anooying..no driver problem.juts gta get it replaced..but it dznt happen all the time..hence getting it replaced under warranty might just be a problem..but if ur having the porblem all the tym get it replaced :D

decrease Double-Click Speed (6 Default)

i do nothing :)

i just bought a kinzu and 2 weeks later this problem occured. then i do nothing, but it fixed automatically after a week. weird huh?

Yes. It's double-clicking in every PC it's plugged-in.

I bought my kinzu 4 months ago, and nothing happened except the cable. I put the cable under my monitor to fix it (it works like a cable holder, like Razer Armadillo) ... and sometimes it disconnects as USB device, and after 10sec it connects ... but it seems I'm lucky, the cable is interrupted at the beggining .. so, I think I can repare it...

try to make out your mouse , maybe something get inside

Does anyone know how to fix it? :D

I've downloaded the latest drivers, and my click speed is set 1/11 @ windows settings.

I guess it's really a random thing, try it in another pc or sth, mine hasn't got any trouble while connected, but sometimes when I switch to the PC, it gets extra accel, nothing to do with this double-clicking issue but trying on other PC might (or might not) help.

had the same problem and i installed the software from 1.1
and I have returned to install the software of the kinzu

And the problem went away

i have the same problem, but the best part is that double-clicking only happen in 500hz mode. 125hz looks fine. still looking for solution... =(

Yes, someone told me about the 500hz thing. The thing is: I've changed to 125hz, and 1000hz - still had the same issue.
It's pretty sad, because I really like this mouse.

if its not a software issue, then its hardwware issue.. Either too much dust under your left click or loosened spring.. get it replaced !

the thing is.. you must run it every time you start your pc -- put it in the startup folder or something

dude i use this software for my SS Ikari Optical but when i use the software my mouse cursor skip my movement or in CS my crosshair jumping 2-3 times in 1 round :X

I had the same problem the first 2 weeks and then everything returned to normal again! i dont know how but it is perfect now :O

steel series mouse or any mouse would mostly last for about 2 years at least depending on how much you use your mouse."left clicking" in general. The best way to fix this is by removing your mouse and putting a mechanical switches. Both my xai and 3.0 already died

I have just opened up my kinzu and cleaned it with some petrol you can use thinner with cotton and clean up the click buttons. Its working fine now :)

its not mouse problem imo, it just your piece... my mouse (ec1) did it too and it stopped, just click it out or find someone that can open the mouse and fix the contact

I have fix for kinzu's double click without any mousefix.exe (this fix cause me sometimes random click in CS :O like I have flash in hand and automatically sometimes throw) etc.

U have to take a piece of paper, so small, roll it twice, and plant under the front of left button like on this imgs:

hi guys kinzu have two negative points :

1- random annoying double click : u can fix it

2- positive accel ( annoying too ) we can't fix it

Found it.

Open Run and type Regedit, then go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Right Click on the right window and "New -> String Value", Value Name: UseDoubleClickTimer

Right Click on UseDoubleClickTimer, Modify and change the value to "1"

ive had this problem on my 1.1 , 3.0 has that annoying scroll and the kinzu is ok and i have it for a while .. didnt have a problem yet besides replacing the rubber glides

Hmm I bought SS Kinzu a while ago and tbh I don't seem to have any troubles with it only thing is that I don't like the cable ^^ it is not straight since the string or whatever it is is like C somewhere :(

this has been a classic case with the kinzu...
I am also facing the same problem and I know a lot of guys with the same problem on kinzu..
the only thing u can do is tog get it replaced if still under warranty..

I had the same problem and the fix (http://www.mediafire.com/?gm8kjljo4ljbr24) resolved it but now it's the middle button's turn... It's exactly the same problem, if someone who is able to edit the patch could add the middle button's fix in it, he will be very very helpfull. I'll try but i don't know how to do that x).
