i use accel too but my sens is lower 1/11 windows 1.46666 ingame and 1000 dpi on my zowie Ec2=)

Change it to 6/11 and 500DPI will be better for CS.

With my CRT 120hz feels smoother :) But I had 120hz lcd some time ago and it was smoother with 100 than 120.

When I used to play with CRT, it also felt smoother @ 100hz. Now I play with a 120HZ LCD, it's still smoother @ 100hz. :o

are you mad ? to play on 120hz he needs switch developer to 1 ... but developer is a very buggy command

You can play on 120Hz with 100fps you don't need bad 120fps in-game for that Hz.

best setting for you is what you're comfortable with!!! so test different setting (legal one) and find out which setting suits you the best.... :)

My settings(most of them) are the same since 2002 if you wanna try them no problem

Monitor - NEC CRT (100hz)
In-game Sensitivity - 2.25
Windows Sensitivity - default(6/11)
Mouse Hertz - 500hz
Mouse DPI - 400dpi
Mouse Model - Microsoft Mouse Optical 1.1SteelSeries
Mousepad - Everglide Titan Monstermat
zoom-sensitivity - 0.777
acceleration - Off (-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms)
mouse fix - Yes
resolution - 640x480
crosshair_size - Large (Green)
weapon_hand - left handed

+ -freq100 so those are my basic settings if you try them and you like them sent me a msg thanks

I think all zoom_sens in >0.8 and <1 are good if you training without change that at every bad scope.

i play with 2.25 so i figured .5 lower than my ak sens would be great.. 2.25 x 0.777 = 1.75 of real sens i wanted just a little bit lower than my real sens

Haha :D It's from a private config that supposedly smooths out and optimizes your game, it seemed to work just fine so I stuck with it ;p Same goes for all the launch options, even though I haven't got the slightest clue about what 90% of them actually do.

I don't know if these are just mouse settings or normal settings, but I'm going to ask anyway.

Are settings like gamma 999, brightness 999, and tracerspeed (using tracerspeed 100, for example) illegal during LAN tournaments?

As for other settings, what differences does it make if i use
1) viewsize 110
2) cl_timeout 60
3) hpk_maxsize 0.004

remove kinzu glides as well if you are using qck+
and resolution = 800*600...gives you even smaller cross hair
with decent texture
