i think you people need to look past mvp awards. if ur looking for consistency, i think u need not look past markeloff. even when get_right wasnt performing at the start of the year, markeloff was owning. and when navi went into a slump, markeloff never underperformed to his standards.

I don't care if you think Trace did nothing?.. I think he did, and i did see alot of games this year. Trace was consistanly good. Every single game... I never saw him fall through. I have seen Neo, Markeloff, Get_right make some bad games or "less impressive games this year"... but not Trace... Yes Friis, Karrigan did play very well but Friis is kinda same story as "Markeloff G_R and NEO" he also had some games that was less impressive. Karrigan just started to shine in mouse lately, don't think he showed his full potential before gob b joined. Thats why i still vote trace as the player who never failed to impress me. Don't really care about your opinion.

I'm not saying that GTR was bad, he was clearly top 3 this year but it's crystal clear that Neo is the best player this year because he has been performing good in every tournament and has been named the M.V.P in almost every tournament the Poles attended which he got because he was simply the best player at those tournament and meant most of all players for their respective teams.

he carried whole team at beggining, was average mid and now hes back as a beast, so when hes on fire (most of tournaments) they're doing great if not they're top 3-4 anyway and hes still not bad and winning clutches etc, gtr was amazing too but he wasnt the one who carried SK whole year, in ESC since 3 tournaments taz is top2 when neo is underperfoming taz is doing great job, sk is allstar team like even if f0rest is underperforming they still got gtr/delpan/face etc

this is about the best player of the year,not about the most important player for his team and gtr has stable awesome performance whole year...

and mvps are little bit misleading because mvp isnt best player of the tournament but the most valuable player(and the most mvp titles are from the winning team).so i dont think that the best player of the year should be player with the most mvp titles(but thats only my opinion)

mvp is not like from winning team but top 2, i agree sometimes guy who took 3-4th place is better, like karrigan when mouz placed 3-4 dont remmbebr, got better stats then top players from top2, but its how is done.. anyway its not that bad actually, couse they shaned in most important matches like finals more then group stage what is more important for team/player, couse in group stages half of teams are randoms and sometimes you can got 1.50k/d and the other guy 1.12 and the 1st one will fail hard finals, when the other gonna carry

Markeloff play good yes but not very good. NaVi this year wasnt so great and they dont won so many tournaments. GTR is for me better than him coz he is just fragmachine.

Comparing him to NEO who always played the best from the team (maybe TaZ was little better than him in single tournaments). His skill/brain is just unbelievable.
FX/AGAiN/ESC were almos on EVERY tournament this year TOP3. NEO has already 3 MVP titles, now after wcg it will be his 4th.
NEO was BEAST especially in first half this year when FX attending on every tourney and guyz dont have money problems.

best individual player in 2011 : markeloff, no doubts. He always perform great, even when Na`Vi plays shitty. He is super stable player. When you say Neo, you are thinking of a team performance in 2011. Off course G5 was great this year, but Neo didn't perform so insane like Markeloff. For me in the WCG finals Loord, pasha and kuben played much better than NEO.

Do you watch fianls ? I guees not. Neo was the best from the team.
And he always performance great.
Plus he had already 3 MVP titles and now will be 4th for sure - that title told us that he was the best on those tournaments.

Once in a while markel comes up huge, but for me not near delpish spectacular style and reflexes. For Spectators CS 1.6 is pretty much all about putting a great show. I dont care if Delpan plays with much smaller margins and taking the huge risks, for me thats the beauty of it - the "unexpected" angles, the movement combined with those midair duckjump shots and stunning "one in a million" haxxshots.
The apprehended inconistency in general of Delpans performence is linked with that. Just some examples from my perspective why Markeloff is the more consistant.

If you'd asked me this question face to face, I'd be speaking really slowly right now.

Threat has transformed a group of average players without any major achievements into a world-class team capable of eliminating ESC and Navi from one of the biggest tournaments of the year.

Carn lost his top two fraggers (one of them arguably the greatest player ever to play the game), had to build a new team from scratch, and still managed to win two of 2011's majors.

Robban, Zeus and Kuben/Taz have strong, experienced lineups that would have done well even with mediocre tactics. (Yes, things were different for Zeus in 2010...)

This isn't rocket science. Next time, please think things through before posting.
