Government decision shuts down LAN

According to readmore, the famous German LAN event Convention-X-Treme has been cancelled by the organisation following a controversial decision by local authorities.
The event was due to take place in Karlsdorf-Neuthard, a municipality in the state of Baden-Württemberg, from August 28 to 30.
However, it has now been confirmed that the event has been cancelled after the local authorities decided not to allow the so-called 'killer games' Counter-Strike: 1.6 and Warcraft III to be played at the LAN party. Since the organisation had no way to control this, it ultimately decided to cancel the whole event.
This decision follows Germany's strict rules on violent videogames after the school shooting in Weinnenden in March, which cost the lives of 16 people. Earlier this year, several of ESL's Intel Friday Night Games had already been cancelled for the very same reasons.
The Convention-X-Treme organisation has confirmed that it is currently looking for a different location to host to the event. In the meantime, everyone that had paid to attend the event will be refunded.

Another point, why dont they find out how dangerous fire-arms are falling in the hands of young children...y cant they make strict and vigilant law against possesion of firearms...

There may be people that play these games because it allows them to shoot other people in the head. These person may not be mentally stable and may be dangerous but they don't go to a LAN.

The stupid germans should ban all guns in their country. That would solve the problem IMMEDIATELY. I'm surprised that no one has even mention abt it. Games dun kill, but real guns do.

i newer saw somebody killing a man with a game.
so there is no "killer game". its an "action game" or a "3d shooter".
