DrastyK joins Unibet as coach

Team Unibet have confirmed former x6tence veteran José María "DrastyK" Blasco as their coach.

Blasco has been out of action since calling time on his gaming career in August after nine years of competitions.

He has now accepted to guide the Valencia-based squad called Team Unibet, who will be on show at GameGune in Bilbao next week.

"The truth is that I never thought I would return to the electronic sports," Blasco told the team's website. "But without a doubt, the opportunity that Team Unibet offered me was one I could not refuse.

"After leaving gaming 11 months ago, I have now returned with more desire than year, but this time in a role I never played while I was a player.

"This is a new challenge that I am sure will help me grow and will enrich the knowledge obtained throughout my career."

Team Unibet will attend Gamegune, having been drawn in Group F, where they will take on Crack Clan, Ledpc and dRu. Their roster is the following:

Omar "arki" Chakkor Feltrer
José "YuRk0" Antón Aspas
José Luis "Kulty" Canto Tortosa

I never got the concept of coaches in Counter-Strike either, I always thought if they are that great at this game and know so much that they'll be teaching the world's elite they should play themselves and it's not like a soccer or football trainer where the coach is simply to old to play him self.

But I guess it's mostly for motivation during games and events, standing behind your men and if need be, yelling at them. Maybe reading a pattern in strats the opponent is doing and feeding it to the in-game leader so he can work some counters in there.

Who knows.

or maybe the coaches in Counter-Strike it's like to know something more about tactics and know better the internacional/national teams than the players himself, and the coaches maybe don't have the skill for play in that team, just know the tactics and so on..

very good drastyk it's a old skull player. I remember times when he was be on top with x6tence.
