Earlier tonight the German team mousesports announced that they will be using a standin for World Cyber Games 2009.
The hottest event this fall is just around the corner, World Cyber Games 2009 will be starting in just eight days. The German representative mousesports, will for the event be using a standin, to be more exact, the mystical Lambda member Direnc "seraph" Öz. Roman "Roman R." Reinhardt was originally planned as the standin for the event, but Alternate denied mousesports the right to use him
To sit out World Cyber Games 2009 will be Christopher "cash" Steen, who has received a lot of negative criticism as of late - mostly about him not being good enough for the team, while also facing claims of not filling out the boots of Franz "gore" Burghardt, which he replaced this summer.
For World Cyber Games 2009, mousesports will also be using their regular sixth, Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel, as Faith "gob b" Dayik is ineligible to play, due to his Turkish citizenship. For World Cyber Games 2009, mousesports will be competing with the following lineup:
Manuel "Tixo" Makohl Navid "Kapio" Javadi Antonio "cyx" Daniloski Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel Direnc "seraph" Öz
The team also announced that Steen will be benched after the running ESL Pro Series season, seeing Chmiel back in the starting five.
In their original article however [see screenshot], readmore.de quoted unconfirmed sources saying that Chmiel might not be taking over for Steen, as Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer is seen as the perfect successor for the latter. The same sources say that clarification about Steen’s future at the team will be determined in the next few days.

would be cool to see roman in mouz. the fact is that as long as he'll play in alternate, he'll never win a big international event. and he really deserves it and is clearly good enough.
kinda surprised that they chosed seraph as the stand-in as well, sure he's a good player .. but he's really young and i thought he was turkish as well :D well, at least we can remove one team from the list of top contenders for the wcg victory...
remember gob b is the one with "special tactics", on how to lose a match in 16 rounds. What mouse needs is a radical rooster change: bring Gore back, and along with cyx build a roster with they as spine!

roman in mousesports would definitely be amazing. with roman in for cash, that could definitely be a team to compete for #1 in the world. mouz now is good, but they dont seem to have the firepower to contend with the likes of fnatic SK company.

I always hated when mouz went to WCG since they normally had to use a stand in ... this is worse since they are using two :-\ Hopefully they can still play well.
I also agree with #35 ... It seemed like cash was arguing with the Prodigal start caller gobb in Chengdu... maybe that has something to do with it.
agreed, if cyx and roman were on the same team (which would most likely be mouz... bigger org) they could be a constant top3 team. i think gob b is great as well, but i think since WCG is one of the 2 or 3 really large tournaments of the year, they should seriously have an all german lineup.
i have this thought for a while now.. i think that a german team will only get on the topdogs when mouz cyx joins team-alternate for Roman R. , maybe Kapio/Tixo to, but that's only a thought, hope to see some damage from this mouz WCG Lineup :)
It is very strange! Somehow Noa many times participated in WCG and as the name says it played the players from Norway and America! So I do not understand this decision.
fatih uncle in my opinion should play a core of resistance both very good players instead seraph resistance to self than to me gob b worse results in both Turkey and Turkish citizens gob b users to vote because you do not understand where I'm not giving resistance to self-achievement and endless mousesports seraph forever gob b turkish brothers:)
