Vatos Locos win Greek WCG qualifier

The Greek qualifier for World Cyber Games 2009 took place this weekend in Athens, where Vatos Locos managed to qualify for Chengdu.

The final stages for the qualifier were played Sunday the 1st of November, having the final four teams play out, who would represent Greece in Chengdu. It came down to the match between Vatos Locos and sys7em, where only one would qualify for the 2009 WCG event. sys7em had prior to the Grand Final shocked everyone, by defeating the other Greek giant delinquent habits.

The final went into two maps, having Vatos Locos win fairly easy, with scores 16-4 on nuke and 16-3 on train. With the victory Vatos Locos will go to Chengdu, to represent Greece.

Vatos Locos have been drawn into Group C, where they will face mTw, Power Gaming, Virtus.pro and Sequential. It will be a tough nut to crack, facing strong opponents to reach the knockout stages.

The Greek squad do however have a match record versus the defending WCG champions mTw, as they back at Samsung European Championship in 2008, managed to overcome the Danes with a 16-13 score line on dust2.

Whether it will be a rerun from 2008 versus mTw or what Vatos Locos can pull out of the hat, you will be able to see next week when World Cyber Games 2009 kicks in.

And about k1ck whell i lost all hope for them.

actually they are both at the same level.they win each other occasionaly in pediods of time.
VL has more individual skill (hacker war avel) but dh is more like a team and work as a whole,except if Hacker is in that days that can demolish every well prepared defense by himself.

Congrtz to VL and system as well though.Before this final four i didnt even heard about system.It was a huge and very well coming upset their performance.They managed to beat dh eventhough Dh didnt play their a gaming.
Lets hope new teams/talents that can do better than the previous, will appear in the near future.

I don't have problems with no one, but dude no need to call us FYROM, cuz our official reference is "Republic of Macedonia" until our governments are trying to solve the name dispute =)

Actually,most od the people in Macedonia don't have nothing against the Greeks.The only problem is our name,and because for now we are Republic of Macedonia,i don't understand why are you trying to make a problem,by calling us fyrom.As for the wcg qualifier,i also thought that DH are in better shape and that they will win easy,but...Anyway,i wish VL gl in China.

First of all,LEARN ENGLISH.Secondly,the tread is from 2009...And third,since 125 countries call us Macedonia,and just your country and few more don't,it it obviously that our name IS Macedonia.And about the cs,i'm not really sure who is better,we or the greeks,but however it's just a game,and not a political argument about our name.
