cs is a team game and one in which it's much harder to define who the most important, best, e.t.c... best in what ? In aiming, game brains, ability to clutch when it's most important, or all these at once ? Or, perhaps, in achievements ? Besides, the importance of a good coordinator/strat-caller can far exceed any aimer, even if he's very consistent and picks amazing kills constantly. IMO it would be a fun, but too much subjective poll.

cogu - Best AWP of the Decade

Before cogu went to source, he was the most important player in mibr, his AWP was ALWAYS a threat to other teams, and even vs the best in the world cogu managed to keep hitting his shots, also after his return to 1.6 he was a terrifying player to go up against and a world class AWPer.

glow - Asian Player of the Decade

Many members of this site will probably vote for solo/jungle on this one, and I'm not saying its a bad choice, however glow is in my eyes the best Asian player,as since his time in Lunatic-Hai and now with the WMF squad he has been one of the key players for the Korean in order to win those big matches.

fnx - South American Player of the Decade

fnx, South American #1 in my eyes, sure you can say cogu is the #1, but fnx has always been my favourite SA player, a overall good player his movement is amazing and so is his aim, I am still disappointed that cogu and fnx had a fight..they are basically the only hope for SA CS to win big tournaments again.

fRoD - North American Player of the Decade

Not much doubt in this one, I was thinking ksharp,shaguar maybe even n0thing or fRoD, the thing that made me decide is that fRoD is still standing his ground vs the best in the world whilst the other 2 have put CS behind them and n0thing is relatively new to the big scene.

SpawN - European Player of the Decade

As with North America I had a few players in my mind, but there is no doubt that SpawN is the best player Europe has ever had when you hold it over 10 years, his achievements list is amazing, when in his best shape he was almost untouchable.

elemeNt - Best Player of the Decade

I could've gone for SpawN but what made me decide to not do this is that Ola has (together with SpawN actually) been dominant over so many years, in so many environments (like 8 teams?)...but the most important thing to make this decision is when he made his come back earlier this year, he was able to get a Norwegian team 3rd in a big tournament, which made me realise how good of a player he is.

For me it's obvious - first years of CS - HeatoN, now - neo. HOWEVER, SpawN is the one who was there on the very top throughout all these years so he deserves it.

my vote : AWP of the decade : Cogu by a long shot ... he's the only amazing ts-sided awper that i've ever seen and dominated a long time (lately there's Sunde) his awp had a great impact in mibr !!!
btw, i want to give my opinion about the voting referring to the awards, i dont find it reasonable that America has the North Award and South Award, while Europe only has one award, considering that the amount of talents in Europe was definitely much bigger than America and the whole world in general ! don't really understand that part :/

Now check it out, A lot of people have been complaining about the whole "Name is the best eu player, but this other EU player is the best in the decade you're stupid." But riddle me this. Say if you Say best players (In order of how HLTV put it) shaGuar, Jungle, cogu, method, SpawN, solo. (Not my picks just random names that popped up in my head) Isn't this controversial? So basically, if the players you choose, besides best awp in the world, isn't the best player of the decade your whole decision is basically a contradiction. If you state that solo is the best asian player then say Jungle is the best player of the decade this is a controversy, so basically Your BPotD has to be on your list twice. North American Player of the Decade: Bloodshot/fRod

Both in the scene for a long time, though bloodshot quitted. fRod is just very good with the sniper, having plenty achievements with compexity gaming, and continues now with EG. Also he has won the best player of the year award in 2006 if I am not wrong, and has been nominated 2 more times.
And bloodshot was just awesome with ak and m4, if you ask me, a player that I`ve missed.

European Player of the Decade: element/Neo

Amazing planner, amazing skilled player. These players are the ones that change the counterstrike scene.
The thing about Neo is that he has been achieved with the best counter strike player 2 times, and continues dominating also this year. He is very skilled, and a freaking mindplayer.

Um, decade started in 2001 and ends in 2010. You are one year too early. You see, there is no such thing as "year 0". Millenium started in year no. 1., thus year 2000 is the last year of its decade.
