SK Gaming the new Real Madrid - fnatic the new Barcelona? Na`Vi better than ever?

Hello guys!
Lidda here with another blog and a new upgraded nickname :-)
Some people may know me cuz I'm very active here on HLTV.org and I've done some blogs here and there before..
Now let's get to the point.
There has been going on some changes in the top teams this month and I'm writing this blog with some inspiration from roman's blog so thank you roman'!
I'm going to discuss about 3 things in this blog.
First.
As we all know Na`Vi has done some changes in the team for IEM Kiev using starix as the IGL while giving Zeus the role as a madfragger(?). I was pretty sceptic to this change even if starix never reached his true potential in 2011. I still thought it would be a bad move using him as the IGL because I thought it would be hard for him being the IGL and being the 2nd AWPer like he was and still amazingly is. In my opinion Zeus was the best player that could be the IGL and frag much and I thought they should've kept him having that roll.
The tournament is over and I'm still shocked by Na`Vi's performance at IEM Kiev, in a positive way though. I would never, ever think that Zeus had the capacity to be such of a madfragger like he was at IEM Kiev and it was a both shocking and amazing thing to see. The fact that he could frag that much and dominate so much was just so shocking to me and that starix could be the IGL and still 2nd AWP. With one hand down and the other one on my heart, I have to admit and have to say that he deserved the M.V.P Award without a freakin' doubt because he was AMAZING.
Second.
I think that the whole community was shocked about the news that pita would retire not just from fnatic but from CS 1.6 entirely. I think that it was a wake-up call for pita when he first got kicked last year. He mentioned something about a secret, I still don't know what it is but he improved his game dramatically. He kept his spots excellent, had important frags and just fragged like never before. Then we have IEM Kiev. I think everyone except the haters and fanboys know that players can't perform their best and live up to their expectations ALL THE TIME. It's impossible. Friis had a bad tournament, Delpan had a bad tournament(I'll talk about that later) and so did pita. There have been some rumours that fnatic did kick pita and that the "I'm gonna retire" story is just a cover-up. From what I've seen from pita for the time I've been following him in the scene, I don't think he would go with that "I'm gonna retire" story if he really did kick because from what I've seen, he's not that type of a person. So good luck to pita and the future and I hope he can some day find the motivation to make a comeback and entertain us once again.
Soon after pita's departure there were speculations about who would join fnatic. Many said MODDII and others said trace. As we all know, MODDII was the fifth one.
I think MODDII is a top 3 class aimer and one of the best players in the world. His form has been pretty damn good these last matches he played with Lions. I believe in this fnatic line-up and if Gux and Xizt continue to play like they did at IEM KIEV, and if Friis play like he did at DHW11, we might have a top 1 team ladies and gentlemen.
This move was IMO better for fnatic than bringing in trace.
1. I believe that MODDII can perform as good as trace, he might not bring as much as trace to the table but he can perform as good as trace in the areas where he really is one of the best in.
2. He speaks Danish and Swedish which means he doesn't have to worry about the communication with Friis.
Nice to see MODDII playing for a team where he has players that can match his skill, I think it's going to be very, very interesting now.
Third.
Today shocking news struck us AGAIN. Trace joins SK Gaming while Delpan got kicked. This is probably one of the biggest "transfers" in the CS 1.6 history.
If the reason behind this move(kicking Delpan) was because he played poor at IEM KIEV then I think SK are sooo stupid. What? Just cuz Delpan didn't have a good tournament he has to be kicked? Great! Now kick Friis because he played less better than Delpan and they are both top 3 best players with the AWP. There has to be more things involved concerning this move because I don't think Delpan was the weakest link at all, just look how much they accomplished when he joined. SK is becoming the new Real Madrid in football which I totally hate, I was even controversial about their move when they stole Delpan from fnatic.
About trace. There's not much to say, one of the best players in the world not just today but overall. He's one of the most complete players if not the most complete player in the world. The thing I'm concerned about is how long it's going to take for them to adapt to him not speaking Swedish so good. I think Delpan's a better AWPer than trace for sure and it's going to be interesting to see how trace is going to AWP, I mean, we saw how freakin' good he can be when he doesn't play as an AWPer when mTw had Sunde. Then when he took over the AWP roll after Sunde he didn't play as good as he did when he was AWPing. I think it would've been smarter to switch trace with face if they were going to switch any of the players. face is probably the mest support player in the world but I think bringing trace in for face and keeping Delpan as the AWPer and let trace be the madfragger he is would be a better choice for SK.
This move makes me sick and it's not just because of me being a fan of Delpan. Him being kicked just tells me that they DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO FOR HIM, IF THEY CAN HELP HIM IN SOME WAY. If Delpan felt that he couldn't play as good because of his unmotivation, he would've left but he didn't, maybe it was because he still felt that something could trigger him to get that motivation back. It's like the pita case, he felt that he didn't have motivation so he left, he didn't get kicked.
It just seems like SK is like Real Madrid, they bring in all the best players to their team and think that they will perform the best because of that. Just look at the changes they've made through out their history. To me, fnatic seems like Barcelona, taking in new players that never had a chance to compete for the big titles and making them to top players. They really think before doing something, they look what they need for their team, what kind of player they need. SK just brings in top players and trust me, NEO, f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, trace and markeloff in one team would be a BAD, BAD line-up.
Last but not least, I think 2012 will be a CRAZY year with all the new line-ups and tournaments. I think CS 1.6 has more years to go before dying. Who knows, maybe Delpan and pita form some kind of ex-MYM team? It isn't impossible.

trace is way more consistent than delpan with all of the weapons, its more usefull since u have trace with a colt/ak on nuke ;).

Delpan, pita and manne never played for a real top team, neither did manne and fnatic took them to their team to give them a chance. Same thing with GeT_RiGhT, he had a bad period in SK-Gaming and got kicked so he joined fnatic where he became the best player in the world. f0rest played in Begrip which is a team that has produced many Swedish talents today. Fnatic gave him the chance and look at him today.

I agree with u.... Barcelona is a team built on years n years of trust developed by playing together and have become almost undefeatable... Impossible to compare a CS team like fnatic to Barcelona <3

I read it all, and I have to agree with everything. This year is going to be epic, maybe it can make a ¿comeback? of 1.6 in prizes and sponsors stuff.
About fnatic, when cArn has skilled players, his strats and style are almost perfect, so if MODDII plays as good as he been playing last year, fnatic top 1 this year.

Real Madrid buy all the best players available. So does SK Gaming(f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, Delpan and now trace). Barcelona buy players that are needed for the team not just because they are the best. So does fnatic, they bring in players that are needed for the team and make them into top players.

No, you are the one who doesnt get the point. what were these players i mentioned before joining fnatic? thats right, mid skill players. after they left or about some time they converted into top players and one of the best in the world. Thats what fnatic does :) manne was the only one who could make such an impact but he had few time and carn kicked him not because of skill but because of his personality. ;)

I don't know why zeus' performance shocked you cuz he was madfragger together with edward in previous teams. When they created navi a lot of people were sceptical about him being igl but he got experience from best CIS igls (kane and lex :D) and shocked them. And now he got back to fragging. :)

fnatic and sk with new lineups, navi with mixed up roles, and i am very excited what esc has to say about these changes... will be a very good year i guess :D and very nice blog! enjoyed it :)
delpan lost motivation to play. it's really good reasont to kick player. and he lost his skills when he stopped been motivated.
there is no reason to kick face. everybody in the team loves him. he speak danish, he is really good defender, he does usually dirty jobs in-game + he does his job, he praccs a lot according to GTR he still plays gathers little bit + pracctice wars.

You can't lose your skill just cuz you're unmotivated. He was unmotivated but when a player is unmotivated you do everything you can that could help him, SK didn't do that.
face is a good player but so is Delpan? And face didn't perform good either like Delpan.

Sometimes when you are unmotivated, along with your performance level you bring another things to your team. For example, if you don't want to play, when you have to, you will have your entire team focused on the games when you're such a bored guy, playing like it was a gather, and that can make your teammates get mad at you, because they're seen someone who is not delivering his 100% while you are playing your best. So, this is called bad chemistry.
We don't know what SK has done, maybe they tried it and delpan said to them that there were nothing they could do. Or maybe they didn't try anything, because trace as free agent is a chance that maybe wont happen again and SK didn't want to let any other team to catch him.

I dont agree with you about trace awp. When trace replaced sunde with awp, he played like always, he was a monster in every single map and always had a good performances. For me SK didnt needed changes, but with trace, well, they will be the best team in 2012 for sure.

I don't get it. You say you hate SK for changing players so much and still you're good with kicking face instead of Delpan. You must be stupid if you think that organisation says "Delpan low stats,pick up trace" and everyone in team just accept it. Organisation can say only "bad results,do something",then the team talks about what to change and obviously they changed Delpan since he lost some motivation and started working.
Like I said. I think the line-up(forp, gtr, face, robban and delpan) should be like it was and they never should've changed any player. But everyone blames Delpan for all the bad results and in my opinion it was because of him but also because of face. Delpan never got the credit he deserved in his time with SK. They are overlooking what he accomplished just because he trolls etc.

I never compared CS and football on how good the teams are just how they act because it's very similar.

It was unprofessional because they never told the fnatic organization anything about it. They have to contact the organization first to see what they think and want to do about the situation.

First of all, in football it's pretty much easier to give chance to young players than in CS, cause a football team consists of 11 players, and you can replace a player whenever you want.
In CS, if you have 1 rookie player, it's 1/5 of the team. In football, it would be 2/10 (think about 2 rookies in Barcelona playing against RM). Or if in CS you have 2 rookies, it would be 4/10 in football, think about it.

With my little experience in both, I prefer to have trace, gtr and f0rest than having manne, moddii and xizt. But in football, I prefer to have Neymar, Ganso and Lucas than having many many others experienced players.

actually fnatic ofc always brought skilled players,but its only that:skilled players and when playing in international tournaments thats not enough..thats why cArn is so famous because there are hundreds of skilled players,but skilled players able to play consistent @international soil and actually win tournaments,you can count very few
i think sk have a problem since walle retires, they need a sniper like him, but there's nobody who can do it like walle ;-)

I find it very rough that navi is the best team forever, SK and ESC are teams with tremendous career if not those who have been playing longer, I think navi like everyone is going through their "best years" Sk as ever step on their own and ESC for theirs, or as well mTw, but every team goes through bad years and navi has not yet had their own, clearly 2011 was a lousy year for navi, but they are a young team with a career in freshly home so you do not have the years wear sk or sc, but I wonder navi winning all yield as 2010 between now and the next 12 years? are realistic and do not think fans as children but as real people objective.
I'll like to remind you that ESC was the best team last year, despite NaVi going through their besy years.
