Anonymous against ACTA
2012-02-03 12:40
I think this post is worth a blog since ACTA is a global topic in our days.

Today I found on my facebook page this video :
www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sCHi1Zw-YI

Its a message from ANONYMOUS to Greece.
Well what I find strange and diffrent in this video is that its refering to policites and not "internet" like all the other videos before.also it includes police against people actions.

I would like to take the chance and open a discussion about ANONYMOUS.
Do You think in countries like Greece where internet is not so imporant they could get recognision by the government?
How strong can those "self-called" hackers of justice be ?
Do we normal people have to fear them sooner or later?
What is ACTA exactlly doing ? and why did noone know about it before ? 1 month ago all those things like pipa acta sopa started and noone knew them.
ANONYMOUS didnt know too ? or wikileaks ? should they atleast infrom us if they knew ?

anywayz i am kind of disappionted by greece and the world.
we humen beings are not imporant anymore.
asking my self why we still exist......
greece is hopeless
and many will follow
hope to get some serious answer with atleast some education style.
trolling and so on is not appricieted...
thank you for your time

Anonymous are not just groups of hackers, they are also regular people like you and me. anyone can join 'em. It is not like they want to control the www, they want to defend it.

Politicians (government) and corporations on the other hand are trying to expand their already monumental control over regular people. they control the media and now they want to control the internet.

We got to stop this to get global or we will end up like China or Cuba, where everybody FEARS their government (and the laws get passed without peoples consent), even to the point that they cant help a 2 YEAR OLD after the child got hit by a van right at a MARKET street.

http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/events/toddler-hit-a..

and I say We because south american countries copy everything from europe and the USA.

Man, i respect your pov. But i think that every dictatorship brings the speech of self defence against the rich and powerful, specially down here in south america.
My thought is simple, today they are defendig us, but who knows until when? If they can disrespect the law in order to defend us, who is gonna make them stop when they do it for themselves or whoever else?
They pourposes really seem "pure" now, but so did Stalin's, Hitler's, Mussolini's and others'.
Again, i'm not comparing Anonymous to Hitler or whatsoever, i'm just saying that things might get obscure if we follow this line of "disrespect the law when is about defending us" thought...

I agree that things might get out of hand for idea that anyone can be anonymous. I also think that DDoS websites is definitely a bad idea overall. But cmon, if we keep thinking that everything new might be bad we deserve to keep using the same old ass system that allows politicians to be controlled by corporations.

We need to start working as a whole towards the ending of poverty and ignorance, I think the freedom of the internet is the best way we got to keep advancing towards a better future.

If DDoSing some government websites is making people realise the situation we are in and with that changing the mind of some sellout politicians, I am willing to support Anonymous as long as their intentions are good.

Yes, it might sound a little too conservative, but i have the opinion that we should change whatever we find wrong via political pressure, protests, show politicians we won't vote for those who want to shut us up, rip us off and so on... Not by breaking rules.

Anonymous is an idea, not a group of hackers. Anyone can be anon.
2012-02-03 13:04:22
this action is just symbolic.People cant change the world via computers.
2012-02-03 13:16:40
oh yes they can
2012-02-03 15:03:36
Oh, and don't forget protests. These people, who call themselves Anonymous, they aren't all that hacking and stuff. They also are encouraging people to try and change something. And i think, that these protests will catch up a snowball-effect, and then there might be some changes or even revolutions :>

That's just my opinion :>
2012-02-03 16:59:35
Maybe not whole world, but you can change a lot of things today.

most countries in EU ACCEPTED ACTA however germany and few others didn't
In May we'll know what will happen
If Germany and those other countries doesn't accept acta then we will have no acta:)

2012-02-05 03:49:57
correct me its in progress. sry
2012-02-05 03:51:44
It's signed by 22 states but some of them (Slovakia, Germany etc) aren't going to ratify that in June. After this protests we will see how many countries are on ACTA side.

where did you read that?
why do you think they protest if germany didnt signed? hu?

it was signed as a EU decision. now it has to pass the local country law(example germany: bundestag). and thats the point where it might be ratify or not into the laws. thats right.
but since germany is a big part of the eu commision. i dont think these protests will go any far. lets see

They have to build new prisons cuz everybody, i mean EVERYboDY has downloaded and will download an mp3,movie etc
2012-02-11 10:51:53
They are not going to arrest everyone, but they will shotdown your internet if you have any P2P software on your PC, after all they can search your history of downloads, what u have on your HDD etc. They will chase only bigger crimes. But lets hope that Acta will not be ratified in June.
2012-02-12 15:58:25
if ACTA means close facebook i think it's ok, facebook kills internet and in our country kids are really retards and abuse to much of facebook. If they close also other site like youtube, google, wikipedia is shit, but close facebook would be ok for me, fuck facebook and other SOCIAL NETWORK.
2012-02-12 16:18:36
it's not only about fb.. ACTA says no to you, if you just quote anything, if the author does not say, that you're aloud to do it.. and ACTA says also no, if you upload a video anywhere with backgroundmusic, cause of copyright etc. ... these are just two examples of the whole senseless "thinking" of ACTA
