Counter-Strike 1.6 recoil control [My thoughts and opinion]

So uhhmm I’m not that great of an aimer, nor a tactical person. I am also not a skilled player, but one thing I’ve learned from playing and spending hours upon hours of some part of my life is recoil. I am always amazed when professional counter-strike players or anybody who has good aim when they would frag from close range and get 3-4 kills and long range head shots. To me, these were obstacles that I have yet to pass. Considering the fact that I take my time to analyze and asked the ‘How to control recoil’ question on the gotfrag forums hasn’t got me to anywhere to be honest. Probably I’m just not fit for the game, but since I’m writing here anyway you might as well hear me out.

First things first, when you shoot, the bullet doesn’t exactly go to the middle of the crosshair. It doesn’t have a specific point where it will always hit. It always goes through in between the 4 lines of the crosshair. Having that said, the first bullet could go directly in the middle of the crosshair, to the upper, lower, left and right side of the crosshair line. However, the 2nd and 3rd bullet would follow the first bullet going diagonally to the left or diagonally to the right which I still can’t master for some reason. This normally happens when your bursting, but when your tapping it’s a different story. The bullets just go straight and does move diagonally a bit but just a little. Spraying does the same thing but after the 2nd(ak) or 4th(m4a1), it goes crazy. Sometimes it goes up to the left first to the right then to the left again or the opposite way. Sometimes it forms a number 9 pattern. You can try and ‘feel’ the recoil of your gun and move your mouse in the opposite direction to control your recoil. Hope that helps..

recoil control:
-> join create game
-> choose nice wall
-> start spraying into the wall(don't let go)
-> do this untill entire clip goes into one mini circle

recoil can have many factors, you can control it, but you need to be in a good server to see the result, lan servers are diferent from internet servers, train in dm and go to lan, you few the diference

I have rarely seen a player emphasising so much on the recoil..well there are quite many factors to get apt recoil control..just try to keep your aim stable while you shoot..dont shake/hover your mouse while tapping..talk to a friend of yours,and watch his game right in front of your eyes,and try to extract the qualities he has got..

CPU is really important for CS, put 4GHz 1 core processor for CS and you will be master of recoil.

also the temperature as i noticed, my game always feels like slowmotion in summer even with 100 fps. it runs very slowed down. i think my cpu gets too hot but it says 55°C

i only have speedfan, but in cs it feels slowed down like playing on 60fps instead of 100, even if i have 100 fps. also in Dota2 when big teamfights happen i get slowmotion effects and big delay in response time, like i click and takes about 2 seconds until my hero moves... still with 80+ fps oO

i scanned my temperatures while playing and the highest was "core" with 55°C and my GPU was at 52°C. the other ones below 40

Recoil online is random as unless you have good net and/or are in a good server. Its the most annoying thing about online cs. Your better off just tapping or small bursts even at close range online if u have crap net

depends on the SERVER that you play IMO when i play in a few servers my recoil "goes to fly" but if i play on the SERVERS that i have in "favourites" it's going great cause i add to favourites only good servers for play mix and pcw ;)

thats the beauty of 1.6. if you are smart and have experience, you gonna kill everyone on 10fps and noobs like you who are changing cfg's and equipment everyday will cry that someone is cheating because his bullets are hiting you.

You can't use large crosshair like medium. Otherwise you will never get headshots. You can only shot the chest side. You need to aim your cross a bit up. It looks like you're aiming to air

Change your CPU to 2 cores or 1, but with 4GHz speed and you will shoot like in CoD.

I got some tip for you, if you have an m4a1 and you want to kill someone who is far away, spray like 5-8 bullets, sometimes you get lucky and take a HS, and with AK always shoot 2-4 bullets. That is the only tip I can give you... And train alot.

Sorry but 1 burst tap is worse than spraying 5-8 bullets with first on the head with m4a1 about ak47 1 burst tap and 2-4 bullets are equal method.

Btw. everyone has own style of shooting.

Nope because 5-8 burst is horrible since everybullet will not hit but tapping is better cuz if you making it i good timing then all the bullets will hit.

1.hit 3 bullets with AK 47 along with a continuous movement of 2-3 millimeters down from the original crosshair position, this will ensure that bullets land very close to the initial position, now drag the mouse up to the head position of the enemy and repeat the same
you can practice this in aa_dima map or any other map where there are walls
2. with m4a you hit 4-5 bullets burst and not 2-3 and you can get a head shot often, else you will easily lose against AK in long range if you shoot 2-3 bullet burst

well the 9 pattern sounds rly bad.. I had this problem and still ocassionally, it should form a T pattern _ALWAYS_ with m4 and ak. first bullet always mid/shortrange to the middle of the crosshair. have u tried these things on the best possible server / your own server? You shouldn't encounter the 9 pattern on own server atleast. So that you know I'm pretty sure its a connection / rate related issue. try USP without controlling it.. If u shoot as fast as you can the 12 bullets should go STRAIGHT up with no exceptions.

Well I have trouble even in my own server the 9 patter problem. Also, whenever I fragged a guy I always fail to manage to frag another guy that pops out because the recoil isn't fix or something then I would aim the head and everything will miss. Right now, I am unable to create my own server because my windows is giving me errors upon doing it so I can only go to ONE server online.. Note that I've tried the tactic few months before I couldn't create my own server
