IHL World - CS 1.6 gatherleague with different skill divisions
We have 3 different channels which are divided by their skill level.
#ihl.int (pros and semi-pros)
#ihl.int2 (amateurs)
#ihl.int3 (basic players)
Every week(month) people get demoted and promoted. That means that e.g. Top10 of #ihl.int3 gets promoted to #ihl.int2 and the Last10 of #ihl.int2 will get demoted to #ihl.int3.
So you have a chance to play your way up to the top #ihl.int to play with some top players. You can play for free and you only need to fill out a very short application. This is necessary to avoid fakeaccounts!
Our league is some kind of a matchmaking system which runs through an IRC-bot. So you need to have IRC and an auth in order to play at our league. We got some customized IRC and a tutorial for creating an auth at our homepage:

How does the system work?
10 players can sign into a game. Then the host of this gather can start it with the command .confirmstart - Then the bot will generate 2 teams which are balanced by their individual experience points.
You gain exp-points by winning a match or you can lose exp-points by losing a match.
When you are vouched(registered) there are several commands you should know:
.sign - You sign into a game if a gather is opened
.out - You can sign out of a game
.startgame - You can start a game if there isn't one opened already
.aoe - You can see if a game is alread opend
.stats - You can see your rank and experience points
.result CT or .result Terror
When a game is finished you need to result the game in order to join a new gather. You can type in .teams and see which team you were on (CT/Terror) and result for the team who won. If at least 6 people resulted the game will be closed.
Is there an anticheat tool and gameservers?
We are using EAC - Easy Anti Cheat - in our gatherleague which can be downloaded for free at their website:

We have 14 high quality servers hosted in germany from FSHost.de which are equipped with EAC.
You start EAC -> pick german flag -> pick IHL World
How do I know which server we will be playing on?
You can see all our servers with the command !server
Then someone of the gather needs to look up an empty server and just tell the others on which server they should connect.
When you joined the server you have some commands to control the server:
.ready - When 10/10 players type in .ready in the chat the game will start
.unready - You can unready if you were ready but you need to fix something first
.cancel - If the game was live but one guy is AFK you can cancel the game and ready up again
Do I need to communicate with my teammates?
YES! We have a Teamspeak 3 server for every channel and you have to be there if you are playing a gather and you also need to talk english with your mates. At least you need to be able to tell your mates where you died and what the enemy is doing.
You will get flags for the teamspeak when you are getting vouched.
Are there any rules?

The most important things are that you always play with the right team tag and your IHL nickname on the server, e.g.

I would suggest Swedish hosting.
Are you retarded? German hosting is the best and most fair hosting to all players from Europe.

Haha, it's maybe not the best solution to your country, but that's not what he said, if you would read it properly. It's the best solution to players in Europe overall.
I'm playing in there, and i have 45-55 ping in these servers, and i can't feel the difference between 10ping and 55, so i think German server hosting is great for projects like this, because everyone has the same ping (except German players)

in fact latvian location aint bad either
i have 18-22 ms on skillz csdm and around 25 on fshost pinging from central poland so yeah latvian servers would do just fine for players from the region that is polish/baltic/swedish/finnish
cant say the same for swedish though 40 ms is a must and thats only for malmo based ones others are even worse

there are some cheaters in there, very rare but very annoying, I remember I played versus a team who had 2 wh and they knew exactly every strat we were doing

ihl2 is dead :(( no one is playing there like before...
IHL is pretty cool,better players than on ESL Versus :D
I just stopped playing because people kept complaining every match about something and don't say any information of enemies locations + some people don't even speak english.
Well everyone has to speak english and to communicate with his teammates but we can't check every match and listen to every team. We got a support ticket system were you can send a complaint in about ppl not behaving or not talking.

If you have read what it said after you submitted the application you would be already vouched!
Just come to #ihl.help channel and wait there till an admin calls you up. But you should come there when it's daylight outside! Otherwise i can't guarantee that an admin will be there for you.

So how can you check when the stats get reset?

When do these 4 weeks start and when do they end? 30 Games is quite a lot so I don't want to play a lot to find out that I only played 29 games when the stats get reset -.-

Those 4 weeks started with the opening of INT3 and new INT2 and i think 30 matches in 30 days isn't much to ask. That's ~10h CS / 2 weeks.

It's a fair bit if you have a full time job :) So I have to remember when the 4 weeks are over correct? In this case the 11th of August and so on.

I dont understand, but for me the servers were awful, im not lying. On g-portal.de servers i have 30-35 ping but on fshost i have 50-60. Also my shooting lags very badly. Dunno reason but thats how it is for me.

To be honest IHL was good in general before...but when you started with this format for more balanced teams it's even better...great job , keep it up , and yes we need to get someone from int3 back to int2 ;) can i invite someone from there or?

there was a friend of mine who played int2 daily and went afk and when he tried to play with me this morning he wasnt in int2 anymore...thats why i was saying

I play there and all is good, but everytime i've got in team player and he is like bot he moves like him and doesnt kill anybody, always i've got 20+ frags and i dont win, because i play with no brains and useless players. I think that is (-) of this gathers.

Doing you best has nothing to do with talent or training. It just says how much of your potential you used. So if he practiced 1 hour before and his talents is lets say medium, he wont perform as well as neo but hes still doing the best he can. Its all about potential, the skill itself is irrelevant.
