CSPromod 1.08 - come play with us!

Hey there fellow HLTV.org users!
As you might know, the CS-scene is moving into a new era. We have two new Counter-Strike games around the corner as 1.6 is on it's decline, and if you'd like to try out one of them competitively,
CSPROMOD, you now have the chance to do so. We are a couple of enthusiasts that have had a really fun time playing CSPromod 1.08-matches against eachother, and we'd like to have more people to play against!
First of all the game is free to play so you don't have to worry about paying for something. Get it here:

So, now you're wondering where to find opponents?
Easy!
Do you find IRC clumpsy? Don't worry, there's another way that i'll tell you about in this blogpost aswell.
There are some IRC-channels for you to find opponents in tho.
#csp.eu is probably the most prominent of them. It had a lot of idlers before someone sadly managed to takeover the channel and ban everyone, so please help them out getting the channel on it's feet again!

#cspro the european gatherchannel! Join, ask an @op for vouch and join a gather!
#ihl.csp also a gatherchannel that'll open up with the release of 1.09, unfortunately it has +m on right now which means you can't chat in there for now :(
By the way, even more things will happen when 1.09 comes out, for example excello will host regular tournaments!

So.. i'm hoping to see a lot of new faces to play the game in the wait of 1.09. You know have the chance to beat that cocky HLTV.org-spammer zaihtaM, because he is playing with three irl-friends that doesn't play CS ;)

I don't know what ping you get to a german server, but generally it is an issue in CSP 1.08, just like in 1.6 (not as big tho).
Yeah, it seems that the engine isn't so sensitive. I can play fine with up to 60ping and not feel it. In 1.6 60ping made it really hard for me to play.
Yeah, and in 1.09 it'll be an even smaller issue with the introduction of client prediction which'll make it feel like if you're playing on 400ms.
That 400ms thing is bullshit tho.
Nah, it'll make it _feel_ like you don't lag.
Tbere won't be HUD lag and weird stuff is cool but there will be A LOT of weird stuff happening in terms of bullet registration and stuff. There improve it a bit but they can't make it "lagfree". Because, you know, laws of physics and stuff.

I played esea on source sometimes ... i dont even notice the diffrence between standard 5-20 ping to 120 x
I get 150-200 ping on german servers :D gameplay/lag doesn't matter to me, i just want to play with you guys :3

No you won't :)
High ping is a big issue, unfortunately I can't find any server with ping lower than 200ms, it's lagging too much :E

I'ma ninja with 220ms, it's not big deal for me and it's always fun top play with europeans. Also in CSP i feel confortable to play even with this latency.

It is amazing, but i sent link for download cspromod to my 4 friends from my cs 1.6 clan, and all of them wrote to me that "game is amazing", "15x better than cs:go", "maps extra, guns drop is nice :D"... only they have problem with fps.
I must wait 20 days to buy pc and to start play with them :D cant wait :D
