In early 2002 Mousesports - short mouz - was founded by former members of the mystical lambda team, one of the strongest German CS squads throughout 2001. The starting roster consisted of Roman "Roman R." Reinhard (back in the days also known as legiOner), Jonas "Johnny R." Bollack, Nils "nils" Karowski, Sebastian "silencer" Schweitzer and Bruno "r0ok!e" Eberhardt. Before Mousesports first major international event, the WCG 2002, the roster was expanded with Christian "puCSt" Pust. The german team managed to place 3rd at the event making them the first German CS team to ever place in the top three at a major event. The same year Mousesports accomplished a first place finish in the first ever Electronic Professional Series - short EPS - the most prestigious German E-sports league.
Although they managed to have strong international and national success in their early stages, they couldn't manage to keep the top spot in their national rankings, as German rival, Team a-Losers, beat Mousesports in the EPS Season II final to claim the top spot in the german Counter-Strike community.
Following their failure against the a-Losers, Mousesports was quick to react making a-Losers star players Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel and Michael "neo" Matrega an offer they couldn't refuse. At the time Michael "neo" Matrega was considered the best Counter-Strike player in Germany, his acquisition shifted the balance of power in the german scene and paved the way for Mousesports dominating the German CS leagues for the next 10 years, achieving 12 EPS Season victories out of 19 possible Seasons.
Continuing the trend Mousesports again contracted further players from established teams midway through 2003, signing the Michael "Papst" Schmidt and Franz "gore" Burghardt formerly playing for Austrian team Infernum. Latter would become a longtime Mousesports member and player of the 2008 Mousesports Allstar team.
With a the starting lineup now consisting of Jonas "Johnny R." Bollack, Franz "gore" Burghardt, Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel, Michael "neo" Matrega and Roman "Roman R." Reinhard, Mousesports attended the CPL Winter 2003. A strong performance throughout the tournament earned them a 3rd place behind SK-gaming and Team NoA. The video below captures the most memorable in game plays from this squad in its 2002 - 2004 era.

The 04 campaign was completed without any notable international success as the team wasn't able to place in the top 3 at any major tournament and showed a lacking performance throughout the year.
Mousesports redeemed themselves the following year by placing 3rd at both at the WEG tournament and the ESWC. After four major events finished with the third place, talks were spreading in the community about the Mousesports curse - the inability of getting over the 3rd place hurdle.
To break the curse Mousesports released longtime member Jonas "Johnny R." Bollack and contracted ex SK-gaming and Team NoA star player Ola "elemeNt" Moum. The Norwegian was relocated to Germany with an own apartment and access to the team's facility, to help the team build chemistry. Mediocre in game performance and language problems within the team forced Mousesports to end the experiment, and reacquire Johnny R. as a starting member midway through 2006.
Drastic changes came upon Mousesports in 2007 as only two former members remained on the squad in addition to the three new players bought from Alternate Attax. Navid "Kapio" Javadi, Manuel "tixo" Makohl and Tim "silver" Hochgrebe, of which the former two were soon to be part of the 08 All Star team, were the strong additions signed from german rival organisation Alternate. Not satisfied with the squads performance Mousesports again made a splash in the community, signing Antonio "cyx" Daniloski and Fatih "gob b" Dayik from Team Frankfurts-Finest and releasing longtime player Blizzard and newly acquired silver.
The Mousesports Allstar team was born, combining the arguably best players from Germany in one roster.
Starting in July of 2007 the team went on to win six straight EPS seasons, making Mousesports the best german CS organisation in history. The biggest success on international level came with Mousesports winning the IEM Season 2 World Championship, beating the polish Meet your Makers team, and placing them at the top of the world rankings.
The german powerhouse would continue its winning path by placing 3rd at the ESWC 2008, 1st at the IEM Season III Dubai Challenge and 1st at the IEM IV European Championship Finals. Mousesports dominance came to an abrupt halt when news was released that star player Antonio "cyx" Daniloski had died in a car crash in July 2010. Antonio had missed his flight with the rest of the team, attending a tournament in Asia, which forced him to re-book his flight to the very next day. On the way back from the airport he was involved in a car crash that would end deadly for him.
With the sad loss of Antonio "cyx" Daniloski Mousesports never returned to old strength and it left the German CS community without arguably its greatest player in history. Soon after, the remaining members of the Mousesports Allstar team left the organisation, leaving Mousesports in rebuilding mode from which it wouldn't recover. After several attempts to rebuild the team without any success, the latest attempt being the acquisition of two Danish star players Danny "zonic" Sorensen and Finn "karrigan" Andersen, Mousesports closed the chapter on Counter-Strike 1.6 in March 2012.

Yeah, they had a good run, shame that it went this way. I used to like the games they presented, cash 1on5 is pretty nice :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_UVR6JO7-o
Mmm, this looks 'copypasted'.

I liked their rivalry with mTw.aTn around 02 era
Cyx's death made they sad and so losing a teammate and a good friend its too hard I think, but mousesports over the years have been impressive so all know that.
I like mouz, their fights between polish G5 are always very classic for me.
