CS:GO Settings for beginners
2012-09-29 18:08
It's Boooring, so I'm posted a blog for Counter Strike:Global Offensive beginners!
Enjoy.

Game settings:
- Now go to the GAME SETTINGS and set your favourite Crosshair style, color and other.. I prefer Classic/Green crosshair because it's like in CS1.6 and the best iMo.

Video settings:
- In Video settings you can change brightness, Hud scale, Aspect ratio, resolution, Display mode and other.
For me 1.82 brightness is normal, I prefer hud scale 1, Aspect ratio 4:3, resolution 1024x768.

Resolution:
- Primarily, set the resolution which is the best in your opinion, This will help you a lot, you will see! I prefer 1024x768(it's clean screen and You can play normal, ofc If you love good graphic quality)

Video-Advanced:
- Maybe, this is the most important thing for HD Graphic lovers!
You can change details to low/medium or high/very high, If you set details to high on lower computer, you fps will get down!
If you have PC like this:
CPU: 3GHz single-core Intel or AMD processor
RAM: 1GB for Windows XP, 2GB for Windows Vista / Windows 7
Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible 256 MB graphics card, Nvidia 8000 series or AMD 3000 series.
Operating system: Windows XP SP2.
Then set your details to low or medium for better fps ingame and lower resolution can help you to get up fps/

But, If your configuration is like this:
CPU: Dual core Intel,core2duo,quadcore or better AMD processors..
RAM: 1GB for Windows XP, 2GB for Windows Vista/7
Graphics: DirectX 10 compatible 512 MB graphics card, Nvidia 400 series or AMD 5000 series.
Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit or XP.
DirectX compatible sound card.
You can easily play on medium/high detail, your fps will be playable and you will enjoy the game!

Audio settings:
- Audio settings will give you advantage for your ingame voice, speaker configuration, and Music/Master volume. I think you don't need change anything, but if you want you can try :)
At Me that's default.

Extra:
- When you connect to a server your cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate are automatically adjusted to match the server tickrate so don't touch these.

rate 80000 - (def. value) or higher if You think this would help
cl_cmdrate 128 - If Your fps are lower, use 64!
cl_updaterate 128 - Set it equal to cl_cmdrate (not a must).
cl_interp 0 - Don't set this manually, just let it stay on 0.
cl_interp_ratio 1 - Use 2 if you experience some loss/chocke.

- Achievements in CS:GO
That's cool, when you first time make 2 kills with one bullet(awp) you got medal, If you have 500 awp kills you become a AWP Expert.. and so on.. Below are My combat skills, nothing special 8-)

Tip:
Set your resolution to 640x480, and details to low! This will help to get up your fps ingame. Fps configs are sucks.

You can also download my config via www.gamingcfg.com/config/Dek1n1

That's all! I hope that I'm help you, If you have any questions feel free to ask here at PM or at my facebook page. Sorry for some language mistakes. 3:)

Fellow Greenlander! Can I add you on steam?
2013-03-28 02:12:26
Console game for sure ^^
2012-09-29 18:20:41
I dont recommend 640x480 for 2 reasons :
1) You wont necessarly have better fps with lower resolution since the game uses mainly your CPU and not your GPU.
2) With lower resolution , it's way harder to notice people with all the shit on the maps , I have to leave 860x and play on 1024x to see my enemies.

I'm tested, when I set 1024x768 my fps is 50, but when I change it to 640x480 my fps is 70/80.

HD resolution are for the best quality, that's the reason..

E: Maybe I'm wrong..

it's strange , with my 3 years old laptop I dont have any difference when I change my resolution . The most importnant thing is to enable multicore , my fps went from 20 to 120 :p
2012-09-29 18:45:46
Okay, not important :))
2012-09-29 18:48:46
Theres no differece between 640x480 and 1024x768 for sure.
2012-10-01 18:29:12
enable multicore? care to explain
2012-10-16 22:40:43
where to enable the multicor ?
2012-10-24 12:25:26
Not rly, i have 120~220 fps on 800X600 and 70~180 on 640X480, but i have most stable fps on 1024X768 100~150 (all low and disabled, paged memory high)
setup dualcore e5200 3.2 ghz oc, 4gb ram, nvidia 9600 GT w7 64bit + MSIAfterburner for gpu oc
2012-09-30 17:21:25
And how much fps could i have with intel core2duo 2.0 2 gb ram(i can upgrade it no problem) and nVIDIA 9500 GT ?
2012-10-03 23:05:58
many :] 100+ ofc, 70fps playable.
2012-10-04 07:37:15
I read somewhere that 16:9 resolution is better than 4:3

Feel free to add some constructive criticism then.

Yes, I accept criticism, but I think that blog is good for newbies. Considering that crZy isn't newbie He don't need add criticism. 8-)

E: and Yes, He can if he want :))

its a good blog, you just need to finish it a little bit like:

Tip:
Set your resolution to 640x480, and details to low! This will help to get up your fps ingame. Fps configs are sucks.

change it for:

Tip:

Set your resolution to 1024x768 (because with 640 you will have very little chance to see the enemies because of so much shit on the maps atm)
And details for low :)

first of all - when you play with Anti Aliasing there are no reason for "high" settings if u have a core2duo with GTX260 - put everything on low and let the MSAA & Anti Aliasing be on.

Then you save alot of FPS and the game wont change view.

Unless your sitting with i7-39x with 8/12gb DDR & GTX680 you wont have any good of playing with those settings contra the ones i use fx.

Great advice
2012-09-30 14:30:47
Don't listen to this chef. He doesn't know a shit about computers.

My recommendations are that you play with 800x600 resolution widescreen to get maximum sight.

Keep all gamer-settings to the lowest besides Texturefiltering which should be Trillionare and not billinare.

You don't need AA och AF, there's no need to smooth out details. Using AA is like using gl_picmip 1 in CS, it becomes blurry :D

Either way not a detailed blog for the newbie and not information enough regarding settings either.

3/10 @ blog.

800x600 widescreen?

2012-09-30 18:32:59
You can set widescreen on your monitor, if you got that function, you can set it on any resolution. :D

I've that function so I can set 16:9@800x600 don't know if you all got that mawnitor.

Like a bauwzzzzz
2012-09-30 18:34:23
yeah u can do that atleast from nvidia controlpanel.
2012-09-30 18:42:07
That will just not use black bars, so all you're doing is stretching the screen. Unlike using a real 16:9 resolution, where you play in actual widescreen and you can see slightly more in GO compared to 1.6 and CSS.

you really have no clue what you talk about.

But thats no news =)
2012-10-02 09:32:33
Who of us here is the Computer Scientist, me or you?

Who of us here studies at a regional university in Sweden? Me or you?

So why do you even bother acting like you know shit about computers nor game graphics when you don't even know how to use a pc in the first place.

#pleasegetthefuckout thx
2012-10-07 14:12:11
if you're truly a computer "scientist", then you should know better than to think 800x600 can ever give you "more view" if you put it in widescreen... its a 4:3 resolution... meaning putting it in 16:9 or 16:10 widescreen, will just stretch the 800x600 resolution...

you should consider stopping with the big words, before you make yourself become even more of a joke.

ps. i studied computer engineering, and i have a bachelor. in case you feel the need to "belittle" me aswell.

have a nice day.
2012-10-12 15:46:01
computer engineering is not even near computer science when it comes to actual software management.

bye.

computer engineering is the understanding of mechanism in computing.

byeeeeee and since i have a monitor that allows me to change 4:3 to scaled widescreen.

by that, you're a joke bra, i soon to have a CompSci degree in approx 2 years. hf working with the hardware development and inventing new parts !
2012-10-24 12:09:32
So please explain to me, genius, how you get more view out of 800x600, by stretching it to widescreen? please.. i beg of you... wizard of oz.
2013-03-26 18:35:33
Knowing you it is probably a big lie, so can you provide some proof that you actually do study at that university?

Also, George Bush studied at Yale and Harvard, that didn't make him any less of an idiot did it? Any news with the picture btw? Shouldn't be no problem for a "computer scientist".
2013-03-26 18:55:27
hmm well I use 1920x1080 or 1280x720 and it runs approx 120fps stable without fps_max 100. I have all on the highest setting possible & my pc is pretty crappy when it comes to the cpu. Intel Core2Quad Q6600(like 4-5y old) 2.4Ghz overclocked to 2.75Ghz or so with NVIDIA GF GTX460 768mb, 8Gb DDR2 800Mhz.. so no those i7-39x 8/12gb DDR GTX680 aint accurate, although if u meant that the fps should be 300 with all highest those might be the proper solution.
2012-09-30 18:41:09
dafuq my fps is between 60-120 and i have E8400 Core2duo Nvidia 560GTX-Ti 8GB ram and im running lowest details and 1024x720 res :S
2012-10-01 10:43:22
apparently the multicore rendering works better 4 me since i've got quad core and u have dual core.. the game is mostly about cpu. quad with around 3Ghz works perfectly even though you might have Nvidia GT220 or some other low end gpu.
2012-10-01 15:33:56

its only because of your quad core - and ur gtx460 is pretty good too.

120 fps stable is fine with that setup, no doubt - im talking about 200-300 fps stable ;)
2012-10-02 09:33:37
+1
2012-10-01 18:29:30
Ive also noticed that the sound is bugged when set to default. Now ive put sound to headphones and the sound ingame is much better
2012-09-30 13:58:40
remove multicore renderring atm, it makes CSGO crashing when ure dead
2012-09-30 15:20:56
u just can press escape after death and u won't crash
2012-10-01 07:56:34
Weird i have similar (medium, low etc) setting on a sick pc and still fps problem ;/
2012-09-30 18:01:20
When will game be free?

Probably after any other CS game is free m8. I suggest waiting for a sale if you have a problem with the price tag. Will be less than a year before it becomes 5-10 dollars in a sale usually.
2012-10-01 05:09:15
How much does it cost at the moment?
2012-10-01 11:06:35
13e
2012-10-01 11:24:33
Well that's not much, but if I buy game now in beta version, will I be able to play original version after?
2012-10-01 11:27:40
csgo isn't in beta! FULL.
2012-10-01 11:29:34
I thought it is because every week we see some updates.
2012-10-01 12:52:37
i would buy CS:GO if you gave me your money
2012-10-01 13:31:58
ok, lets make a swtitch then!
i can buy cs:go if you buy me a really nice pc for i can play it to! what you think? :b
2012-10-01 15:06:41
i could give you my old one
2012-10-01 15:21:14
