How to link!

HOW TO LINK
(First of all: sorry, Lord of the Links, but I just had to do this!)
It seems that more and more users have problems with making links referring to other websites actually work!
Almost every other thread that pops up contains links, but unlinked!
So i thought, why not make some sort of a guide?
Due to the fact that I'm very bored and I have nothing else to do, I'll make one ;)
Let's go!
Let's take a fictional scenario!
A new user opens a thread, asking for if there are any RULES on HLTV.org. You, as a veteran member, know exactly that there actually are, and you even know where they're hidden (some ppl still don't know i suppose....)

So you think, I'll help this newbie and post the link to the RULES page!
You copy the link, and paste it into your writing window. Now the linking occurs!
To make the link work, you have to mark it first!
Then you have to klick on the "LINK" button located above your writing window, and --> there you go!

In the end, klick "POST" and you're job is done ;)
You should always check your linked website, because in some cases it won't work! In these cases just post the link and TELL us that we have to copy paste it, otherwise the Lord of the Links try to link it and get frustrated if it doesn't work (:P:P)!!
There is, however, a little thing that can occur, and it ruins your link completely!
You have to pay attention to how your link looks like after pressing the "LINK" button!
Because sometimes it happens that the [LINK] sign is on the line above (!) your actual link! -->
[LINK]
www.whatever.idk ...
that won't work! It has to look like this:
[LINK]www.whatever.idk....
In the end i want to refer to the earlier mentioned Lord of the Links! Thanks for your effort! And I want to thank my 2 ForumAdmin mates as well! It's nice to work with you ;)

i recently was working as a newswriter for a swiss clan.. there it was quite easy ;)

We do not have that feature on HLTV.org as you could hide a bad link below harmless text..
Honestly, I think the problem resides more in the nowadays mood of clicking everything and everywhere instead of "hideous" content within a shortened link (which sometimes comes in quite handy :D).
