Why ? That was my old pc, resolution was 1024 , had 100+ on full dm, on 5v5 ~ 150 and 170~220 on mirage, both cpu and gpu were OC, with stronger cooler, temps were around 40~50 C.
I also know that some of my friends with "stronger" AMD cpu/gpu's had less fps than me :)

dude ... i have that same exact CPU and exact ram and 650gtx which is better than the 9600gt

and i cant even get 60 fps on a deathmatch average is 50 ...

FX8350 is not good for gaming... the Intel i5-3570 costs around the same and is for games MUCH better. Even a i3-CPU is near the level of the AMD CPU when it comes down to games.

But the GPU is excellent, no doubt about it.

I love to oc, so I won't go for i5-3570. If I go for i5-3570K the budget of the rig will be increased by almost 5k INR which I cannot afford. But looking at the latest benchmarks FX8350 almost equals i5-3570K in gaming so why not?

dude i'm not a newb. if you read my post correctly then "I love to oc, so I won't go for i5-3570. If I go for i5-3570K the budget of the rig will be increased by almost 5K INR which I cannot afford". You need z77 / z75 ( not available in india) chipsets to oc a unlocked K version processor.

It costs 10,000Rs while a Gigabyte GA-B75-D3H costs 4000Rs. Get my point? The cost of the rig is being increased by 6000Rs. The cheapest z77 motherboard - AsRock Pro 4 costs 8000Rs, that's why I mentioned that the overall cost of the rig will be increased by 4000Rs. But for AMD build, Asus m5a97 costs 6250Rs.

Yeah, budget is a huge issue for me. Currently I have a low-end pc of 2003 which runs 1.6 with 30fps. :D Saved about 50k for a new pc. :)

There's not much of a difference and sometimes (mostly at low graphic settings) the 7870 even has some fps more, like at Battlefield 3 on low settings.

1) Who tested it and where is testing methodology?
2) Where are the resolutions?
3) Where are the graphic settings?
4) Radeon HD 5830, 5850, 5870 are all 5800 SERIES, but there is a very big difference between these gpus. (likewise the 5500 series, 7700 series, etc) So what particular videocards were tested?
Without all this information this thread is useless.
And i can smell bullshit when i read that GTX 460m can do more FPS than a desktop version GTX 460

200+ for sure, but I will suggest you; don't buy i5 it's just spending money 60+ fps stable without drops in smokes/firefights is good and playable. As you wish :)

Also, you can cap your fps and it will be better than drops from 120 to 80, just cap it to fps_max 76 and enjoy! ;- )

Also, you should set some requirements. In what kind of situations do these people have that amount fps? While playing DM? A 5on5 maybe? While nobody is in the server? etc...

Anyways my specs:
i7 740QM, 6gb RAM, GT330m overclocked to 650/1430/900
800x600 everything on very low & low - bilinear

Empty server: 200fps++
5on5: 100-160fps (fluctuates like fuck... and drops even lower with smokes)
Deathmatch: 50-90fps

Besides that, 100-160 fps during 5on5s doesn't feel fluent at all. I've also tried capping my fps, it also feels sluggish.

And nah, my fps is fine with these specs. I'm bottlenecked by both my CPU & GPU in CS:GO.

Look for all guys with dual-coree5200/300 or stronger, overclocked from stock 2.5 to 3.2 ghz,
and with nvidia 9600GT or stronger i made ss with my old pc with stable 150 fps and on some maps like tuscan and mirage it goes up to 250 on 800X600 med settings on 5on5, and 90~140 on full deathmatch

People in this thread seem to hit really low FPS (around 100 @ 5on5s) with that FX-4100 for some reason. This number SEEMS really low for what the processor is capable of, I'd say the numbers aren't correct.
But yeah you could also overclock it, to make sure it perform like you want it to do.

These numbers are VERY inaccurate. I just checked down the whole list and I see a lot of wrong FPS settings. As an example take a look at configuration #19. My brother has a PC quite similar and it never drops down below 100 (not implying the highest video settings).

You must take a few things in consideration: Resolution, level of details, AA etc.

However it is actually a quite brilliant blog to make people compare and get an idea of what CS:GO require. It is just too bad that this isn't reliable.

You're not playing 5on5s with that kind of fps, you're probably hitting 150-220fps.

You mean 4 cores and 8 threads? 3930k starts with 6 cores and Xeon is above that. 3770k has 4 cores and not 8.

FPS: 290 to 300, constant on deathmatch. This entire thread doesn't really matter as CS:GO is a flawed game. Ran tests with two different pairs of identical machines only to find they had different FPSs with the same temperature, software configuration etc. The difference is also massively large. So if you're hoping to achieve a similar if not the same FPS by buying the same hardware mentioned in this thread you might probably end up having a different FPS altogether. This is what happens when a broken game is put out in the market.

No, not at all, because cpu is uberlow so if you buy better gpu = bottleneck!

geforce gt 610 ddr3

ram 4gb

and i got on very low/med

60 fps ? any1 know how to fix it ?
